Upon pulling over the car in her new hospital's car park, Seohyun heard her phone beeps inside her bag. She unbuckled her seat belt and take it out of her bag, checking the message momentarily.

 

Manager Son:

[Good evening Mrs. Seo.

Mrs. Im will call you back around 12mn.

She's apparently busy - signing papers.

And later, she will hear each team leader's presentation.

"And earlier before dinner she said Yoona can't be disturb. Then before 9 strikes, she said my wife will have a break around 10pm. Now what time is it now? Aish." Seohyun can't help it and feel annoyed every time she can read a message from Manager Son, informing her wife's confusing work. She couldn't figure why but it's true she's starting to get annoy.

 

Grabbing her bag, she decided to brush off Manager Son's message and stepped out of the car. She checks on herself through the side mirror first, then took a deep breath before she headed to the hospital, all smiling once again. But just as she was able to pass the information desk, she stopped and went back - to ask about the new Doctor she's going to work with.

 

"Nurse Seo, good evening. You're going to work with Doctor Oh." And it seems the nurse on the information desk already knew her. "Here's your key for your locker."

 

"Doctor Oh? That sounds... Is he new? Or is she new?" Yet, it's weird for her to have heard the surname. She took the key in the process.

 

"He's indeed new, Nurse Seo. His office is in the 4th floor, you can ask them there for further instructions." 

 

Seohyun flashed her infamous smile. "Thank You." and bowed a little. The other girl also bowed back before she proceed to the lift. As usual, patients, doctors and nurses can be seen around. But since it's already night time, there are few of them only in the hallway. 

 

She once again breath in and out after pressing the 4 button on the elevator and it started to move up. Behind her are two girls nurses, seems like already know her too. She smiled at them and bowed for a respect.

 

"I'm a fan Mrs. Seo." The taller one says, smiling so friendly.

 

"Thank You." Seohyun replied with the same smile.

 

"It's an honor we'll work with you here." The other girl also voice out. "I'm Bae Joohyun. 25. But you can call me Irene." couldn't hold it and introduce herself.

 

"Nice to meet you, Joohyun. We have the same name." Seohyun chuckled softly, accepting the hand of the other girl.

 

"Whoa, Chincha? But-"

 

"My nickname is Seohyun, but my full name is Seo Joohyun. Well, that's Im-Seo Joohyun now." Seohyun proudly says.

 

"I'm Park Chorong. 25 as well." The slightly smaller girl says, extending her hand as well.

Seohyun did not hesitate and also shake her hand with the girl. "Nice to meet you too Miss Park. I feel so old. You girls are so young for me." She blushed, knowing that she's going to work with younger girls.

 

"It's okay Mrs. Seo. You're still so young in our eyes." The girl named Irene truthfully answered.

 

"You're our inspiration to have a young and beautiful face in our work." Chorong also added with a big smile.

 

"Oh, T-Thank You." Seohyun got shy, and awkwardly smile to the two girls. "You girls are a little straight forward."

 

"So I hope we can hang out with you during break time."

 

"Sure. Why not? However, my shift is straight until 6am." Seohyun also couldn't lie about her schedule. She takes the night shift so she can have time for the kids in the daylight and can cook for their breakfast once she is off from her work. 

 

"Chincha? That's... sad." Chorong pouted, disappointingly.

 

"Why? What's your shift girls?" 

 

Irene and Chorong made a brief eye-contact before it's Chorong who answered again.

 

"We will have our shift here until 2am only. So we really can't have time to work together."

 

"That's okay." Seohyun smiled. "We'll see each other around in this hospital, after all."

 

"Hehe, Yeah Mrs. Seo."

 

*ding*

 

Seohyun immediately looked up to the floor number, "This is my floor already. I'll see you guys around." she waved a little, walking out of the lift in the process. Irene and Chorong waved back as the lift once again moves up.

 

Seohyun on the other hand have proceed to look for the office the nurse told her. And shortly, she arrived in front of Doctor Oh's door. She knocks on it twice. But much to her surprised, there were no response yet - until a minute later.

 

"Come in."

 

She took another deep breath and exhaled, walking into the office casually. She saw the doctor, in the corner, looks like busy with a paper on his hand. "Ahem." she cleared to catch his attention. Once the latter looked at her, she felt familiarity over him. "Doctor Oh?" Why I feel like I've seen him? In her mind, as she raised her brows towards him.

 

"Nurse Seo, take your seat please." Sehun flashed a charming smile, as he gestures the nurse to take her seat on the chair across his desk. "Let's discuss about your transfer." He said, though inside, he's already screaming in joy. Or more like, he is screaming for Kris to come over already in his office. He told him earlier to come to his office because of an important thing.

 

"I'm sorry but... Have I meet you before?" Seohyun felt so strange so she didn't think twice and asked, taking her seat in the process.

 

"I knew you would ask that. Do you remember Kris? He's my friend. We've meet in the road - when your car have stopped? I was there." Sehun informed with a sheepish smile.

 

"Oh, I knew it. So it was you. You're a doctor too. Well, obviously, you are his friend." Seohyun smiled back, but quite awkward.

 

"Yeah, and it's greet to see you back. And an honor to work with you." Sehun extended his hand for a shake hand. "Doctor Oh Sehun by the way." To formally introduce himself.

 

"Nurse Seo Joohyun." Seohyun gladly held the young Doctor's hand. "I think it's more than honor for me." She retorted.

 

"Okay." Sehun let out a soft chuckle. He retracted his hand and gestures Seohyun to give her performance records in the other hospital.

 

Seohyun casually opened her shoulder bag and take out her documents, handing it to the doctor.

 

"Hmm, so you've work various of Doctors there." Said Sehun, looking into the paper. It's impressive that most of the Doctors she had work gave her good feed backs

 

"Yeah, but mostly on Surgeons." Seohyun truthfully shared. "It's my passion honestly to help the doctors in operating, it's like I'm also operating with them." She smiled inwardly.

 

Sehun looked up to meet Seohyun's gazes. "I'm also a surgeon. No wonder they transfer you to me. Um, but... Do you mind sharing me why this kind of shift? Because most nurses would rather have the day shift." 

 

"I've ask to be on the night shift so I can able to have time for my family. I think it's not new for you about my family background." Seohyun truthfully answered.

 

"Yeah. I understand the situation." Sehun murmured, going back to the paper. "Well, I have nothing else to ask. I bet you already know everything here. I'll be looking forward to work with you... right now." he sheepishly added two words, earning a smile from the latter.

 

Just then, the door opens.

 

"Bro - what... do you... " Kris walked in, but came into a halt when he realized there's a nurse sitting on the chair. And much to his surprised, it's Seohyun, who turned her head when he walked in. "S-Seohyun? Seo Joohyun-ssi?" he gasped, literally.

 

"Doctor Wu?" Seohyun have to also do the same - never thought the young doctor is also in the same hospital. "He also works here?" She turned to Sehun, questioning it.

 

"Y-Yes. We are both working here until 6am." Sehun replied, awkwardly smiling.

 

"Whoa, hold on. I didn't get this." Kris approached his friend, to have a close distance. "Seohyun-ssi. She's also working here? Or what? I seriously have no idea with this." He questioned his friend as well. 

 

"Bro, I have no idea it's her too. The staff only told me just today about my assistant nurse. I was about to tell you earlier, but you got busy with patients." Sehun lied, eyeing Seohyun then his friend, who is still shock.

 

"Aigoo, I never thought this is really happening." Kris smiled, as he slowly accepted the fact now. He looked at his crush with a charming smile. "It's great to see you working here as well, Nurse Seo." 

 

Seohyun smiled back, but with hesitations. "Y-Yeah, me too. This is quiet surprising, actually." she audibly sighed. She slowly looked away from him. 

 

"Well, let's just work professionally. Shall we? Hehe." Sehun butted, earning the gazes from the two. "I-I mean... It's great to work with you, Nurse Seo." He rephrase it, but he failed miserably. Both were speechless, staring at him.

 

"Aigoo, awkward. But anyway, why did you call me out here, Bro? Is there something you want to discuss with?" 

 

"Um... I think I should go out. I need to put my stuffs in my locker first. I'll see you later, Doctor Oh." Seohyun got up and bowed. "I'll see you around as well, Doctor Wu." giving light bow to Kris as well. She smiled a little and walked out the room casually.

 

Once the door closes, Kris quickly grabbed his friend over his collar. "You set this up, Didn't you?! You called me out here so I will know you will be working with Seohyun-ssi." He sternly stated.

 

Sehun grinned so wide. "Hehe, Sorry Bro. I just have to tease you. But isn't that awesome? You'll get to see her during her night shift."

 

"Aish!" Frustratingly, Kris pushed his friend back to his seat and take his seat, still looking sternly at his friend. "You are like teasing me or just want me to feel jealous? Because you and her will get to spend time together in your work? Eh? Aish!"

 

"Calm down okay. Like I've tell you, you will get to see her - or you will even get the chance to know her. Honestly, it's just such a weird fate. You guys keep on meeting each other. Do you think this is something we should talk about?"

 

"So you really just know?"

 

"I swear, Bro. I have never thought this would come." Sehun raised his hand briefly. 

 

"Well, this is indeed like... weird fate. Why are we keep on meeting? Aigoo, I hope she'll be friendly for me though. Coz I feel like she is thinking I'm weird."

 

"You guys really should formally introduce each other. So everything that happened in the past few weeks will be over. You know, show the real you, Bro. Not the stalker. Hehe." Sehun teasingly says, earning a quick glare from his friend. He chuckled, softly. "I was just kidding."

 

"But you are correct. I should erase whatever I've done the last time. Okay, Fine. I'll start it over. I'll go ahead." Kris got up and give his friend a 'I am watching', gesture towards him, before leaving the office.

 

Sehun was left in his office with a satisfied smile. He returned his attention to Seohyun's performance and still really impressed. 

 

Meanwhile, in her locker, Seohyun rested her back against the door of her with a sigh of relief. She looked up to the ceiling and mumbles, "Why this is happening - he's here? And I'm going to see him around. I hope this will be okay. Alright, you've work a lot of Doctors already, Hyun -- so be professional. Be friendly like the way you are. Forget what you've judge on him and start it over -- for your comfortable stay in this hospital. Yes, for your passion. You are here to help people and not to mind some weird guy back then. Yeah? Yeah... let's work, Nurse Seo." She exhaled and left the locker room. Just when she walks out, her name was being called - asking for her to go to a certain room. And she already know why - she hurriedly complied.

"You've heard Nurse Seo? That means... you have to take more rest because your blood pressure hasn't went back to it's normal rate. Refrain from getting up your bed... at least for the next 4 days. Araso?" Sehun said, telling his patient after checking his current blood pressure. "And to think, your wound, it's not really healing yet. It's still so fresh. Your last Doctor told me it was 3 days ago you have this operation. An operation takes more than 2 months before we can call it's already healed"

 

"Yes, Doctor Oh." The middle age man, his patient replied, a bit low.

 

Seohyun had a genuine smile in her face after the patient replied. She can't help and feel warmth by Sehun's aura, talking to his patient. He's as if, different from Kris' character. 'Not bad'. In her thoughts, taking her gazes back to the records. She has the records of every patients the Doctor is being assigned.

 

"I'll check on you tomorrow again, Okay?"

 

"Thank You, Doctor Oh."

 

"My pleasure." With that, Sehun gently pat his patient's forehead as he got up and headed to the door. Seohyun followed suit, carrying a tray.

 

"The next room is in room 205. 2nd floor." Seohyun softly says.
