27 | Mr. Kwon

"You know I like Seohyun..."

Yoona stops half way just when she's about to step into the stairs. Upon hearing that very familiar voice, her teeth gritted, hands formed into a fist, chest tightens, as heart beats are anxiously fast. She her back, she send her brother an intense glare. "Wae? Do you think she liked you back? You and her are just her past. She had moved on. Can't you see?! And for your information, we are dating way before you went back from Jeju. And you know what? If you have said it from the start, I wouldn't be like this. I WOULDN'T BE SO IN LOVE WITH HER, RIGHT NOW!" She shouted angrily. Yet, she means the words she said.

Yul dashes forward, almost got into Yoona's collar if  it wasn't for a voice that stops him frustratingly. He stepped back, can only stare at Yoona. Like they're in a battle contest, he doesn't want to look away. Otherwise, he would be losing against him. At least, he can hold himself at the moment. 

"Yul? What do you think you are doing to Yoona?" It was Narsha, who immediately between them. She can feel how heavy was the atmosphere between Yul and Yoona. If she didn't shout earlier, Yul would have hurt the doe-eyed. "Have I told you violence is against the rules in this mansion? Omo. I think you have forgotten this isn't your home."

Stepping more backwards, the tan guy turned to Narsha. He wanted to answer her but he thinks it's not Narsha's business. So he shrugs and sent his sister a last look before he turned and left the mansion.

Yoona slowly sat down at one of the steps in the stairs, breathless and couldn't cope with her tears dropping once again. She can really take the pain in heart. It's like thousands of thorn was buried inside, she held onto her chest and silently cry.

"What happened?" Ask Narsha in concern. "Why does Yul look so mad about you. Did you-"

Yoona looked up and wipe her tears, staying strong, as much as she can. "Thanks Narsha-ssi... but It's... It's a long story. I can't tell it in details." Getting up, she bitterly smiled to the other girl, before turning around and climb upstairs almost trembling due to her mix of emotions and her will to avoid showing her tears to Narsha. As soon as she arrived her room, she slam the door behind her.

Narsha was left agape and concerned.

Yoona on the other hand lied back on her comfy bed, staring into the ceiling dazedly. Heck, eyes are creating tears. Her heart is so sad and aching right now. She didn't know it could be like this. She felt like dying. But damn, how stupid it could be.

Roughly, she changed her position - lying on the bed with her chest. As she keeps on holding herself not to cry, it would never happen. She cried. She sadly cried her heart out like a baby that just sad because she didn't get her toy.

At the midst of it, she heard her phone beeps. Yet, she ignored. She continue to cry rather than minding the stupid device.

But it didn't even beeps. She can hear it ringing already. She has really no mood and fish it out, only to end the ca without checking who called.

Yet, the other person calling her is not stopping. It rings again and again which irritates her. She decided to answer it anyway.

"Yah! I'm not in the mood to answer any calls. Go to sleep already!" But only to yell at the other person angrily. She was about to end the call when it the other person speaks, which made her heart rattle.

[Yoong, Did I do something wrong?  Please don't be like this. I really don't understand what is happening. Please.... answer me. ]

It was Seohyun, obviously crying on the phone.

"Seohyun..." Despite the tears and her heavy chest, Yoona was able to call out her girlfriend's name.

[Yah! Don't tell me you are leaving me now? Just because your brother knows? I thought you promise you won't? I thought you promise we'll stay strong? We'll face him as soon as he will learn this. Yoongie, You are hurting me!!!]

Yoona ruffles her hair frustratingly, as she sat up and put her best answer. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry If I just left. But that... that's because I'm a shame of myself. It wasn't because of Yul Oppa or anyone out there. Please understand baby. I just need to think of myself first. I'm so sorry. I'm deeply sorry."

[But you are not breaking up or leaving me right? Please don't... I would die.]

"Shshsh... It's not like that. I won't really do that. I love you very much, It will hurt me too If I do."

[Promise?]

It breaks Yoona's heart more, hearing her girlfriend sounded like she was begging. It was really a mistake that she let her emotions broke like that. "Promise. I pomise baby." She huskily answered, sniffling in the process.

[Okay. I promise I won't too. Baby... I love you~]

Yoona's heart flattered. "I love you too."

[Goodnight~]

"Let's fix this tomorrow. Good night." Yoona sighed and ended the call voluntarily. She let her head drop low as she continue to inhale and exhale heavily. A sad pout formed in her lips, as she realized she made Seohyun worry about their relationship. She literally smack her forehead and lay back down again. Thus, her mind crosses her brother once again. And his twins. "Why is it so disappointing Yul Oppa still has a connection towards Hyun, through the twins. Geez, this is also my fault. Why I didn't ask him his first love. I wouldn't be like stupid in love - hurting my brother." Checking on her phone again she regretted a little when her brother's message came to view.

From Yul Oppa:

[Tomorrow. I want to see you at Yonsei's swimming Pool. After my class at 5pm. 

Don't see me if you haven't cooled down.]

Tossing the device instead, She lie on her chest and forget about the message. Tomorrow, she will have another long day to face. She won't ever go and see her brother.

A few minutes later, she heard her phone beeps again. Helplessly, she opened her phone and check on the message. Her heart just tugged, as she reads the message from Seohyun.

From Hyun Omma:

[Yoong, I so want to go where you are right now. But I know, you will only ignore me.You will only feel more terrible.

But I just want you to know, that there's nothing you should be jealous over your brother being my twins' father.

Because you know what? You are not just a friend to them anymore, you're their father already.

I think they have been seeing you as a father, Because you're always there for them, taking care of them like they're your real children.

Just like you've said, Danny had accepted you already. Shouldn't you feel proud? I, I feel so proud of you. And I feel so excited to see what's ahead us.

We maybe hurting Yul right now, but do we have a choice? I don't know, but I only wish for Yul to finally move on. And I know I am responsible for the closure he needed.

With that long message, Yoona can no longer feel a little doubtful with her relationship with Seohyun. It's as if the message heals her heart, she sighed and really kissed the screen, whispering, "I love you too baby. Thanks for your comforting words." She closes her eyes and put her phone next to her. As her mind is reviewing the words she just read from her beloved. It suddenly felt so good to sleep again - like nothing just happened.

Meanwhile, Yul who arrived in his condo -- was like the most broken-hearted person ever in the world. Her heart just shattered into pieces - like it won't be fix anymore. It won't be whole anymore? How come it feels so hard to accept the fact that Seohyun had move on? After this years? Well, he's just too hopeful Seohyun haven't forgotten him. Indeed, she hasn't - but her feelings were long gone. 

He felt like killing himself now.

He dropped on the floor, in his living room, silently wishing for his tears and heart will stop from responding. 

[Seo Apartment]

It was definitely another day - a new day for the three Seos, living comfortably in a small apartment. But unlike the normal peaceful morning, all of them woke up because - startled because of someone shouting and knocking on the main door aggressively.

"Twins, stay here, Okay? Don't go out." Seohyun immediately ask her twins to stay back in the room as she hurriedly fixed her hair and went out of the only room in the small apartment.

Daniel and Paul exchange gazes - both doesn't know what's happening. However, instead of minding it, Daniel suddenly burst into a tremendous laugh, realizing the circles of lip sticks she drew last night in around Paul's face.

Oblivious, Paul just raised his brows. "Why are you laughing, buddy? Aren't we suppose to follow Omma outside?" But before his brother could answer him, they heard their mother's voice outside, quickly giving them a reason to rush to the door and peek their head out.
