22 | A Game 

 

 

A couple of glances over her wrist watch, Yuri gives up. She finished her coffee in one go before raising her hand and call out the waiter's attention. The same waiter wearing his apron approached her and give her bill. She took her purse and give her bill casually. As the waiter left, she also get on her feet. Consequently, picking up her guitar and her backpack. However, she sighed disappointingly, upon seeing that Jessica Jung, just finally arriving. Instead of going out, she tok her seat back and open her backpack, bringing out that paper bag, containing the souvenir from the resort for the latter.

 

She waited for a while until the girl stood in front of her.

 

"You're not going to take your seat?" She chuckles, amusingly. She find it funny how her eyes is so straight towards her. 

 

Jessica could only take her seat and fake a smile. "Happy?" She rolled her eyes, annoyed. She doesn't really like this girl. But since she told her she will give her a gift from the resort, she decided to just give it a try. Heck, she can't still help it and get annoy with just staring into Yuri's smug face. "Now where? Where's my gift?"

 

"Here." Jessica accepted the paper bag, but Yuri snatched it back.

 

"Don't you want to stay for quiet longer? I thought you're in a break?" Yuri grinned. "I'm on a break as well." her eyebrows wiggles consequently. "Do you want to hang out first?"

 

"Hehe. Your idea is good. However, I have no time for you and your play." Jessica awkwardly smile. Yet, she snatched the paper bag back. "I'm only here for this." she got up and was about to leave when Yuri pulled her back to her seat. "Yah! I said--"

 

"Do you want to go out then?" Yuri changed her mind that instant. Before Jessica could even react, she pulled her back and drag her out the coffee shop.

 

"Where are you taking me? Let go!" Jessica tried to let go but Yuri is persistent. She almost even trip, Yuri didn't give damn. Until they reached her car, she was force to step inside.

 

"I swear! If you are not -- Ugh." Jessica rolled her eyes, as soon as the tan girl buckle the seat belt on her.

 

"It's just a day out. Then after this, we'll go separate ways. Hmm? Good." Yuri charmingly smiled, only to be ignored by the girl. "I like that. You hate me first then you will like me." she added, did not even care. She then drives off, smiling like an idiot.

 

"You. If I am not mistaken, I only agreed to meet you because of the gift. And now, you are taking me somewhere. You know what is this?"

 

"Kidnapping?"

 

Jessica chuckled. "So you actually know? Now can you stop the car? I have no time for people like You!" she shouted angrily at the end.

 

Yuri simply snickers. "I am not kidnapping you. Rather, you have to thank me because I am treating you somewhere. I am giving you free service to relieve your stress from work."

 

Jessica scoffs, couldn't talk back somehow. She huffed and crosses her arms frustratingly. Yuri's smile did not disappear. She liked it when a girl hated her first. Just like her rule, annoy a girl in getting her attention.

 

Meanwhile, at Jeonju High School, at the football field, Luhan is doing good for their team. He just made a score for their team -- which is making all the supporters go active. After that goal, the cheers are so loud now for their team. That includes his sister and his crush - Seohyun. Though she's far from him, he knows the girl's hair had change. It is making him play hard. Sulli, she's not an exception. Every time her voice would echo, he would go faster and faster. The support from fans, sister, crush and Sulli is absolutely making him so good in the game.

 

Yoona and Seohyun were indeed supportive. Their dry and aching throat are evidence how much they scream for Luhan and their team. 

 

"Whoa. He's really good at it. I thought He won't be." says Yoona, handing Seohyun a bottle of water. 

 

"You sounded like you're not her sister." Seohyun replied in a low voice, as she take a drink of the water. really needs water now. 

 

"Yah! Don't finish it all. I'm still thirsty." Yoona reminded, as she watches her boss. As soon as the latter had handed it, she hissed lowly. Seohyun only left few for her. But instead of complaining, she decided to finished it all in one go.

 

"Here. This will help." Seohyun handed the untouchable cola on the side. "WHOA! GOOOAAAALLL!!!" and suddenly shouted when Luhan got another goal. Yoona almost jump in surprised at her reaction. She turned to the field and saw Luhan celebrating with the other team. The crowd also is cheering up again and again. 

 

"Just how many minutes left?" 

 

"Fifteen minutes." says Seohyun, as she looked at the time remaining in the big screen.

 

"Fifteen? And they have 2 scores still?" Yoona frowned, almost spitting on her drink.

 

"What the heck. Isn't that awesome? The other team has no score yet. Don't you know about football?" Seohyun couldn't believe Yoona sounds like she doesn't know about the game.

 

"Of course I know. What I mean is... they should kick more goals. It would be better if more than two right?" Yoona cheekily explained herself, earning a shaking of head from Seohyun. The girl is not convinced. She giggles and followed her gazes, back to the field.

 

When suddenly the other team gained one score, Yoona and Seohyun are both quiet and agape. The supporters for Jeonju are also quiet. 

 

"GOAAAAALLLL!!!" 

 

"HELL YEAH!!!" 

 

"GO! GO GO! JEONJU! KICK THEIR BUTTS!!!"

 

At least for a good 5 minutes only.

 

Both girls eventually stand on their feet and humps the moment the captain of the Jeonju team strikes a score. For the last 10 minutes, Luhan once again make a score. And the Jeonju crowd, and cheer leaders scream again and again. Yoona and Seohyun especially dances when a loud music erupted the entire stadium. Most of the students and some supporters from outside the school has started to noise for an obvious win already.

 

No one from their seats couldn't get excited anymore as the final minutes approaches. All of them are quiet, as they brace themselves. The moment Luhan passed the ball to his teammate after stealing it, everyone stands on their feet. Yoona and Seohyun especially clasped their hands together. As they both fixed their eyes to the ball being played by the team Jeonju.

 

When the ball was passed to Luhan, the boy was fast from kicking it to goal box. The ball successfully reach the net -- everyone in the audience celebrated on top of their lungs. Yoona and Seohyun are not an exemptions. Both girls just couldn't stop from dancing and screaming Luhan's name anymore. As if its Finals already, both are so proud and happy.

 

Yoona especially hug Seohyun out of happiness. Surprised, Seohyun also hug her back. Taking the advantage to feel Yoona's warmth. The doe-eyed is just emotionally happy for her brother. Hence, it's the first time she had seen her brother plays like that. A few seconds later, she let go and chuckled while showing her tears of joy. Seohyun copies her while wiping Yoona's tears. Both ends up laughing at their antics.

 

"This is so childish." Yoona commented, laughing with Seohyun.

Though there's still going to be work later, Yoona and Seohyun both decided to greet Luhan before going back to the office. As they wait patiently outside the locker, students are passing through where they're standing. Some would bow, some will just ignore.

 

"It was only the first game for the series, but it feels like Finals already." Seohyun couldn't hold herself and comment, giggling in the process.

 

"Yeah, look at the students' faces. Well, it's a good start for the team. This will boost their confidence." Yoona agreed, smiling inwardly.

 

"Will Luhan gets the best player?"

 

"MVP, you are talking about it?" Yoona snickers, earning a light punch from the younger on her arm. She grabs her by her shoulder and pulled her closer. "Best Player or MVP, that's just the same." she giggles, pinching her boss' cheeks.

 

Seohyun just blushed and wrap her both arms around the girl's waist. She tightened her hold when Yoona suddenly jerked from her.

 

"Y-Yah... You're taking advantage of my kindness again."

 

"You said I will stick, right? So here am I." Seohyun stated fact. She rested her head on top of Yoona's shoulders, she felt her stiffening. She let out a cute giggle before deciding to close her eyes while she comfortably rested her head.

 

Students are absolutely bothered with the Display of Affection in the hallway. 

 

"Boss... Some students are staring." Yoona hesitantly voiced out, as her cheeks are flushing. She wanted to push the girl away but it got tighten. She sighed, defeated.

 

Sooner or later, only few students are passing the hallway.

 

She finally can breath in relief. Unconsciously, she patted Seohyun's head quietly.She must admit, she's really relaxing in her embrace as well. And with that, she let her. She herself needs some rest after that an hour of screaming. So she melted with her. She runs her hair on her new black hair. Couldn't help it, she inhaled her shampoo scent, causing for her heart to flutter. But sooner or later, Seohyun let go with a satisfied smile in her beautiful features. "Thanks Yoonggator, that was the best." she caresses the doe-eyed's smooth skin cheeks briefly.

 

"Can I gain a point with that?" Yoona suggestively says, as she thought she had given her boss a rest?

 

"That doesn't count."

 

"Aigoo, 13:13. That's my decision." The doe firmly stated.

 

Seohyun chuckles. "You are so desperate no?"

 

"Hehe, For all I know, you love my hug." Yoona teased, sticking her tongue in the process.

 

Seohyun snobs dramatically. Yoona was about to touch on her shoulders and somehow attempted to massage her, when She can see Luhan with Sulli approaching them already. She retracted her hand and compose herself. She smiled to them consequently. Whilst, Seohyun just smirk, as she couldn't help it and notice the two youngsters' closeness.

 

"Noona!!!" Yet, as soon as Luhan caught the sight of his sister, he rushes immediately to her and throw her arms around her neck. Yoona almost loses her balance. But gladly patted the boy's back.

 

"Congrats!!! I'm so proud of you, Dongseng!" she says consequently.

 

Seohyun on the ohter hand greeted Sulli with a bear hug. They both quietly smiled, as they watch the siblings.

 

"Whoa!!! I really didn't expect you would be here." Luhan exclaimed as soon as he leaned out. Happy to see his sister for the first time in his game. "And you really brought Seohyun Noona here, too." Added him, flashing a charming smile to the older one. "I'm glad you're here, Noona. You look so good. I love the black hair." He praised afterwards.

 

"Everyone loves this." Seohyun flipped her hair proudly, giggling quietly afterwards.

 

"Yah! Since you requested it - I called her. You're so lucky and she's available." Yoona lied that instant. For her brother's happiness, she would glad to. "You have to thank me for this."

 

Luhan pulled Yoona for brief tight hug again. "Thank You, Sooo much!!!"

 

"Aigoo, Aigoo...  This kiddo." The doe-eyed ruffles her brother's hair, earning his chuckle.

 

"Unnie, so are you guys going with us too?" Sulli butted, couldn't slip the opportunity and invite the two older girls.

 

"Wae? Where are you guys going?" ask Seohyun, which earned Yoona and Luhan's attention right away.

 

"Um, Since the team won, I wanted to treat you guys for supper. Is that okay?" Sulli hesitantly says. Knowing the two girls just used their free time from work, she's worried if they will decline it.

 

"Wow. That's so cool, Sulli. I'd like that." Luhan quickly stood next to his best friend. "And it would be awesome if Noona, and Seohyun Noona, you guys will join us. It's gonna be fun, celebrating for the first time with you guys."

 

Seohyun and Yoona exchange gazes. As if they know their minds, they look back to the both youngsters.

 

"According to my feels... I think... Seohyun will be available. No, Us." Yoona says otherwise. Seohyun frowned, looking back to her. She smiled meaningfully at her, but the girl glared instead. "Yeah, why not let's enjoy this supper, eh?" She added, earning her boss' rolling of eyes. But she ignores it.

 

"Chincha?! Yay!" Sulli and Luhan exclaimed at the same time, happily.

 

"Ugh, whatever." Seohyun mumbles, turning her heels behind, and walks away instantly.

 

"We'll just wait outside. Okay? Congrats again, Bro!" Yoona just practically catches up with her boss. 

 

Luhan on the other hand entered the locker room, whilst Sulli happily skips on the way to the cheer leader's locker room.

 

 

 

 

[SSA Headquarters]

 

 

Sitting back on her leather chair, A brown haired girl, wearing an apparent exhausted face, can't believe what happened to her. Not to mention, why is she holding the guitar key chain in her hand. And yes, she's staring at it, like it will answer her questions 'why'. Why she decided to have her free time with a girl who is out of her league?

 

Flashback...

 

"Okay, so you're not really going to bring me back to my car?" The moment they arrived in front of a fish pond, Jessica immediately has to go back. She remembers, her car is in the coffee shop still.

 

Yuri opened her hand instead. She did not take it and attempted to walk away. Yet, Yuri got her hand, dragging her gently to the stairs that will take them more closer to the water. She huffed, couldn't complain somehow. Yuri leads her to that bench just so near to the fish pond. She looked at the tan girl, feeling so strange why she's taking her in the place. 

 

"You. Don't stare at me like that. I just want you to relax. Isn't this place relaxing? We're surrounded by trees, a fish pond with big different fishes -- Oh, flowers are in every corner of this place. The sky is blue, and the clouds are really like they're teasing us. There's a heart shape of clouds out there." Yuri chuckles, once she realized a heart shape of clouds in the sky. But just like she had expect, she only heard Jessica exhaling. Meaning, she doesn't really like it. "Then just stare at the fish there. I want you to relax, that's only my mission. While me, I'll just strum my guitar. I'm in the mood to make some songs today before my class later." Without a doubt, she put her guitar on her lap and open its case. She brings it out and right then, she's starting to make a song.

 

Jessica is indeed not caring. She got up and approach the fish pond much closer. She leaned in, to see her reflection, she can only see her big eye bugs around her eyes. She let out a sigh, recalling her over night work last night. Because of the visit in the Kwon's Ranch Resort, she barely could sleep. She had an unfinish work the moment she got back, which is definitely bad for her health. However, she couldn't do anything. She has to finish it all. Otherwise, she's dead by the higher superior in the Agency.

 

"You can also feed the fish, Sica. You can buy it nearby." Yuri suddenly says when she realized the girl is just staring to the water.

 

Looking behind, Jessica raised her brows. Yuri pointed to her left - she followed her finger and saw a small store indeed. The place is a park also, so there's no reason she can't see anyone besides them. She stands on her feet and approached the store. Like Yuri told her, she bought a fish food and got back, feeding them. As time passes, she's really enjoying it. Especially every time she would throw the food to the other side - the fish will follow it. It made her relieved her stress indeed. Because apparently, all that she could think is to see the fish - that would make her smile happily. It took 15 minutes before she finally realized, her palms is now empty. However, she was satisfied. She was no longer feeling so stress over her work. And most especially, her face had really brightened up. Getting up, she turned to see the tan girl, already staring at her.

 

"I told you. It's really relaxing here. This is one of the places I go every time I want to have a peace of mind. You know, to have another song." Yuri charmingly smiled, earning Jessica's smile, finally. Though it was simple. But she can see it through her eyes, she loved her visit in the place. She's satisfied with it.

 

"So are we going back now?" asked Jessica, taking her seat back next to Yuri.

 

"Where do you want to go before going back?"

 

Jessica sighed audibly. "I have nothing in mind."

 

"Well, me too." Yuri stated truthfully. "Let's just take some more time. Hmm, 30 minutes more before going back. Is that okay for you?"

 

"Cool. It's Okay for me." Jessica replied softly.

 

"Good. Um, excuse me. I'll continue my song first." Yuri says, as she returned her attention to her notebook then, to her guitar from time to time.
