06 | A letter

 

 

Flashback...

 

"First step: Drop your ID."

 

Kris made a rising eyebrows towards his friend, Sehun upon hearing his words. "What is this for?"

 

"You want to know your 'The One', right? Your Miss right?" Sehun chuckled, couldn't believe his friend's innocent face.

 

"Oh, I'm sorry. I was reading my magazine when you suddenly speak so loud there. Okay, spill it brother." Kris mood just lit up, hearing it's about his plan in searching for his soon to be wife. He is now so interested listening to him.

 

"Drop your ID after using the plane's toilet." Sehun further instructed.

 

"Eh? What will I do in the toilet?"

 

"Later. If you need to go the toilet. Babo!" Sehun couldn't hold it and smack his friend's head, earning his giggle. 

 

"Okay, I get it."

 

"If someone will pick up your ID - and yes... take note, A girl."

 

"Hmm?"

 

"She could be the one."

 

Kris grinned. "What if a gay?"

 

"Shut up with your non sense! We are looking for a random girl. Put that in your mind!"

 

"Okay, deal." Kris snickers. He's not into gays though. How could he joke around like that? But it's fun to see Sehun's defensive response. 

 

Sehun then proceeds showing a picture to Kris. It's a picture of New York's cabs. "If the girl that picked up your ID later - will help you inform about calling for a cab, then you're on the right track. Give her your caller ID before telling you about the cab and before you leave."

 

"Whoa? That simple? I can tell she's already 'The One'?" Kris is seriously innocent about signs. Heck, he kind of see it fun. Who knows? He'll fall for this girl?

 

"Well, if you'll get to see her again the following day. That's likely your Miss Right." Sehun put aside the book. He has no more ideas though.

 

"Hmm, How about... if the same girl will wear a white or yellow dress? You know I like white and yellow, brother." Kris suggested, imagining a pretty girl, wearing the combination of the colors he likes.

 

"Err... that's quiet... impossible. But let's see. If you guys didn't see each other again - then she's not The One. If you guys have, then she's wearing either your favorite color, she's really The One." Sehun simply advised his friend.

 

"Hmm, Okay." Kris put his hands behind his head and leaned back. He had a smirk on his formed in his lips. He already can't wait and do the challenge Sehun was talking about.

 

"Don't forget to drop your ID later once you need to pee to the toilet. hehe." Sehun reminded, copying his friend's position in his seat.

 

End of Flashback..

 

 

Kris put on his sunglasses back and opened his phone, contacting his friend right away, while he cross the streets. "I really think I found the one, Sehun." He said, once the other line have answered.

 

[That Seo Joohyun you are talking about?]

 

"Yup. We've meet again." Kris said confidently. He entered back the convenient store before he continues, "And guess what? She's wearing white but... has three kids. But it's okay. I just hope she's not married or something. Because I swear, I'm just dreaming she could be the one."

 

[It's okay for you that she has kids? Wow.]

 

"Why not? I love kids too." Kris chuckled. He pick up a soda from a freezer and casually approached the cashier.

 

[I don't really know what to say anymore. Well, Good luck. Have you ask her number?]

 

"Damn. I forgot." Kris literally smack his forehead physically. He quickly hang up the phone call and rushed outside. He cross the street again and returned to that restaurant he saw that Seohyun have entered. Unfortunately, they're no longer there. He looked around the place - but sadly they're gone. He sighed, disappointingly.

 

"Are you going to eat, Sir?" A waiter have asked him.

 

"Um, No. Thanks. But, can I ask?"

 

"Hmm?"

 

Kris quickly stood to the table previously Seohyun have seated with her kids. "The people using this table earlier. Do you know where could have I seen them? Or do you know them?"

 

"I don't know where are they now. However, I think I recognized the twins. Don't you know about the famous Im-Seo twins?" The waited so wanted to laugh, upon realizing the guy has no idea about the kids earlier.

 

"Im-Seo?" Kris raised his brows curiously.

 

"Yes. They're-"

 

Ringgg~~~

 

"Oh, hold on. I'll answer this first." Kris cut the waiter's words right away, after hearing his phone ringing. He fished it out from his pocket and check the caller ID. He let out a rolling of eyes upon seeing his mother calling him. "I'm sorry. I think I have to go. I'll just search about Im-Seo. Hehe. Thanks for your time." He just left the restaurant casually and answered the phone call. "I'm coming there now. Yeah, I know how to call cab out here. I'm not a kid a anymore to have Sehun always with me, ya know. Bye." He hang up and look for the cab as soon as he put the phone back to the pocket of his jacket.

 

 

 

 

[Funeral]

 

 

From Appa:

"Why? Who sent you a message?" Sunny asked, realizing that her friend, Seohyun, is paying attention to her phone when her phone beeps.

 

Seohyun flashed a small smile to Sunny. "Appa. He couldn't make it to day - but Omma will be here." She said softly. Putting back her phone on her phone, she turned her head to the tables, where Im family are serving food and drinks to every guests that are coming. "Look - the twins indeed did not follow their Daddy." heck, she also notices her twins are serving.

 

"I told you. But They're so doom if their Daddy see's them." Sunny commented, watching the twins bowing and giving the tea to every old woman and man. But it's good to her eyes, as she realized the guests are smiling to the twins.

 

"But the guests seemed doesn't mind." Seohyun smiled as well. The twins are behave - which is good. "W-Wait. Where's Yoonie?" But she suddenly panics, realizing her maknae isn't in her side anymore. She was just standing next to her earlier.

 

"Dang, she must have sneak out." Sunny also panics, looking around the place.

 

"I'll look for her."

 

"I'll go with you."

 

Seohyun stopped Sunny. "No. I'll go look after her only Unnie. You look over the twins. They might do something impolite." She reminded her before walking out the dining area in the funeral. Sunny just couldn't complain anymore and look for the twins right away.

 

As Seohyun entered the main room, she saw guests still coming and giving their respects to the family's decease. She looked around until she spotted first, Yul and Jessica, talking with Taeyeon. That just surprised her - Taeyeon had never told her she will come to the funeral. But what caught her attention more is the new girl next to Taeyeon. She doesn't seem to remember Taeyeon has a friend like her? 'Who is she?' In her mind.  But before she could actually approach them, she was being reminded by her lost maknae. She shrugs about the girl first and look around the place. For her 2nd time of looking, she spotted finally Yoo Hyun - being carried by her Daddy.

 

"Aigoo." She sighed, mentally face palming. She approached them, but stops half way when she noticed Yoonie and her Daddy are actually playing. They're playing rock, paper, scissor. That then, she realized Yoona is smiling again. Yoo Hyun is giggling every time her Daddy will tickle her, because she loses. But if it's Yoona who lose, Yoo Hyun will flick her Daddy's forehead. Yoona will just stare at their maknae with a straight face. "Aww... Yoongie, Yoonie." Compared to the last time she saw her wife - she was crying. It's much better now. A genuine smile formed in her lips, watching them from behind, with awe.

 

"Hmm, So it's only the maknae that can bring Yoona's bright mood?"

 

Seohyun turned her head behind, only to see Yul with Jessica. "Oh, Hi... Unnie, Yul Oppa." She smiled brighter, greeting the newlyweds. "Have you guys greeted Yoona?"

 

"Yep, earlier." Jessica answers, crossing her arms.

 

"So where's the twins?" Yul asked, as he realized the absence of his twins.

 

However, Seohyun's attention landed to a new girl behind Yul's shoulder. She squinted her eyes, couldn't really recall where she had seen her. Well, she has no memories about the girl. Really the first time she just saw the girl.

 

"Who are you staring at?" Yul asked instead, looking back together with his wife.

 

"That girl with Taeyeon Unnie. Who is she? I think I just saw her." Seohyun truthfully answered.

 

"Oh, Manager Son. Also known as Wendy." Yul said, staring back to the young mother again. "Haven't Yoona mentioned?"

 

"What?" Seohyun confusedly looked back at Yul.

 

"She's the new manager." Jessica says in behalf of Yul - who smiled at her. "Mr. Choi have already left the Agency and Went abroad just before you guys left to New York for our wedding."

 

"I've hired a new one. So yeah, she's here with us. To see Yoona also."

 

"Just when did Yoona know she has a new manager?" Seohyun seriously is clueless about this new manager. She thought she can see her previous manager.

 

Yul and Jessica exchange gazes, before staring back to their friend.

 

"Just when we arrived. Hehe." Yul replied with a sheepish smile.

 

"She knows Taeyeon Unnie?" The young mother have also wonders - seeing how this Wendy seemed talking a lot with her former bodyguard.

 

"Well, Apparently Yes. She's her colleague from her previous work she attended. That's what Wendy told us earlier." Jessica says, honestly.

 

Seohyun looked back to Wendy and Taeyeon. "Oh, I see." nodding in understanding. However, she felt a bit weird as she continue to watch this Wendy - happily talking with Taeyeon. It must be because this is the first time a young female manager is going to be always with Yoona. Normally, she's okay to see Yoona with her manager. But knowing it's a girl, it suddenly become so strange for her. A sudden urge of possessiveness over her wife runs her heart. 'I hope she will take good care my wife while they're on the work.'

 

"Hey. I am asking about our twins. Where are them?" Yul still couldn't forget his twins. He missed them after all.

 

Snapping back to reality, Seohyun returned her attention to Yul and Jessica. "Oh, I-I... I'm sorry. Um, they're just in the next room - serving the guests. The dining area." She almost stutter the whole sentence.

 

"Tsk,tsk. You should go and greet her. She's no harm, Hyun. Hehe. We'll just see the twins." says Yul, teasing his first love. He put his arm around Jessica's shoulder and lead them to the next room.

 

Seohyun took a deep breath and was about to approach Taeyeon and Wendy when two hands covered her eyes. She stiffened, for a couple seconds - upon recognizing the small hands and Yoona's giggle behind.

 

"Hon? Yoonie? Aigoo, stop it my babies." She smiled from ear to ear.

 

Yoona put Yoo Hyun down and wrap her arms around Seohyun's waist over behind. She then sweetly whispers to her right ear, "I miss my wife. Where have you been, Huh?" she kissed her cheeks before the latter turns to her. She leaned in and was so close to kiss her wife when the latter step back and covered her lips, pointing someone down momentarily. Following her finger, she realized Yoo Hyun is still there, watching them with attentive eyes.

 

"Yoonie, turn around." She instructed.

 

"No!" Yoo Hyun instantly decline.

 

Heck, Seohyun doesn't like it too. "Yoong, there are a lot of people here too." as she thought it's not good to be showing their affection for each other. Not to mention, it's her father's funeral. 

 

"Yeah, Sorry." Yoona sheepishly rubs her head, awkwardly smiling to her wife. She sighed afterwards. "Oh, have you met my new manager?" And just change to a new topic. Yoo Hyun disappointedly stomps her feet. That was so close for her to see her parents to see kissing - it would have been the first time.

 

"I was about to earlier. But you guys stop me." Seohyun said.

 

"Great. Come here." Yoona quickly took her wife's hand, while Yoo Hyun held her other free hand. Together, they approach Taeyeon and Wendy in the corner. Both girls have turned to them, as they stopped in front of them. "Um, Manager Son, This is my wife by the way - Seohyun. Hon, She's my new manager - Wendy Son." She introduced her in vice versa.

 

"Hi, It's nice to meet you finally." Wendy extended her hand, friendly smiling to her artist's wife.

 

Seohyun did not hesitate and held the new manager's hand. "Pleasure to meet you." She flashed a smiling eyes as well. However, she felt a bit awkward. 

 

"Pleasure is mine, Mrs. Im." Wendy retorted. She's so glad meeting her. She had research about the family - and she looks more beautiful than in the pictures she saw in the internet.

 

Seohyun could only smile back again and retracted her hand from her.

 

"Im Yoo Hyun." Yoo Hyun couldn't also fight the urge and introduced herself innocently. She extended her hand up towards her Daddy's new manager.

 

"Omo." Wendy exclaimed. "Is this your maknae?" She looked down to her, finding the little girl so pretty and adorable - especially those puffy cheeks. "She really gets your cheeks, Mrs. Im." She giggles, as she crouch down and take the little girl's small hand. "I'm Wendy Son. Nice to meet you too Yoonie. Hope we will be friends." She excitedly added.

 

Yoo Hyun however, retracted back her hand immediately. She bowed and says, "Nice meet you." copying the girl's words momentarily. 

 

Taeyeon, Yoona and Seohyun are all smiling.

 

"Aww, you're so adorable and really so pretty too. I hope you will like me too." Wendy are so eager and pinch those puffy cheeks. But the younger girl hides behind her Daddy.

 

"Um, have you guys eaten?" Yoona asked. She exactly knows their maknae is not good with socializing new people around.
