22 | Danger

Yoona's eyes fluttered open in an early morning, along with a sigh. She slowly moved her right hand, lifting it up momentarily, so she can see that IV injected in her right hand. The happenings from last night is still so fresh in her mind. She was rush to the hospital by her wife and daughter with their obvious concerned look.

 

Her heart is heavy - knowing that she is worrying them. The least she wanted to see. But a look of determination can be found in her face, as she thought of getting better in a few days. It's just a simple dengue fever, she knew she will get better pretty soon, if she will take all the doctor's medicine and advises.

 

Putting her hand down, she tilts her head to the right, where she can see her wife is cuddling with their daughter on the couch. The sight just made her heart flutters. Both are snoring smoothly, indicating how they have been stress over her condition. It's too lovable and adorable. The two girls in her life is just as adorable as the twins? She certainly just realizes it. 

 

"Wait, did I woke up early?" says her in a low voice, as she slowly turned her head straight to the wall clock, across her hospital bed. A sigh of relief escapes her lips when she just discovered it's already 8am. It's not as early as she thought. Otherwise, she must have sleep a little only?

 

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. A soft knock she must say. However, she doesn't need to as ask who when she heard the voice of Narsha.

 

"Yoong? It's Narsha."

 

"And Paul."

 

"And Daniel."

 

Just then, the door was pushed open gently, a little. Yet, it automatically went wide as soon as the twins walks in - no rushes to her bed right away. Both climbs in both sides of the bed.

 

"Daddy are you okay now?"

 

"Where is the pain Daddy?"

 

"Do you need anything to eat? Daniel will get it for you."

 

"Daddy needs water? I'll get it for you." Paul also added.

 

Yoona is speechless - smiling back to the sweet twins. It's fluttering that these two are as worried as her two girls. She can only open her arms and welcome them into her embrace.

 

"Please get better soon." The twins said at the same time, hugging their Daddy affectionately.

 

"They're worried sick when they discovered you've been rushed last night here." Narsha explained in behalf of the twins.

 

"I can truly feel it." Says Yoona softly, kissing the twins' forehead in the process.

 

"Aigoo, so you guys are here." Seohyun woke up mumbling, and letting out a yawn. She caught the others are on the bed, that's why spoke.

 

Yoona and the rest have turn their heads to source of the voice.

 

"Omma!" The twins greeted with smiles in their faces. But still not letting go of their Daddy.

 

"Is Yoonie already awake?" Asks Yoona on the other hand.

 

Seohyun looked down to her daughter. "No. I think she's not yet." 

 

"I got Yoonie's milk here, Hyun." Said Narsha, as she placed the backpack to another couch in the ward.

 

"Thanks Unnie." Seohyun replied, gratefully. "How are you feeling now, Yoong?" But quickly asked her wife's condition. She slowly sat up, careful not to wake her daughter up.

 

"I'm feeling okay so far, wifey."

 

Stepping out of the couch, Seohyun placed the pillow next to her daughter before she turned to face her face. "That's good. Let's have breakfast later. But for now, lets wait for the doctor to come. And twins, get out of the bed. You're going to squeeze your Daddy." She requested her twins to come down momentarily.

 

"No. We will not leave Daddy here." Daniel whines, tightening his hold around his Daddy's waist.

 

"Me too, Omma." Paul also can't left the bed.

 

"It's okay wifey. They're not hurting me in any ways." Yoon reassuringly smiles while brushing the twins' hair.

 

"I think we should prepare the breakfast first, Hyun. The twins hasn't eaten yet." Narsha voiced out, while she's sitting on the couch. She casually also takes out the lunch boxes she brought with her. Since she knows, the family won't be going home until Yoona recovers.

 

"They haven't?"

 

"They went straight here." Narsha stated truthfully.

 

"Will I have the same breakfast?" Yoona asks, wondering.

 

"No. The hospital will provide it for you Yoong." Seohyun informed, as she casually approached the bed, and gestures her twins to come out of the bed, no matter what. Reluctant, the twins let go of their Daddy and carefully climbed down the bed. They immediately transferred to the couch, where Narsha is setting the coffee table with their breakfast.

 

"Tsk,tsk. Is this going to be our home for the next few days?"

 

"If you're not going to get better - we would surely be spending more days." Seohyun chuckles amusingly at her wife's question. She reached for Yoona's forehead to check on her temperate and sigh when it's not too hot anymore, like the last time. She also checks for her IV, if it wasn't move or anything. It was a relief and the twins didn't touched on it. But she pouted sadly, as she looks back to her wife.

 

"Wae? Something is wrong wifey?" Yoona curiously asked. Though it worries her. 

 

"You... look so pale still."

 

"Of course, Omma. Daddy is sick." Daniel corrected his mother, earning the latter's brief glare. He stuck his tongue out playfully and shrugs.

 

"Just eat there!" Seohyun didn't miss and commanded her kindwolf.

 

"Yeah, your son is right. Don't be sad." Yoona reached for Seohyun's hand using her left, since her right is being wrap. She gives the younger woma's hand a squeeze to reassure her.

 

Taking her seat on a chair, Seohyun never left her wife's hand, she's holding her back, rather. "Anyway, I'm glad to see you waking up bright. Last night was a hell. I couldn't almost describe how much fear I had inside. But as the nurse, I have to calm. Otherwise, nothing will happen."

 

"What about our maknae? She was so scared, crying a lot." Yoona glance over their maknae, who was still so deep in her slumber. "I think I'm more than scared for her, because she doesn't want to stop crying. Not until you give her milk and reassured her."

 

Seohyun can't help it also and turned her head. "Aigoo, she really loves you so much."

 

"By the way, Doctor Oh? Is he going to be my doctor until I get discharge?"

 

"Yeah. And as much as I want to be your personal nurse, I don't think I will be allowed. I'm your guardian here." Seohyun said as she looked back to her wife.

 

"So a new nurse?" Yoona grinned, thinking of getting her wife jealous.

 

"Yah! I know that kind of expressions. I trust all the nurses here - except you." Seohyun chuckled with her own joke, earning a sad and playful pout from the other woman.

 

"Omma, let's eat?" Paul butted to the conversation of his parents. In which, it caught their attention. However, it got more Yoohyun's attention - as she can be seen opening her eyes slowly but surely.

 

"Morning, Yoonie~" The twins and Narsha both greeted, smiling so sweetly to the young girl.

 

"Omma~ Daddy-ah~" Yoohyun called out loud enough for her parents.

 

Seohyun automatically rose form her seat and casually approached the couch, lowering herself to picked up the younger girl in her arms.

 

"Hungry." Yoohyun mutters softly, as soon as she saw her brothers are eating their favorite breakfast meal.

 

"Chincha? Let's greet Daddy first." Seohyun casually went back to her wife's bed. She let her maknae kiss the latter on the forehead.

 

"Morning, Daddy." Yoohyun especially greeted sweetly.

 

"Morning, Yoonie. Eat your breakfast now. Daddy will follow." Yoona told her daughter, smiling back the same way as her.

 

"Hmm?" Yoohyun looked at her Omma with a puzzled look.

 

"Likewise, Daddy is not going to eat with us. Because she's sick. And... the hospital has the right to take care of her." Seohyun explained, earning a nodded from the little girl. She just casually returned to the couch, and put her daughter next to her.

 

Just then, the door opens. Doctor Oh and a nurse came inside, flashing their smiles to Seohyun right away then to her wife.

 

"Good morning, Doctor Oh. I-I... I'm sorry. My family has to stay here." Yoona said with a little shy smile.

 

"No problem. They're your guardian after all." Sehun replied, approaching Yoona on the bed. "Shall we check on you now?"

 

"S-Sure." Yoona gladly smiled. With that, Sehun signal's Yoona to leaned out from the head board, as he took out his stethoscope. He put the stethoscope's chest piece against the latter's back and signal her to breath in and out, as he reads him.

 

Seohyun behind is watching over while Doctor Oh is checking on her wife. At the same time, she would also feed her maknae with the latter's small spoon. The twins are so curious and quickly rushed to the bed after they have eaten their breakfast. The room is silent, as Sehun continue to checks on Yoona.

Yul's eyes a bit widened he finds himself staring towards his wife, carrying loads of plastic bag. Not just his eyes widened, his lips parted slowly, speechless as to why his wife went back to the car with lots of it? 

 

"It's Yoong in the hospital." Jessica explained herself.

 

Clearing his throat, Yul pointed to the plastic bag. "What's inside? It's indeed Yoong in the hospital, but why I feel like you're going to store food or something there? Or..."

 

"And you know Yoonie is there." Jessica added, flashing a meaningful smile to her husband.

 

"Yoonie? Really? This is for her?"

 

"That kid will surely block us again from seeing her Daddy. I need to get her attention with these candies, toys and chocolates. Otherwise, we can't see Yoona again." Jessica explained more further.

 

"O-Okay. I get it now. You're thinking ahead." Yul snickers, as he decided to turn on the engine. He looked at his wife first, and asked, "Are you sure? That's like... all unhealthy. I mean the candies and chocolates."

 

"It's okay. Just once, she can eat, right? I know Seohyun can't resist her daughter and let her eat this. You do want to see Yoong, or not?"

 

"Of course. I'd like to. Aish, fine. Do whatever you want." Shrugging, Yul finally drives off carefully.

 

"I have some for the twins as well."

 

"That's good. Coz I'm pretty sure, they'll be envy it's only Yoonie you're giving attention."

 

Jessica giggles. "I honestly want for Yoonie only. She's the least who doesn't like us yet. The twins already like me."

 

"Ugh, whatever. I hope that will be a success. I don't want to go back to work without seeing my sister."

 

"Oh, speaking of your sister. What's the status? Seohyun called you earlier, didn't she?"

 

Yul briefly glance to his wife and answers, "She's doing fine so far. But to make sure, they'll stay for two more days. And to also have some test."

 

"I see." Jessica bobs her head up and down in understanding. "Poor Yoona. She's too stress of the company. Probably the reason why she got sick."

 

"Most definitely. But I'm afraid her absence in the company will be an advantage for some boards to do something naughty. I hope not." Yul sighed, stressfully. With the revelation of Mr. Im's fake death, he can no longer just relax. The danger is just around them. Stay alert is really a must at the moment.

 

"Nah, let's not talk about that. What matters most here is Yoong's health. We can't see her more sick." Jessica reminded her husband. But as she looked at the stuffs inside the plastic bags, she giggles, imagining Yoohyun accepting the temptation of it and they can finally walked into the room of her Daddy.

 

"Aish, here she is again." Yul rolled his eyes, realizing her wife is checking the stuffs, and probably imagining stuffs.

 

"She's just too cute. Apart from her mother being y, she's also my goal daughter." Jessica confessed, making Yul looked at her with a surprised look.

 

"Do you mean, you want to have a daughter?"

 

"Isn't that cute?"

 

"I want a son. Just like the twins."
