07 | Meeting

 

Closing the door close gently behind him, Kris let out a sigh of relief. He finally had run away from his friend and his mother who had been telling him about his 'The One'. As much as he want to believe their words that the girl he met in the plane isn't going to be really his Miss Right, he couldn't. There was something in the girl that really made him this interested. Probably her aura? Yeah, because she seems a cheerful girl - one of the traits she likes from a girl. Just like her mother. Not to mention, she seriously has a beautiful face that she couldn't help it and see her face again inside his brain. He must be really falling? It's quiet impossible to say it right away, but if it continues, he wouldn't be surprise.

 

He casually pulled his chair in his desk and sat down. Opening his laptop, he immediately opened a browser and type on the search box - Im-Seo Twins.

 

Within a second only, search results was found. He can see pictures of the twins. And he smiled from ear to ear when he recognized Paul. 

 

"So this is the twins. Paul has a twin. Not Identical twin then." Mutters him as he click more on the pictures. Until he stopped to a particular picture. A rising eyebrows was seen from him, as he can see the twins with a girl. Not the same girl he met in the plane. Her eyes are like doe-eyed, and absolutely, she's also beautiful. But the girl he met in the plane is more beautiful in his eyes.

 

He didn't mind the picture and continue browsing. Most of the twins' pictures are playing in an amusement park, strolling the mall, fishing, swimming, and biking. Heck, all of them has the doe-eyed girl.

 

"Where's their Omma? How come it's this girl they're always with?" He wondered why and where could be that Seohyun if she's the mother. He checks on the description of the pictures, the picture says, Actress Im Yoona. "With her twins?" gasped him, couldn't believe the description. His heart beat nervously. Yet, it got him more curious with the actress. He searched the actress name and Seo Joohyun's name on the search engine, his eyes widened when most of the pictures are in a wedding. He opened one particular picture and his jaw drops as the picture description says - 'Actress Im Yoona married girlfriend Seo Joohyun after months of dating.'.

 

"Damn, she's married."

 

A couple of seconds later, he ruffled his hair furiously. "ANDWAEEEE!!!" as he scream in frustrations. It surely just made him really disappointed and heart broken? "SHE'S TOO YOUNG TO BE MARRIED!!!" He got up and drop his body on top of his mattress, rolling around continuously. He keeps on doing it for the next minutes until he got tired and weakly stared at his ceiling. "So she's not really the one for me. Geez, I almost thought she could be. Tsk,tsk."

 

Upon hearing his phone beeping, he let out a heavy sigh and sit up. Consequently taking his phone on top of the night stand. A message from the hospital made him smile. "At least, I can forget her already with my work. But still not giving up to search for my 'The one'. Hehe... " he snickers, thinking of forgetting the girl in the plane and just proceeds searching again. He's still young after all. It's not yet the end.

[Im Mansion]

 

 

"Now everyone is not around - can you tell me now what happened earlier that it made the dinner so quiet?"

 

Seohyun almost jump in surprise when she heard her wife's voice behind her. She's outside, having her tea, watching the night sky above her. She turned her head and find Yoona standing with her straight face towards her. She's wearing her hood on her head and a pajama pants already. "Why are you still up?" She asked her, avoiding the topic. Even though it's obvious.

 

Yoona stepped three forward, close enough for her to completely turn her wife's body around. "You know what I am talking about, Hon." She softly uttered, not missing and fix her hair behind her ears. "And you know I don't sleep without you by my side." She whispered, flashing her infamous alligator smile.

 

"So you noticed?" Seohyun softly asks.

 

Yoona gently take Seohyun's cup of tea and intertwine their hands. "Before anything else. Let's put the cup aside." She said and drag her wife back inside the mansion.

 

Seohyun couldn't react - just allowing Yoons drag her until they have reach the kitchen. Yoona put the cup to the sink and turned to her wife again. Seohyun was about to say something, yet, she put a finger against her lips and once again drag her.

 

"What are you doing?" Seohyun chuckles softly, doesn't know what's happening to her wife.

 

Yoona continued walking while dragging her wife. She made their way out again. But this time, she drags her to the mansion's garden. They sat next to each other, holding each other's hands, quiet. Thus, Seohyun know herself Yoona is just waiting for her answer. So she took he time and gain some courage - until she decided to say it.

 

"Is this something about my new manager?" But before she can able to tell her wife, Yoona have a guess.

 

"Your new manager? How can you tell it's about your new manager?" Seohyun felt like it was a joke for her wife.

 

"You know - you have probably told our kids about my schedule... possibly the Agency won't give me a rest." Yoona explained her own guess.

 

Seohyun smiled in amusement, as she gives Yoona's hand a squeeze. "No. It's not about that, Hon. It's... about something else that I have no clue what could be your reaction."

 

"Spill it." Yoona instantly says,staring deeply into her wife's eyes. She couldn't guess anymore if it's not about her schedule.

 

Seohyun purse her lips briefly and looked at their hands, on top of her lap. She looked back at her wife with another brief smile. "It's about Appa. Appa Im." She started softly.

 

"And?" Yoona couldn't wait anymore.

 

Using her free hand (left), Seohyun took out the letter from the pocket of her pajama pants. She hesitantly showed it to Yoona. Yoona stared at the paper she's holding for her. "Danny... He happened to discover your Appa's... letter." She said, hoping this won't be really bad to reveal the letter to Yoona.

 

"He read it?" Yoona asked, as she accepted the folded letter. With that also, she let go of her wife's hand unfolded it casually.

 

"He did. And... well, just read what is inside." Seohyun answered. She had never thought of reading the letter earlier and decided to keep it herself instead. But base on what her son have said earlier, the letter contains messages for Im-Seo family.

 

Yoona fell into a complete silence as she read the letter through her mind only. Seohyun scooted closer and wrapped arms around her wife's left arm. She put her chin on top of her shoulders and leaned in to kiss her cheek. She rested her head there, to have a read on the letter. She barely could read because the lights outside is not that bright. However, Yoona seems to read it clearly. She's silent, but Seohyun started to feel her wife's body have turn cold?

 

A couple of seconds later, she frowned when she saw a tear drops on the paper. She quickly leaned away and check her wife. Apparently, Yoona is tearing up. Just as she expected though.

 

"What... what was in the letter?" She needed to know also - so Yoona can't keep it to herself.

 

"I actually... have known this already." Yoona confessed, as she wiped her tears. She grit her teeth, mad that her father keep it to himself.

 

Seohyun decided to take the paper and read the paper clearly this time. Her chest did tighten, and she almost want to say a curse. Thus, she keep it inside and focus back to her wife - who was more than hurt by the letter. "What do you mean you know?" asks her, helping her wife wiping her tears through her thumb.

 

"His doctor..." Yoona pause as she sniffles. "She... she came to the funeral when you guys have left." She proceeds, taking her wife's hand and intertwine it with hers. She is looking down to their hands as she continue her words, "She told me everything my father have kept. It's hard to accept that because of keeping this, we weren't able to support him. We weren't able to save him. The Doctor says, it can be prevented if someone will be there for him, telling him to take his medicine. But . He is stubborn. He doesn't honestly take his medicine regularly. The last time we knew that he had chest tightening, the doctor have warn him already - if another attack will occur, it will kill him. And that's it... we lose him. And that's not just his fault but my fault... because I never thought about it. I hate him - I seriously hate him right now... and I hate myself. I've done nothing but headaches to him. I am seriously a useless daughter. How could... "

 

Seohyun did not let Yoona continue her words anymore as she put her finger against her lips. "Yoona, don't say that. Don't ever say that baby. No one wanted this to happen. Not even your father." she says, softly. It breaks her heart Yoona is blaming herself now.

 

"But... "

 

Seohyun wiped away again the tears that were new dropping in her wife's cheeks and added, "You love him very much, right? With that alone, I don't think you've done nothing for him. Yoona, I saw it within my eyes - he's always happy and proud to see you do your own thing. Though you're not the perfect daughter to others, I'm sure you are perfect for him. You're perfect for me."

 

"How can you explain his stubbornness? If he loves me, he wouldn't be. He would take his medicine and fight for it. How can he do this to me and to the family? Because he doesn't want to bother me? He doesn't want to worry us? That's a bullsh*t reason. If I was him, I would tell my family so I can fight for my life.  So I can still celebrate more years of my life... He never thought about me - does he? I have no one left now." Yoona angrily stated, moving away from her wife, as she continue to wipe her tears of sorrow.

 

Seohyun scoffed - sensing the stubborn heart Yoona has at the moment. But she somehow understand it. However, she can't let her think that way more. "What about me? What about the kids? Aren't we your family? So you're seeing we're not a family? I think you are just thinking about yourself at this moment. And I actually understand that. It's hard still to accept it... But you know what? I think He left because he knows, you won't be alone anymore - because you have us, your family. As what he says in his letter - it's obvious that he is happy and contented with his life. This must be the reason that he decided to not fight with it. I believe, he already knows his mission and that's to see you always happy and having a family on your own." she moved closer to her wife again and side hug her. "I know you are hurting more than me right now, but please... please... don't forget that I am here always for you. I and the kids will not leave your side. You may have lose your father, but you never lose us. You have us always by your side. So Please... don't think you're alone, baby... please..."

 

Yoona felt so stupid with the words she just said earlier. She just realized it after hearing her wife. It was due to her mix of emotions right now. She face her wife completely and embraces her. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry with what I've said... " so she takes it back right away. She sobs, silently against her shoulders.

 

Seohyun smiled, and rubs Yoona's back continuously. She's glad she made her realized her words. And she hope, Yoona would no longer feel like she's alone now. Because to be honest, she wouldn't be anymore. Thus, she totally understand Yoona's situation. She's a daughter too.

[Twins and YooHyun's Bedroom]

 

 

Daniel's eyes fluttered open - quiet doesn't like his dream because it has their Grandpa. He felt goosebumps all over his body as he thought about him again. Letting out a sigh, he turned to the side and frowned when he saw Paul is sitting up and opens his night lamps. He thought he's already sleeping.

 

"Paul? What's your dream?" asked him, thinking they have the same dream.

 

"Omo, you're still awake Danny?" Paul was surprised with the sudden voice that calls him.

 

Daniel pout his lips. "I woke up just now. Grandpa seems to visit me in my dream. I don't like it so I decided to wake up. How about you?" He pulled his life size pillow closer and tangle his legs comfortably. "I miss him, don't you know that? Seeing him in my dream just made me miss him much."

 

"Me too. I mean, I miss Grandpa. But I don't have the same dream. However, I know he's happy to where he is now. Like Omma told us, he's looking over us always... Um, I wake up because I feel like peeing." Paul sheepishly reasoned at the end. He steps away from his bed and casually proceeds to the bathroom.

 

Sitting up, Daniel stepped away from his bed as well - as he made his way to the crib, where Yoo Hyun is soundlessly sleeping. "Lucky Yoonie - Grandpa doesn't seem to visit her." mutters him, as he pat his sister's head lightly. He then thought of going to the balcony, he opened the sliding door and let himself breath the fresh air from outside. But much to his surprised, he realized their Daddy and Omma are still outside - in the garden. They seemed to be comforting each other? Yet, he realized a paper next to his mother. It was the paper he gave to his mother. A single tear drops in the corner of his eyes as he thought of his Daddy, knowing about the letter. He felt like, he shouldn't have discovered it - but he immediately shook it off his head when his mother's words rings his head again. He's sure it was meant to be discovered, just like his mother says.

 

"Danny? What are you doing outside? It's cold." Paul also went to the balcony upon seeing his twin is outside. "Omo. Are you okay?" He gasped when he realized his cheeks are wet.

 

Daniel quickly wiped his tears off and turned to his brother. "Paul, can you help me with something?"

 

"Eh?" Paul's brows raised in curiosity.

 

A big smile crept across Daniel's face as he took his brother's wrist and forcefully drags him back inside. Paul has to let go to close the sliding door and Daniel grab a paper and a pen on top of his desk. Paul approach his twin with a blank face.

 

"What are you going to do at this night?" asked Paul, innocently.

 

"It seems that Daddy have already read the letter Paul. Let's write a letter for Daddy too. I want to make her feel good tonight before going to bed with Omma." Daniel shared his idea, confidently.

 

A smile -- from ear to ear have made its way to Paul's lips too. "I like the idea, twin."

 

"Here." Daniel handed his brother a paper.

 

"I have also in my desk. So Keep that instead." Paul quickly pulled his leather chair on his desk and sat down. Their desks are just next to each other. He opens his lamp and took his pen and a paper, started writing for their Daddy.

 

Daniel gladly started writing his own thoughts too. His mind and heart are one this time -- for their Yoong Daddy.

As soon as the door was click open, Yoona and Seohyun let go from their liplock and catches their breath. Foreheads are against with each other, as their eyes are on fire. Both are smiling - no evidence any sadness. Just thinking about their love for each other.

 

"Could this be the night, Hon?" Yoona whispered huskily to her wife's ears.

 

"Let's see." whispered Seohyun back with a bit of her lower lip. Her eyes are into Yoona's lips, eager to run her pair of lips there again.

 

Yoona pushed the door open and push her wife inside. She gently close the door and locked it securely. Seohyun couldn't wait any longer, as she pulled Yoona again for another passionate kiss.

 

Unfortunately for the couple, a sudden ring of someone's phone was heard - causing for them to groan and break the kiss. The hype definitely died. Yoona muttered 'Sorry', to her wife before letting go of her and pick up her phone on top of the night stand. Seohyun just doesn't mind and entered the bathroom.

 

"Aigoo." Yoona loudly sighed, as she checks the caller - Company's lawyer. "Hey." She answered, momentarily.

 

[I'm sorry for the night call - but I couldn't seem to tell you this tomorrow.]

 

"What?" Lying down on her back, Yoona answered back.

 

[Is it okay if we're going to spread your father's ashes in the same lake we have spread your mother's? The Im Family have agreed to it already. It's you that I am waiting for.]
