30 | One Wish

Seohyun woke up the next day, jolting up from the sofa in panic; Her heart is beating fast and sweats are visible in her forehead. A couple of minutes later, she finally snapped back from reality. A huge sigh of relief escaped her lips once she saw that her wife is sleeping on the hospital bed, safe. Then she saw her little boy, to another hospital bed next to her Daddy, made her sigh again. 

 

Her dream or nightmare is so bad - losing both of these two precious kids.

 

She approached her son and looked down into him. Her concern over him is honestly double compared to Yoona. Because yesterday when he woke up after he fainted, he was screaming about the gun shots and his Daddy's name. He keeps on crying for hours. And when she asked her to eat, he didn't respond and would rather stay in the bed, staring into the space. Sometimes he would suddenly and cover his ears. As if, he can still hear the faint gun shots he heard. It was said that her son is having a traumatic experience. Since he's too young for what happened, it's easy for her to be in the case.

 

Tears once again roll down her cheeks, as she felt sorry and felt bad for her son. She felt like she had failed her duty as a good parent for him. She certainly can't take it and blame herself for this. She only wanted the best for him.

 

How could she careless? She knew him well. They should have brought him back at home, this wouldn't happen.

 

Leaning down, she gently caress his cheeks and gently place her lips against his forehead and his cheeks. "I'm so sorry baby. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." She whispers, can't stop her tears from flowing and can't stop her chest from being heavy and unbearable. She wiped her tears that drops in her son's cheeks upon realizing she's now quietly crying. "Omma is so sorry... Baby."

 

The room is now filled with her soft sobs - that made one doe-eyed to forcefully wake up from her deep slumber.

 

Yoona groaned a little as she tilt her head to her left, where the sobs are coming from. It took few blinks before she realized the one creating it is her lovely wife. Now, doesn't look lovely because of her heavy sight, breaking down next to their son. "Aigoo." She sighed, but she honestly felt the same. It's their huge responsibilities as parents to protect and keep their children away from harm. Yet, they failed. She failed to do it for their son. Thus, she felt relieved she was able to protect him. She was able to keep her promise. "I promise, from now on, Nothing will happen bad anymore, kidwolf. Like Daddy always said." Mutters her softly, as a slowly, a big smile formed in her lips, realizing that it was the naughty Daniel she saved. Being his Daddy for the first time wasn't easy because of his personality, that she even thought of giving up, but now... She's like risking her life to save him. To keep him always safe. She had really grown loving this kid for 3 years.

 

She wanted to cry actually, but it will only make her wife look at her. And probably she will scold her from crying. She doesn't want to see it.

 

After some moments, Seohyun finally calmed down. She composed herself back and wiped the remaining tears in her cheeks. She felt silly for crying, because it looks like she just loss her kidwolf. But she's glad she was able to release her disappointments of herself while her son is still sleeping. She wouldn't like him to see her weak. Turning her head to her fourth child, her brows creased when she caught Yoona just covered her head. Speaking pf concern, she had this huge concern over her wife yesterday as well when she was still in the emergency room, being treated. It took 3 hours before they had completely removed the bullets from her leg. It was a huge relief for her as well that it wasn't that bad. She only need to stay in the hospital for a week, and the rest of the medication will be done at home. Only that, it will be difficult for her to walk for the mean time.

 

She approach her wife back and decided to take her seat next to her. She hit her arm, and the other girl giggles faintly underneath the blanket. "Yah!" She hit her again, and the latter finally pulled the blanket down, pouting towards her.

 

"You know, sometimes I wish I never meet you."

 

"Wae?" Yoona got more reason to sulk.

 

Seohyun hit her wife again. "You are so immature. I thought my fourth child have grown up?" She shot her a playful glare. But Yoona had a choding smile and stuck her tongue out. "Aigoo, what can I expect from you. Just recover fast, hmm?" She rubs her arm, making up from the hits she did.

 

"You know I'm not always immature baby. I'm-"

 

"Cool and Serious too. Which I an thankful always. Because you think well if you are. Look what you've done - you save our kidwolf so fast. Are you secretly a superman, eh?"

 

Yoona beamed with a smile. "Super Yoong should be the term."

 

"Yeah, that sounds better." Seohyun smiled back, sweetly. But her attention diverted to Daniel again. Yoona followed her gazes to their son as well. "He'll have a stess debriefing later with a psychiatrist. Yoong, I'm worried for our son. I hope he can be talk later he wakes up."

 

"Not only you. I'm also worried though." Yoona let out a sigh.

 

"I won't forgive myself if he'll continue like this."

 

"I doubt so. You know our kidwolf is the best. He's strong. He will eventually recover without us being informed." Yoona confidently uttered, earning a glance from her lover. She flashed her a charming yet reassuring smile towards her.

 

"I hope so. But he's just a kid, Yoong. Trauma is-"

 

"Don't think like that. We should be strong for him as well. He needed us the most at times likes this you know. Do you think it he will recover fast if you continue blaming yourself? Let's just keep helping him out until our kidwolf will be back... Pretty soon."

 

"Yeah, you are right." Seohyun mutters. Just then, her eyes lit up when she witnessed the topic of their conversation finally woke up. She instinctively rushed to his side and greeted him. "Good morning my baby. How's your sleep?" She put her brightest smile, she could ever had.

 

Daniel's lips pouted and tears once again drops the corner of his eyes. "Daddy... Daddy... She was shot. She was shot twice Omma. I'm sorry. I'm so soooooory." He can't help it and cry so loud again. The memory from the shooting is still so fresh in his mind. It keeps playing in his brain, like it was being loop.

 

"Daddy is so safe now, Baby. Look." Yoona said, loud enough for Daniel to turn his head towards her. She smiled so big and raise her left leg in the air, though the other was the injured.

 

Daniel has more reason to cry. Seohyun quickly enveloped her son to her arms. Her tears drops unconsciously, as her heart is breaking into pieces. Though her son had finally call her, it still breaking her heart.

 

"Aish, the fifth child is crying too. Tsk,tsk." Yoona declared her wife as the fifth child of the family.

Jessica and Yul are once again walking the hallway of different hospital, don't have any worries now if they will find the Im-Seo's maknae in front of the door, guarding it, because they certainly have this confidence they'll walk in without any hassle. Unfortunately, when they finally arrived in front of Yoona and Daniel's ward, Yoohyun isn't doing her job. They're puzzled. Yet, they continued knocking on the door.

 

"Come in." Mr. Im's voice was heard inside.

 

Yul opened the door in behalf of his wife. He let her in first before he walks in, following her inside. 

 

"Oh, Yul. Sica. It's good you guys are here now. Can you guys convince this choding to believe that President Lee is really under the police's custody now? She doesn't want to believe it." Mr. Im said, greeting the couple with a request.

 

"Yes? Why?" Jessica frowns.

 

"I just can't believe it because I don't think he's in the same place." Yoona defended herself.

 

"He's there Yoong. Inside Tiffany's car parked outside the café." Yul said. "You didn't see it because you are busy protecting Daniel. Thanks for saving my son by the way." He gratefully says at the end.

 

"Our son, coz she's also my son too, Oppa." Yoona reminded her brother. "But really? How do you guys know?"

 

"Our security. They called Taeyeon. When he knew you guys are in danger, he might have think he can save you guys. It's the reason Daniel left the van - that I didn't have the power to stop him - otherwise, I could hurt him.  But once he left, President Lee's men who were hiding at the next building opened fire to aim on him. Thank God and you were faster than them and you have covered Daniel." Yul let out a sigh. "But would have been me though. It's disappointing."

 

"No wonder he's always saying stuffs like he failed and he was so sorry for the shot I got." Yoona shared, sighing as well.

 

"But with all that happened, President Lee is now detained. Thanks to Taeyeon she's too fast to have a plan. Oh, And I doubt he can even leave the prison. So we are so safe now from his evil plans." Mr. Im reassured his daughter.

 

"What happened to that Tiffany?" Jessica curiously asked.

 

"Detained as well because she's part of the plan. But she has lesser punishment compared to her boyfriend."

 

"Boyfriend?" Yul, Yoona and Jessica all said at the same time.

 

"She admitted it. She's in a relationship with Joonki." Mr. Im informed, as he recalled the brief conversation he had with the girl. He was there when the two were detained. 

 

"Wow. I didn't expect that." Yoona muttered.

 

"According to her, for 2 years now."

 

"Not bad. They're still fresh. Not surprising she will do whatever he asks for." Yul commented, somehow felt disappointed because people can be like that.

 

"Yeah." Jessica simply says, giving her husband a pat on his shoulder. "But I have one question, Where are the kids? Where's Daniel and his siblings?" She realized, the room only has Yoona and her father. "Not to mention, Seohyun?"

 

"Yeah, I also noticed." Yul raised his brows.

 

"They're with the kidwolf. Apparently seeing the psychiatrist." Yoona informed before she bit on her apple she's holding. "You might... want to see them." She sighed once she saw Yul just instantly left the room. 

 

"He's too worried over his kidwolf too." Jessica mutters, taking a seat next to Yoona's bed, and next to Mr. Im. "Thanks Appa Im." she bowed a little and smile as she took the fork that has the slice of an apple.

 

"I thought you're busy, Unnie?"

 

Jessica glance at Yoona after she heard it. "I said I won't be busy if it's about the family." she grinned, sheepishly. "You know, I have to make sure Daniel is okay now. It looks like he is now?"

 

Yoona and her father are both speechless, as they looked at the blonde with an awkward smile.

 

"Oh, by the way - so is it safe now to go around without security, Appa Im?" Jessica suddenly have this question that pops to her head.

 

"Well, we still have to be careful. There still needs for security, but not as tight as the last time... Because it's not as dangerous anymore."

 

"I think the only danger is every time my wife goes furious." Yoona chuckled, earning laughter from her father and her brother's wife.

 

Meanwhile, Yul is outside the office of the psychiatrist only. He doesn't want to disturb anymore, as he can see his son now talking with the Doctor, while creating tears. Probably recalling what happened and answering questions from the doctor. He can't hold it and feel his heart heavy, while just watching. Being the one in his side when it happened, he also felt responsible at the same time disappointed of his failure, from preventing him to come out. He covered his mouth to prevent himself from crying, while holding his emotions that's killing him inside. It's hard seeing him not the bright boy anymore. "Please be okay now kidwolf. Appa is sorry for what happened." Mumbles him bitterly. He wiped his tears momentarily while eyes are not leaving his son. 

 

As time passes, he realized Yoohyun is holding his brother's left hand while his twin brother is on the other hand. Daniel is sitting on his mother's lap, not to mention. It somehow melt his heart, that the siblings are so adorable, supporting their brother.

Jessica had an amuse smile in her face when she went back to the Im-Seo's ward. She was greeted by a beautiful sight, Yoonie and Paul are playing with legos with her Daddy on her bed while Daniel is clinging into his mother, while they're reading a book. An a story book that never failed for Daniel to smile.

 

"Danny, how are you doing now buddy?" She decided to approach the young boy's bed to check on him.

 

"Yoonie is taking care of Daniel Oppa, Unnie." Yoona said, replying in behalf of her son whose head shook in disapproval.

 

"And why?" Jessica and Seohyun has the same words when they reacted to Daniel's reaction.

 

"Omma is taking care of Danny, not Yoonie Daddy." Daniel possessively wrapped his arms around his mother's waist. Seohyun hugs her kidwolf and squeezed the hell out of him.

 

"Daddy-yah!!! look!!! Omma not love Yoonie anymore!!!" Yoonie can't help it and felt jealous, whining childishly.

 

"Don't worry, Daddy loves you." Yoona also hugs her daughter. Paul also joined and hugs his little sister behind.

 

"NOOOOO!!!" But Yoohyun still whines. "Yoonie want Omma!!! too!!"

 

Everyone in the room laughs out loud. Jessica didn't missed the moment and captured the family right into her phone. 'Kyaaa, I can't wait to have babies like them.' thus spazzing over the thought of getting pregnant pretty soon. Watching the Im-Seo is just making her dream for a perfect and cute family.

Yoona who had a refreshing shower for about 30 minutes, opened the television in the master bedroom she and her wife shared, back in the mansion. She carefully and gently takes her seat in the sofa and flipped for channels she wanted to watch - but she unexpectedly stopped in a certain breaking news. In which, she had full attention 

 

"2 months later after the bloody shootout that involved the Chairman of Im Co., The former President Lee will be transferred to a much secure prison. It's a lifetime imprisonment punishment, since he's also involved in the bombing that losses innocent people. The company's former president was found guilty two weeks ago, after being captured by the police and private agents of the family. Blah... Blah... blah..."

 

Yoona felt relieved to have known the man behind the death threats has been already captured. However, she felt a little regret that she had never seen him  in person after the incident. Her father forbid her for a reason, it will just put another stress on her. She find the reason silly, though. She just want to talk to see him again, to at least punch him right straight on his face - for hurting her family.

 

Besides the topic about Lee JunKi, the breaking news also involved her father - which made her smile - watching him on TV once again, talking about the progress of the company after the incident. It was a shock to business industry when her father revealed himself to the public again. But so far, they're slowly accepting him back. As for now, she's in her deserving break from being the Chairman, while her father and Seohyun's parents are taking care the loss of the company.  After all that happened, she still wants to continue her position. It's what she promised to her father, even though he's back. It's time for her to take over the company wholeheartedly.

 

Meanwhile, Seohyun walked into the room, wearing this disappointing look, once she saw what is her wife doing. "Aigoo, look who's still watching the TV? Dress up now! We are going to be late!" She literally commanded, earning a grin from her. "Aish." She reached for her hand and pulled her up, yet, only to give her a chance to put her arms around her. She tried to let go of her, but it only tightens. "Yoongie, we're going to be late. The kids are all up outside, waiting for us." she tried to complain as well, but she receives butterfly kisses all over her neck and then span her around, so that she's hugging her in the front.

 

"Ugh, what is up with you, eh?" Seohyun chuckles, somehow melting away from her wife's embrace.

 

"If you are wishing you never meet me, I'm so glad I meet and married you." Whispered the doe-eyed against the Seohyun's ear. She smiled from ear to ear in contentment. Who wouldn't be glad? After all the problems and the fights they encountered, she's still standing with her, hugging her freely whenever she wants.

 

"And what's your point?"

 

Yoona slowly pulled back and peck a lingering kiss to her wife's lips. "My point is, I feel very grateful - I have chosen to love such a beautiful and strong person. Regrets is never in my vocabulary ever since I married you. You know, I'm not just a proud Daddy for the kids, but I am also proud of you... my baby wife."

 

"What's all with the cheesiness?" Seohyun's heart did flutter from the sweet words her lover is saying. But she felt weird, that she's suddenly blabbering words like this while they're in the middle of the day. And just when they're going out for the twins' play.

 

Yoona hugs her wife again, heck only to whisper, "So can we have another maknae? Yoonie is not enough for me, baby."

 

"What?!" Seohyun's cheeks blush. "Didn't I-"

 

"Please?" Yoona cupped her wife's face again. "Because of our problems, we forgot about our plan to have another baby. Please? Pretty Pleaseeeee!!!"

 

"For crying out loud! Stop whining baby!" 

 

Yoona grinned. "So we will have another baby?" and kiss her lips again.

 

"So your cheesiness earlier too is for this?" Seohyun glared at her wife.

 

"No! I was telling you the truth! But I just realized, our Yoonie is growing up fast. Didn't we planned to have a 5th child? Then after this no more."

 

"Who's the 4th child?" Seohyun's brows creased in curiosity. She only know they have the twins and their little maknae Yoonie.

 

"Me." Yoona smugly smiled, earning a giggle from her wife.

 

"No." However, Seohyun still stubborn. She pushed her wife near to the closet momentarily. "You change clothes or I will lock you up here!" she threatened, before animatedly runs out the room before Yoona could get her back.

 

"YAAAAA!!! I HATE YOU!" Yoona stomps her feet and force herself to open the closet and search for her outfit of the day. "Aish, Yoonie will already turn 4 this year. I will miss carrying little child in my arms."

 

Outside, Seohyun is fixing her hair while walking down the stairs. She smiled so big, upon seeing her maknae at the end of the stairs, sitting while back facing her. "Yoonie? My baby is waiting for Omma?" She called out loud. Unfortunately, her maknae runs out, as if she didn't hear her voice. "Aigoo, this kid." She decided to shrugs off her weird behavior and follow her outside. Narsha, Wendy and the twins are playing with a ball, while they're waiting. But she noticed, Her maknae is behaving in the side. She's just sitting in the bench, while hugging her mickey mouse stuff toy. Tiptoeing, she quietly approached her and take a seat next to her without any noise. To her dismay, Yoohyun moved away from her. "Are you okay baby?" She asked, getting more concern now. She wasn't like this earlier when she woke up with the twins.

 

Yoohyun just nod her head without giving her mother a glance.

 

"Omma, where's Daddy?" Daniel asked, as he approached the bench with his brother Paul.

 

"She's still changing." Seohyun informed the twins.

 

"The principal of the school already called about the twins." Narsha have also informed Seohyun.

 

"Chincha? Aish, Yoona is so lazy!" Seohyun hissed showing her disappointment over her choding wife.

 

"Lazy of what Omma?" Asked Paul, curiously.

 

"Is her wound over her leg opened that she felt lazy?" Daniel asked in concern, though it's been two months since that incident.

 

"Just lazy to change twins." Seohyun smiled amusingly to her twins. Narsha and Wendy did the same. "But what is happening to our Yoonie? She's not talking." She whispers. As if her maknae won't hear her.

 

The twins' attention went to their little sibling. They looked at each other and back to her again. Both are puzzled why Yoohyun is immobile in her seat while hugging tightly her stuff toy. Her face is buried to the stuff toy, not to mention.

 

"Yoonie? Is there something wrong?" Daniel ask softly in concern. "Come on, tell us." But the latter didn't respond.

 

"Do you want to eat something Yoonie?" Paul asks this time, earning a little shake of her head.

 

"Yoonie is not well?" Seohyun asked this time, placing her palm against the little girl's forehead. She earned a shaking of head from her as well.

 

Everyone around the maknae sighed.

 

"Then what baby?" Seohyun raised her brows. She's totally worried now. She wanted to know what is going with her so she can give it to her. So she can see her bright again. Unfortunately she's ignoring their concern. Until Yoona's name crosses her mind, she asks about her. "Do you want me to drag forcefully your Daddy here now? Then we will kick her for being so lazy."

 

The twins smiled, amused. Yoohyun also smiled, but secretly against the stuff toy. No one has ever seen it.

 

"Or do you want me-"

 

"I'm here!"

 

Everyone's attention except the youngest turned behind to the source of the voice. Yoona's there, standing with a beam of smile while wearing sunglasses and just in her blue jeans, sneakers and white top.

 

"Finally, you came out. Look, Our Yoonie is unknowingly not in the mood."

 

"What? Why?" Yoona instantly rushed to her maknae's side. "Why? What's wrong baby? Tell Daddy now!"
