37 | Stubborn

 

 

Hyo did not expect to see Seohyun tonight. She wasn't suppose to be in the place - since Yoona is prohibiting her to even enter the club. But how can she stop her right? If she likes to hang out in the place where she used to play some music. 

 

"What's up?" But it wasn't Seohyun only, she's with Zac and Yuri. 

 

"Hi-" 

 

"Unnie, bring us some iced tea on the roof top please." Seohyun just said, interrupting Hyoyeo right away, as they only passed the bar, heading upstairs right away.

 

"What?" Hyoyeon was left speechless. But she did not missed to noticed Yuri is holding a guitar and Zac is holding a box of pizza. Seohyun on the other hand is carrying her backpack. Probably work? But why in the club? And at this time? Something is going on that she doesn't know. Especially that she also noticed Seohyun was seemed tired. Only one girl can honestly answer her question though. So without any hesitations, she picked up her phone on the bar counter and headed to the bar's kitchen - where she can only hear the chef's noises. She dialed Yoona's number on that instant. Though it took a while, she's glad she heard Yoona's voice.

 

[Hello?] Unfortunately, it was weak. 

 

"Hey, what's up? Why is your voice so low?" Hyoyeon creased her brows confusingly.

 

[Nothing. Is Seohyun with you?]

 

"She's here with Zac and Yuri. They seemed to be working on something on the roof top." Hyoyeon did not hesitate and answer Yoona truthfully.

 

[Is she okay when she got there?]

 

"Yah, Im Yoona. What is really happening? I called because Seohyun seemed tired. She just even ignore me. And to think, she will only visit the club if she's not in the mood. Can you explain this to me?" Hyo hissed.

 

[It's a long story.]

 

"Then make it short." Groaned Hyo, resting her back against the metal door behind her.

 

[I did a mistake.]

 

"What mistake?"

 

Yoona let out a heavy and lifeless sigh on the next line. [I... Did not explain what happened. She must have misunderstood me. Can you tell her I'm fetching her?]

 

"Better yet explain right now. Otherwise, she will continue believe her own thoughts." Hyo advised. She has no idea what is happening, but for sure, it needs to be fix.

 

[I know. Um, I'm hanging up now.]

 

After the call ended, Hyo went back outside, immediately doing the iced tea Seohyun requested earlier. It took another minute for her to do it before she gradually brought the three glasses of iced tea on the roof top. When she arrived there, she heard nothing except for the strum of guitar. Yuri is doing it, while Zac and Seohyun are seems to be looking on the same paper, they're quietly discussing something on it. 

 

"Aigoo." Sighing, Hyo approached them and put the tray down to the coffee table in the middle. Yuri looked at her with a sly smile in her face. She smiled back, but her attention immediately shifted to the youngest girl of them all. Seohyun is not paying attention at her presence. "Hyun, can I have a word with you?" She tried to bring her attrntion to her, but the girl did not reply. Instead, she took the glass of iced tea and have some drinks. She sighed, defiantly and peacefully just left the roof top.

 

Upon seeing Hyo leave, Yuri immediately turned her attention to the quiet maknae of the group. "Hey, what really happened? You told me earlier you are going to see Yoona, right?"

 

Seohyun can't take it anymore. Her chest is just too heavy and needs some release at the moment. "You told me about Jessica Jung, right? She's with Yoona in Han River Park." She weakly started. It was the truth that before she arrived at the Han River Park, where she expect to see Yoona and Jessica, Yuri already told her about Jessica and the unborn child her father and her mother had. Though she wasn't happy all along about - it didn't help her when she caught Yoona on knees, and was seemed saying sorry to Jessica. She thought Jessica hurt her girlfriend which made her mad more over Jessica and at the same time, she was worried over her girlfriend. But she did not expect Yoona would be that sad, losing Jessica. She thought, she had never seen this side of her. She believes Yoona still likes that girl - and she had never love her even from the start. It hurts her inside. 

 

Zac who doesn't know hangul just stared at the two conversing.

 

"Y-Yeah, I'm sorry if I didn't tell you right away." Yuri replied, almost like in a whisper. "Um, you didn't confront her, or did you?" She got concern out of a sudden. 

 

Getting up, Seohyun took her seat next to Yuri. "How can I confront her when she's hitting Yoonggator."

 

"Omo." Yuri gasped.

 

"What's going on, guys?" Zac couldn't stay his mouth shut and needs to voiced out. 

 

Seohyun and Yuri mentally face palmed, as they looked back at the poor American guy, who can't understand. 

 

"Um, Zac, can We excuse for a while? It's a bit serious - Kindly... Please?" Seohyun politely requested, earning an immediate response from Zac. He got up and patted Seohyun's shoulders before leaving the place.

 

"Why? Why is she hitting Yoona?" Yuri quickly returned to Seohyun after Zac's departure.

 

"I haven't mentioned. Tonight is the night she's going to clear it for Jessica. I mean, to reject her. I think Jessicat is really broken, so she is hitting her. Well, it's not something I have expect. I was mad at Jessicat, but before I could even do something, Yoonggator is there to stop me. Jessicat is really lucky Yoona cares for her - otherwise - I would have hit her too." Seohyun ruffles her hair frustratingly afterwards. "Aish! But that Yoonggator obviously still likes Jessicat!!!" 

 

"Huh? How can you say so?" Yuri quizzically stared at Seohyun being paranoid over her problem.

 

"Can you imagine? She can't stop crying over her lose of Jessicat. She was obviously sad of losing that cat! She really would prefer to be with that girl! She has never done that to me! I SWEAR!!!" Seohyun whined, can't hold her feelings and shows it.

 

"Ugh, Explain it to me! I can't understand Hyun!" Yuri groaned couldn't understand a thing. 

 

Seohyun dropped her shoulders lifelessly. And right then, tears flows from her eyes. If Jessica is broken she had lose Yoona, she's also broken that Yoona still likes her. That Yoona cares for her more. She shouldn't be like this at this moment, but Yuri have opened up the topic, she can't control it. She cutely pouted, wiping her tears momentarily. Yuri sighed, pulling Seohyun closer so she can comfort her. But it only made the girl sobs in her arms. She can feel her sadness, it's really so strong. She can't help herself and blame it to herself as well, since she told her about Jessica being Secretary Jung's eldest. 'Aish. I shouldn't have told her.' 

 

After a while, Seohyun calmed down. But the sadness was still there. 

 

"Talk to her Hyun. You can't be like this until the very last day of our project. You need to clear the things to her before jumping into conclusions actually." Yuri advised, helping her cousin fixing her hair. Though she understands Seohyun and her sadness, it should be also fair for the other side. Who knows, it's just some misunderstanding? But still, she hated Yoona for hurting her cousin.

 

"No, I'm breaking up with her." Seohyun sighed, defiantly. It's against her will, but she feels like it needs to be.

 

"What?" Yuri frowned. "Why? I thought you love her. Can you-"

 

"I think it's me though. I'm still so new to this. I mean, about being in love and in a relationship. I'm so immature, can't you see it? I have never done this in my life, and I feel like so stupid. I'd never really expect I'll be like this - just because of a freaking love. I hate this. It's chaotic - it's a mess and whatsoever - just like my past. Well, besides the fact that Jessica is Secretary Jung's eldest, and apparently Yoona is her friend, do I need to stay still in this relationship? If I will continue, It won't help me. I'm sure, this will happen again." Seohyun said, holding her chest that is aching. She closes her eyes, but expressions is so bitter.

 

"You're running away - weren't you?" Yuri guessed.

 

"I'm not running away. I just don't want to be connected to Jessica. It's like I'm betraying the Seo. It's like I've accepted my father's mistake. It's like, I'm tolerating it." Seohyun defensively said.

 

"That's exactly my thoughts. I mean, you haven't really accepted your father's mistake. Hyun, you need to move on from it. I tell you, this won't stop haunting you until you accept the truth." Yuri countered.

 

"I thought you understand my feelings?" The younger girl purse her lips. "Are you betraying me also?"

 

"No! It's not like that. What I am trying to say is that... Breaking up with Yoona just because you are believing she still likes Jessica is absolutely ridiculous. And just because she is friend with Secretary Jung's eldest. I know myself I have judge her as well, but I realized it shouldn't be like that. Don't drag Yoona to this. Just ignore Jessica if you want, but do not let this be the reason for you to stop going out with Yoona. It's ridiculous also that you think even that you are immature and doesn't deserve this. Hyun, I swear, you deserve every single love from anyone. You deserve loving someone like Yoona. I think she's a good girl. It's okay to be immature but it's not okay if you are thinking stupid things already, If Yoona is the one who is hearing you this, she would laugh." Yuri smiled, as she find or amusing. "And you were saying you're new to this? Believe me, being new is a good thing. You'll get to learn a lot of things. Such that, Committing is not always being happy - you can always encounter misunderstanding, testing your patience, trust, and the most powerful, love."

 

"That's why I am ending it before it could gone worse, right?" Yet, Seohyun is still stubborn. "She doesn't deserve an immature like me. To think, I'm not even her ideal girl - why would she continue dating me if I am not her real love."

 

"Aish, I told you. Don't think like that. Talk to her first." Yuri whined, feeling like crying because of how stubborn Seohyun's mind is.

 

"She will lie to me." Seohyun mumbles, shrugging her shoulders.

 

"Aigoo, I wouldn't be surprise if Yoona will suddenly come out complaining because you are damn so stubborn. Listen first before you think like that. Didn't I tell you something like that?"

 

"Was it you?"

 

"Ugh." Yuri rolled her eyes out of annoyance. But she do understand the girl. It's hard for her to trust fully to someone she just met. Not to mention, dating. But Seohyun's face is still so sad. "You really should rest now. It's late. And let's talk again if your right mind is back already."

 

"I still think of breaking up with her." Seohyun manage to say before Yuri could cover .

 

"Do you think Yoona will like it?" Yuri nonchalantly questioned.

 

Seohyun eventually pulled Yuri's hand off of . "Of course, because she still likes her. She-"

 

"Shut up." Yuri covered right away. "You shut your mouth. Otherwise, I'm kicking you off this roof top."

 

'You should.' In Seohyun's thoughts, as she pushed Yuri's hand away again - but she did not say anything at all. Rather, she turned to the glass on the coffee table and finished her iced tea. She also started eating - like a hungry tiger.

 

'Poor Joohyun. She's indeed still new. Screw her past, she can't think really straight most of the time once her heart is hurting.' Yuri pitied her cousin, while watching her cousin.

 

Meanwhile inside the club, Yoona arrived and immediately caught Zac sitting to one of the stall in the bar. Heck, as he approached him, Zac suddenly grabs her collar and lifted her up.

 

"I told you right? If you dare hurting her, you'll get it on me!" Zac angrily stated, gaining attentions from costumers around. He did not let Yoona say a single word as he landed a good punch on her stomach - Yoona however quickly revenged, causing for her to fall back. People are now screaming. 

 

"You don't know what is happening! You don't have the right to do that to me!" Yoona roared, advancing to Zac. She had enough distance from giving him a straight jab. Zac loses her balance and falls back groaning. This give Yoona and open opportunity as she quickly runs upstairs. Heading to the roof top right away. When she arrives there, Seohyun and Yuri are about to leave as well. She composes herself and calm herself, before approaching them. Yuri gives Yoona a pat on the shoulder before she decided to go first.

 

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you go to Jessica? She's broken. You should comfort her." Seohyun flatly greeted Yoona. She even busy arranging the sheets on her backpack that she didn't mind looking at her. "I'm okay. You don't need to be here."

 

"I'm suppose not be here But I want to assure you get home safely - So I'm here. And like to explain what happened." Yoona sighed, taking Seohyun's backpack for her. She force a smile but she was still obvious with her sadness tonight. It's not easy to hurt someone like that. Especially that she treats her really a good friend.

 

"Okay." Seohyun just said audibly. Her thoughts about breaking up the girl seemed to disappear, now that Yoona is in front of her - lifeless. She just casually walks away. Yoona followed her right that instant.

 

Yuri and Zac were on the bar, talking immensely when Yoona and Seohyun came out - obviously that they're not okay. Both girls seemed having their own thoughts. They just even passed at them as they leave the place.

 

"What about my car?" Seohyun asked, without facing the doe-eyed, as soon as they got inside the car.

 

"I'll tel Hyo to keep it. Don't worry." Yoona said, as she turned to her girlfriend. "Um, Kindly look at me." Yet, she has to explain first before starting their journey. 

 

Seohyun reluctantly turned her head, facing the doe-eyed with her soft gazes. Yuri's comforting words somehow affects her. It helps her to be calm now - rather than what she had expect. 

 

"You must have misunderstood what happened."

 

"In what part?" Seohyun instantly replied.

 

"When you arrived in the park. Um, Boss... I was on knees because I was saying sorry."

 

"I know."

 

"I was crying because I'm sad that I've hurt her."

 

"I know."

 

"Then why did you left?"
