01 | New Mission

Arriving safely in front of her brother's drive, Seohyun rolled over her window car, making sure that the guards are recognizing here. Apparently, the guards are checking on her appearance. Since she had put on a sun glass, she put it aside, and began to introduce herself. "Sapphire, Echo, Ocean... Juliet, Ocean, Ocean, Henry, Young, Union, NewYork."

"Any weapons Miss Joohyun-ssi?" Asked one particular guard.

"Two rifles. One revolver... and three semi-automatic pistol. And, honey." She answered, truthfully. She patted her steering wheel, to emphasize the car.

The guard smiled, knowing exactly who is honey... or what is honey. "You can get inside now." he said softly before gesturing one guard to open the gate.

"Nice new hair-cut Jooyoung Oppa." Seohyun simply uttered, referring to the guard that talked to her. She then rolled the window back, and drive off carefully and slowly inside her brother's compound. Also known us, her brother's mansion.

Pulling it over next to another car, she hastily unbuckle her seat belt and picked up the box of cake on the passenger seat. She steps out of the car - only to rushed to the next car. "Omo! Omo! My Romeo!!! I thought I'm not going to see you anymore!!!" she acted like a silly owner of a car immediately. She keeps on kissing the hood of it - totally missing the car. She then rushes inside and check if it's still the same. Glad that nothing really change, except for the little unpleasant smell, she didn't mind at all. At the middle of her happiness, she didn't noticed her brother had approach the car.

"What's the noise about?" Onew suddenly asked, while leaning his head inside - earning a quick squael and slapped from his dongseng. He simply chuckled. "So you miss the Romeo that much?"

Seohyun rolled back her eyes, as she gestures her brother to move away. She steps out of the car and launched a hard punch to the latter's stomach. Onew stepped back, clutching on his stomach, but still chuckling.

"Is this the way you greet your brother, huh?"

"Happy Birthday Oppa~" Seohyun just automatically softened. She pulled her brother up and hug him. "I thought I couldn't make it, but it seems Honey is really fast. Hehe." she snickered. Not minding any response, she went back to the car and picked up the cake she brought. "HAPPY! BIRTHDAAYYY!!!" then once again yelled, causing for her brother to wore a poker face. "Wae? You don't like it? Hey, I ordered this to my favorite shop. You should be thankful because I certainly made a time for my loving and sweeOppa."

"Tsk,tsk. You didn't even change a single detail." Onew took the box of the cake and walked out. Seohyun catches up casually.

"So are your friends here?"

"Yup. In the garden. Wait..." One stops half-way. He leaned forward to his sister's face, as if observing something on her bare face. He found something unusual. "You didn't put some make-up?" Truth is, ever since his dongseng had been the top agent, the change on her appearance was something. She's like some cocky agent now. The innocent girl was no more.

Awkwardly, Seohyun pushed her brother's face off her way. "It's your birthday. I thought you said if I'm with your friends... a.k.a. your business friends, not some sort of an Agent or anything... I shouldn't be acting like a gangster to their eyes. I learned my lessons, ya know." she grinned.

"Well, it's good to see... but for Christ's sake! You can't go on there without even a light make-up! You look like a pale white lady! Now move! Put some make up!" Onew forcibly pushed his sister towards the entrance of the door. Seohyun stumble but was able to put on her balance right away.

"Okay, fine... fine... Aigoo... " Seohyun mumbles, as she casually entered the Mansion.

"Yah! Don't show yourself without any make-up on!"

"I KNOW!" Seohyun yelled, slamming the door once she had enter the said place. Hearing nothing anymore, she deep a sigh. She purse her lips briefly before heading to the stairs. Casually, she was walking up with her two hands on the pocket of her jacket. With one last step, she instantly dashes to her room and quickly check on her laptop. That was apparently on. A super proud grin plastered across her face once she saw the message from the higher. Telling her that he had receive the recent mission she ace to complete. 

Happy, she type on a response and quickly headed to her closet. She change her clothes into a comfortable blue jeans and white top. She then put on some light make-up only before heading out and meet her brother in the garden.

"Everyone - Um... my sister. My little rascal sister. She just recently went back from a mission. And it seems that - she ace it again. So yes, we are celebrating two reasons. My birthday and her, complete mission." Onew said, aloud to his friends. Each one of his friends smiled and congratulate the little Seo.

"Thank You." said Seohyun, bowing three times before composing herself again and smiled so friendly.

"Let's continue the party!!!" Onew announces, earning some shouts and yells from his guests. Seohyun chuckled. Thus, she also joined them. She also entertained her brother's guests left and right. They weren't new to her, so she feels so comfortable. She felt like she's not alone anymore when she's with them, honestly.

Soon, the party was over. Seohyun was left in one of the tables, drinking some red wine. The maids and the butlers were apparently fixing the garden in front of her eyes. She was relax. Totally relax. But when her phone vibrated, she startled and cursed. Heck, she couldn't ignore it. SO she took it out and let out a huge yawn when she read the caller id - Minhyuk-ssi. He was her recruit.

"Hey." Casually, she just answer.

[Miss Seo, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you but... Um, can I ask about Krystal?]

"Bye." without thinking about it, she simply ended the call. "Tch, I told him the policy. How dare he ask me about another recruit. And Krystal is still so young to date anyone. Such a bad boy." she mumbles and put her phone aside. Focusing back her attention to the glass of wine, she sighed. She pouted. And most especially, she felt so lonely again. Ever since she dump Luna a few months back, she knows she choose to be alone now. Well, she certainly just don't like Luna anymore. Their relationship is more like doing 'it 'only. There wasn't any connection between them other than that.

She's the most bitter person on earth -- she has to admit.

The only thing that makes her happy at the moment is definitely acing every countless missions. And of course, making her brother happy. Who was apparently up there on his mansion, with some business clients.

"Miss Seo... are you okay?"

Slightly turning her gazes to the maid on the side, she grinned. "I'm okay. I'm just a little tired now." she sighed once again, reaching for her glass of wine and have some few gulps before dropping her head to the table with a loud thud. "Don't bother to wake me up until tomorrow. Unless my phone is ringing and a director from the Agency is the one calling." she said for the last time, before she had drifted to sleep.

The morning comes so fast.

Seohyun opened her eyes with a bad headache. And indeed, she was still in the garden. But there was a blanket on her back already.

She let out such a huge yawn, stretching her arms in the process. As she got up, she automatically drops on the ground because of her cramps. Normally happening for her if she sleeps in a sitting position. 

Taking some breathing exercises, she slowly sat up and massages her legs. "Aigoo, such a bad way to start the day."

"Start your day with a breakfast with me, then."

"I have to go to the Headquarters." Seohyun didn't mind to turn anymore. She knows the voice and the footsteps behind too well.

"This early?" Onew steps forward in front of his sister, showing that he was still on his pajama and was biting some apples. Seohyun looked up and gulped, upon realizing her brother was eating the apple she ever liked. "Even just an hour of breakfast? Come on, my girlfriend had already left."

"Chincha?"

"Apple salad... fresh potato fries, chicken sandwich, bacon and some fresh milks. That doesn't crave you?" Onew grinned, still insisting.

A big smile just plastered across Seohyun's features. As then, she got up and wipe the little dirt on her legs. Before she could compose herself, her brother got her wrist and dragged her back to the Mansion.

[Seo Mansion - Dining Room]

Seohyun was eating on her meal vigorously on her own without minding how much she had gain her brother's attention already. She was like an agent that hasn't eaten for a decade in front of One's eyes. For the first fifteen minutes, she has been like that. Until her brother raise a question, she needed to stop.

"How was Yoona?"

Seohyun took a moment of silence before she replied. "I've heard that she and Tiffany are engage."

"You were okay with it?" Onew couldn't help but be curious. He certainly knows his sister is still in love with this Yoona she met in their training.

Seohyun looked at her brother with a small smile. "It's been 2 years since I've last seen her - why wouldn't I? If she loves Tiffany then go."

"You sounded bitter."

"Ugh. Haven't I mention I don't like her at all?"

"You do but base on what am I seeing right now, and hearing right now -- you do love her still." Onew stated fact. He can't deny it. How much he wanted to believe his sister isn't in love with this Yoona anymore, but it was still telling him.

Seohyun shakes her head, not believing the words she was hearing from her dear brother. She shrugs and just continue with her meal.

"5 years ever since the training... and 2 years even since you last saw her. You did not just dump your heart - were you?"

"I did."

"Okay. I'm convinced. But don't ya ever let me hear your words like that anymore. Coz I can-"

"Come on, I dated Luna." Seohyun interrupted, groaning. She was annoyed.

Onew chuckled amusingly at how his sister interrupted him. "Yes. You did. But it was only one year - and you just recently broke up with her. Now tell me a good reason why you did it?"

"I'm okay without her. I'm in love with my work more." Seohyun said softly, looking away in the process.

Onew was quiet convince with that part. He sighed and didn't think of answering her back. Rather, he finished his fresh milk, but still observing his sister. He has to say, there was still something on his sister's heart - he is certain - love. 

"They were engage 5 months ago - I'm happy about it." Seohyun added, finishing her fresh milk. She then stared back with Onew, smiling like she was happy. "And I would really consider if they'll invite me to the wedding. I mean, we are friends... especially Yoona. Shouldn't I'd be on that moment of her life? Right?"

Onew can't say any things at all but an advice. "Every single day I've spend in my life is to see how you grow up. I know you well dongseng. So if you think there's still a chance for you and the girl, don't waste any time. Life is short."
