"You falling for me isn't just a destiny, it's a curse." Yoona softly uttered as Seohyun's face slowly turned from fierce to confused and her hair returned to normal. 

"What are you saying?" Stepping forward, Seohyun never left her girlfriend's eyes as she demands an explanation.

 

"You possess what a Nephilim can do now, Joohyun. Our ancestors... has that blonde hair back then, which indicates the war is getting closer and... you're going to be the destroyer for everyone, not only in the shadow world but to the humans."

 

"Is that what the prophecy is trying to say?" Seohyun gasps as it somehow answered now to her question.

 

Yoona nodded and hang her head low.

 

"So... which... also means... we're going to fight in the end?"  Ask Seohyun in a whisper as it hurts to imagine themselves in that situation.

 

With a sad and heavy heart, Yoona slowly nodded her head again. 

 

"Is this why you trying to change my sister's mind?"

 

Yoona looked up to meet her girlfriend's confused stares. "I was hoping it could be the solution. You see if they won't make a bigger war, it can prevent what's going to happen. We can control the situation in the upcoming eclipse." 

 

A long and heavy sigh escapes Seohyun's lips as she stared uncertainly at those worried eyes from Yoona. She can feel it herself. It's not going to be an easy mission later on. "Do the vampires know about this?"

 

"No one knows." Yoona lowly replied. She took her girlfriend's hand and pulled her for a hug. 

 

"What are we going to do?" asked the young vampire as her arms slowly wrap around the slender waist of the young Nephilim. It's either they have to sacrifice their love for each other or they'll let it happen. It's such a big dilemma... at least for her. As someone who only has Yoona now, she doesn't want to let go of her. There's a part of her that wants to face what's ahead of them rather than avoiding it by breaking up with each other. But she's scared of the outcome. She's scared to hurt her own love. 

 

Yoona kissed her head and whispered, "We have to deal with this. It's going to be dangerous but I believe there's a solution over this." ever since last night, she's convinced to look for a solution. Seohyun made her change her mind. 

 

Pulling back slightly to see the Nephilim's face, Seohyun smiled bitterly. "I'm scared out of a sudden."

 

"I am like that when I first learned it. But after last night, you made me believe that there's a bright side of this. So... let's deal with this. Whatever happens, you know I always love you." Yoona smiled back and she leaned into kissed the young vampire's lips, emotionally. She slowly pulled back and smile. "Let's not be stressed about it, okay?"

 

Seohyun groaned and punch Yoona's chest lightly. "How am I supposed to do that?" Her pout appears as she hugs her girlfriend again. "I don't want to leave you Yoona, I really don't want but... Ugh, why it's hard to choose one?" she whined as she stomped her feet.

 

"I know right? So let's not choose anything yet." advises Yoona. She chuckles when she felt her biting her shoulder. She pulled back and smile to see her still grumpy face. "Come on, let's get going. We have to continue as we search for a solution. Smile. Hmm?" she held her face and force her to smile as she pulled her cheeks up, but Seohyun glares at her with those dangerous red eyes. She kissed her forehead and hug her again. "Aigoo..."

 

"My birthday is coming." a reminder from Seohyun in a mutter. She sighs, knowing they might not celebrate.

 

"Omo, Indeed." Yoona mentally scolded herself for almost forgetting it if it wasn't for her reminding her. "You're getting older, eh?" she teases earning a pinch on her cheek. "Ouch!"

 

"Go shower, we have to go to school still." said Seohyun as she walked back inside the apartment. "Come on, Roxy." she called the wolf to the kitchen, and it follows her.

 

Yuri who just got back from a jog stops halfway when she saw Yoona by the door. "Did something happen?"

 

"Seohyun's birthday is in three days." Yoona told her fellow Nephilim. "Let's celebrate it." a big smile formed in her lips.

 

"Chincha? The same day I will have a date with Jessica." a big grin plastered in Yuri's face, excited for her date with a human. She didn't wait for her response and entered the apartment casually.

 

"Aigoo... " Shaking her head a little, Yoona followed them inside to finally have their breakfast.

 

However, Seohyun returned from the kitchen. "We don't have groceries by the way. I'll buy first." she told them and walked out of the apartment.

 

"Wait for me." Yoona hastily catches up with the young vampire while Yuri decided to stay with the wolf.

After her class, Yoona gathered her stuff on her desk but she had to stop when her phone beeps. She checks it, from her pocket and she received a message from the HQ, telling her that there's going to be a mission again later in the night. She casually returned it as she carries her backpack on her back after putting her things inside, leaving the room in the process along with her classmates. She passes a lot of hallways before she reached Seohyun's room, where she found students are also leaving one by one. 

 

Her eyes immediately spotted the young vampire nearby and quickly she approached her.

 

"You got the message?" asked her, thinking the HQ included her girlfriend.

 

Seohyun took her smartphone and showed she didn't receive any. "There's a massage?" and she got curious.

 

"Yes, there's going to be a mission. I guess it's just patrolling. You know to make sure no humans are in danger tonight. And since the Nephillims are preparing for the war." said Yoona as she gestures her girlfriend to start leaving. 

 

"Aren't we going to attack them before they make a war?" Seohyun thought it's better to stop the war from Vampires before they attack them or any downworlder.

 

"Nah, we have to be careful you know. Actually, I've got another idea and I hope Appa will let me." said Yoona as she gently took Seohyun's hand but the latter let go. "Wae?"

 

"We have yet to share it with everyone. Let's continue what we have agreed, okay?" 

 

"Yeah, I'm sorry." cam Yoona's sheepish reply. She almost forgot about it again. "Cafeteria or at the Amphi?"

 

"Amphi." Seohyun doesn't have to think of it. 

 

"Well." And Yoona isn't surprised at all.

"Pumpkin, when was the last time you played basketball?" 

 

The sudden question made Yoona cough and got choke with her own food. The young vampire got her bottle of water and open it for it, handing it towards her immediately. She said her thanks and took her time to drink the water while she slowly calms down. A big sigh escapes her lips as she tells her. "I don't actually remember."

 

"Wae?"

 

"Haven't I mentioned?"

 

Seohyun shakes her head. "Or did I missed to know?"

 

"It was because..." Yoona pause when she realized she's going to reveal it with Seohyun. But she needs to know either way. "Your sister."

 

"She did something for you to stop?" exclaimed Seohyun, didn't expect to hear it.

 

"Yeah." The doe-eyed nod to confirm. "And since then, I feel like my knee will ache if I play again. But I don't mind, I got more priorities as a shadow hunter." she smiled reassuringly. 

 

A heavy sigh escapes Seohyun's lips. "I'm sorry."

 

"Why would you?" chuckled Yoona as she finds it funny. "It should be your sister, not you. You don't have anything to do with this."

 

"But it was because of me she did it, didn't she?"

 

"You know what? Let's just finish your smoothie and let's return to our class. We have to return to the HQ earlier."

 

Seohyun nodded and sips on her smoothie, smiling at the doe-eyed. Yoona is the same as she would smile at her from time to time.

While waiting for Yuri and Seohyun to finished their classes in the University's park, she found Chung Ah leaving. She reminded herself about her real identity and something came into her mind that she hastily called her.

 

Chung Ah stopped on her tracks and turned to see the same doe-eyed the last time is approaching her. "Wae? What's the problem this time?"

 

"There's nothing. I just want to ask if you knew about the eclipse?"

 

"That eclipse next week?"

 

"Yes." 

"Every downworlder knows about it. That's normal." Chung Ah stated as a matter of fact. 'What is she saying?' She thought in the process.

 

A soft chuckle left Yoona's mouth but she figured the vampires especially the Seo has yet to tell everyone about their plans or does Chung Ah hides what she knows. "Do you know about the war?" But she couldn't help and mention it.

 

"War?" An innocent response from the vampire looking at Yoona with a bit of curiosity.

 

"I heard there's going to be a war between vampires and the other downworlders." Said Yoona as she observes the vampire's facial expressions. She really looked innocent and it surprised her when she mentioned. "It seems you have no idea. How many families of vampires your family is friends with?"

 

"About five, at least from what I know. But wait, you're not really kidding me about the war? I seriously have no idea. My parents seemed innocent too since they're too busy with work." 

'So if all of those families have no idea, it means there's a chance they won't cooperate with the Seo clan. It can actually make them weak.' Yoona suddenly realized something and it makes her come up with an idea. "Chung Ah-ssi... can you do me a favor?"

 

"Yes?" ChungAh raises her eyebrows.

It's been two hours and a half, everyone is getting impatient for that 'someone' Yoona is talking who hasn't arrived. They're in the cafe, keeping each other's company while talking anything their minds will take them.

 

"Yoong, just tell us what are we really going to do... and who are we waiting to join us?" Yuri shifted their topic to what's really important.

 

"Yuri-ssi is right." said Seohyun without a doubt. "It's almost nine. Aren't we in a mission?" she reminded.

 

Yoona put her coffee down and smile briefly. "Yes, we'll be in a mission later. But let's be patient for now. That someone got something important for the real mission." she gently takes Seohyun's hand and gives it a gentle squeeze. 

 

"This better not waste my time." mumbles Yuri as she took her coffee as well and took a sip. 

 

"You'll love it, Yul." smiled Yoona, can feel the annoyance from Yuri of waiting already. But she needs her to help them.

 

"Does your father know about this?" came Seohyun's question, feeling like it's only her girlfriend who thought of the mission.

 

Yoona shakes her head. "I can't tell. And he's busy selecting the warriors."

 

"Right. I seriously couldn't move around earlier in the HQ. The Nephillims from different countries have arrived early this morning." shares Yuri instantly. "We're so ready, I tell you."

 

"But are we really doing tonight?" Seohyun is getting impatient as much as Yuri. She wanted to know already as it kills her inside. She tried to understand Yoona's heartbeats but she's just chilling, she isn't even anxious or anything.

 

Yoona was about to answer when her phone beeps. She casually took it from her pocket and check it's ChungAh, telling her she's outside the cafe already. "She's outside. Come on." she hastily told the two and got up, ushering her to follow her.
