18 | Athena 2.2

Yoona let out a big yawn as soon as she got herself back to her seat, on Jessica's right side. She wanted to only stay at the Kwon's side because of the cheer she might do, but Jessica called out for her earlier, and she ends up being in her side. And she's quiet doubtful now if she ever cheers for her boss. Jessica might just laugh at her, or whatsoever reaction she doesn't want to see.

As the thought about cheering the young boss of her, her phone beeps out of a sudden. She sheepishly took it out from her pocket, whilst Jessica did not mind.

Unknown:

[I wanna see you cheer for me in the audience.

Otherwise, you're fired.

- Boss SeoTiger]

She did a scoff upon reading the message. And that made the girl next to her, stared at her.

"What's the problem?" Jessica ask, a bit weird with the sudden move from the doe-eyed.

Yoona sheepishly smiled. "Nothing." as she rubs the back of her head as well. "Um, but... Can I excuse for a while?"

"Wae? Where are you going? The race is about to start." Jessica stated fact. 

Yoona looked around, yet, she can't still see Seohyun in the race track. "I know, but I think I have to grab some snacks. What do you want me to get for you? I can see the Resort is providing snacks in the main gate." She reasoned, almost like audible.

"Chincha? Oh, You know my favorite Yoona." Jessica sweetly answered.

"Oh, Of course. I'll make sure to grab you some of it." Yoona smiled back, as she finally raise and hastily left her seat. Though not sure what kind of snack she is getting for herself, she rushes all the way to the main entrance and find some resort staff, giving snacks indeed. But Jessica's favorite is not there. So she just decided to grab those apple pies, not only for Jesssica but also for Seohyun. And before she could return to her seat, she visited the stable. Yet, she came across with Nicole rather. 

"Are you going to see your Boss?" ask Nicole, as she made her horse stop in front of her best friend. Yoona sighed, as she nodded. "Was the snacks for her?"

"Oh, Uh... Some of it. But There's for Director Jung as well." Yoona stated, smiling inwardly.

"But she's not inside anymore. Yuri-ssi and your boss have already left." Nicole just simply informed.

"Chincha? But I haven't seen them in the racing yard."

"I wasn't saying they're in there now. I was saying, in another place. You should just go back." Nicole corrected her sentence.

"I see... "

Nicole just shrugs, as she finally kick lightly her horse and made it walk -- passing by Yoona in the process. The doe-eyed girl somehow wasn't convince. So she continued. However, she was left empty. The large stable of horses is spotless with only grasses she can see around. Convinced, she went back to the audience area. Wherein, she gives the snacks to Jessica and excused for a comfort room. However, instead of going to the comfort room, she made sure she's unnoticed by Jessica. She did not went back to her original seat. Instead, she's at the upper part of the audience's area. In which, only few audiences are sitting. There, she waited for about 15 minutes before participants have finally came to their places. Seohyun was the last one though, with her white, tall and strong horse. 

"Wow. Perfect." Gorgeous. And there's no such thing she eventually noticed. Seohyun in an equestrian outfit didn't failed her. She was damn good looking. Especially when she smiled, waves and... wink (?) at her?

She quickly turned away and cheeks started to burn. "Aish." as then, she realized, she has to do her cheer. She looked back at Jessica, the girl was seen enjoying her snack. Basically, Seohyun's as well. But that was her cue. She did not turned to Seohyun anymore and just do the cheer, like what she did in front of her last night.

"S.E.. O... "

As she started to cheer, she did not realize her voice are a bit loud. Maybe due to sudden boost of confidence, when Seohyun gives her a thumbs up. However, it wasn't only Seohyun that noticed her from the audience, people are now turning their heads to her. Especially the participants, including  Nicole. And Jessica herself. 

Face really turned so red now. However, she did her best and continued until the end. She literally lowered herself to the bench, hiding. Much to her dismay, the audiences are starting to clap their hands. And as she peeked through the bench, she caught Seohyun also clapping her hands and shouting 'That's my assistant', 'My Yoonggator', and more shouts claiming that she is hers.

When her eyes landed back to Jessica, she pouted when she realized she made her feel a bit uneasy. Sighing, she continued hiding. She covered her ears so she can not hear any few whistles and shouts as well. 

Damn, this is so embarrassing. She keeps in whining and whining until she heard a cue that the race is starting, she finally sighed in relief. The attention is not on her. People are now shouting to their favorite equestrian.

She slowly went back to her seat and returned her attention to the race. There's a big screen in the side of the audience area, where they can see who's leading and not. And apparently, she can see Nicole, and on the third place, her boss. 

"Oh my. This is really a war." Mutters her softly. Suddenly, she heard her phone beeping, she fished it out and a message from Jessica can be read as;

Jessica:

[Why don't you go back here, now?]

Turning her head to where Jessica is sitting, She saw Jessica looked up to her. She decided to finally go back. 

"Hey." Smiling a bit weak, Yoona took her seat, next to the brown haired girl again. 

"Nicole is doing good." Jessica answered, rather.

"Yeah, I can see it." Yoona glanced to the screen. Seohyun is still lagging behind. She's now at the 4th place. "How many laps are there?" asks her, to no one in particular.

"I've heard 3 laps."

"Only?" Yoona exclaimed, didn't expect it. As she can see it through, the race track seemed a large. She can't see them even in their seats now.

"Yeah, since it's only One person who will win the race." Jessica proudly says, watching the screen with proud on her eyes. If ever, Nicole's promise will really coming true.

Yoona did not miss the girl's eyes. And she knows why. If ever, she would spend dinner with Jessica. A dinner date, precisely. But if Seohyun wins, she doesn't know what to expect. Knowing her boss, it would be a fighting dinner. Not some romantic dinner date as Jessica and Nicole are planning. It made her stomach quiet weird. She doesn't know what to expect between the two dinner, actually. All that she hoped, whoever wins, the loser will be sport. "Aigoo... " sighed her, audibly.

A couple of minutes that passes, Nicole is still the number one racer on her first lap. People are now shouting at Nicole, giving her cheers.Whilst, Seohyun is on the sixth place, there wasn't cheering for her. Yuri wasn't around the audience, so she's not sure if she's even cheering for her cousin. But Seohyun is doing her best to keep her horse run fast as much as she can. Thanks to the flying camera around, they can see who were the top 10 racers. And how is there horses doing.
