09 | Another Dilemma

 

A low groan was heard in a bedroom, that follows with a loud sigh... and a complete silence. But a couple of seconds that pass, the groan once again was heard. All of it came from a certain young mother, who is uncomfortable with the constant ringing of a phone. 

 

"Baby hubby, your phone... answer... it... please..." She mumbles, as she tries to pry her wife's hand away from her waist. But later, the doe-eyed's hand will crawl back again, not minding the ringing. That frustrates her. "Baby..." she whined and tried to pry her arms away again, but it returned for the nth time and it even tightened.

 

"Forget that... baby wife... " came Yoona's sweet response. She nuzzled her face more to Seohyun's neck and tangle their legs again. "It's still early to get up. I want to cuddle still baby wife~"

 

Seohyun let out a heavy sigh, and unconsciously blush a little, hearing that 'nickname' again. It has been 2 days now since the change of their nicknames. Things are getting better somehow - but the nickname just would always make her this feel so giddy. Maybe because it's cute and sweet. And to be honest, she's liking and loving it. She closes her eyes and doesn't mind the phone ringing continuously, as she hug her wife back. A big and bright smile slowly draws in her face, despite her wife being stubborn from getting up. Well, that voice from her just made everything great again. She wants to cuddle with her loving, sweeting and caring doe-eyed 'baby hubby'.

 

A couple of minutes later, the phone ringing stops but the alarm clock follows, causing for Yoona's groan this time. 

 

Seohyun opened her eyes again. "That means you really have to get up."

 

"What time is it anyway?" Yoona mumbles. Still stubborn from opening her deer like eyes.

 

"Um... " Seohyun pause as she move her eyes to the alarm clock, on top of the night stand. A big smile plastered in her face again when her eyes caught her and Yoona's weeding picture next to the alarm clock. "6:30am baby hubby. The kids are probably up now." she informed her and kiss her closing eyes.

 

Opening her eyes slowly, Yoona's blink slowly for a couple of times before she decided to close them again. "One more kiss, baby wife. I'm not yet fully awake." asking for another one.

 

"You're taking advantage." Seohyun giggles, yet she kiss Yoona's eyes.

 

Yoona still not satisfied, she pointed to her nose. Seohyun willingly kiss her nose, whispering - "I know where is this going. So just get up before I could tickle you instead." or a warn instead for her partner.

 

Yoona's eyes opened and she kiss Seohyun's lips lightly instead. "There - I know my day would be so good... Good morning baby wife~"

 

"Good-" Seohyun pause when she heard Yoona's phone ringing once again. "Good your phone is ringing. And of course, we will have a good day because we're about to go out again with the kids." she continued in a playful way. She peck affectionately at the doe-eyed girl's lips too before getting out of the bed and proceeds to the bathroom.

 

Yoona followed suit. Yet, she picked up her phone and press the answer button, as she proceeds to part the curtains in their balcony. "Lawyer Kim, What's up?" She slide the door and walked out to the balcony.

 

[Good morning Miss Im. I'm so sorry for my unnoticed call - but I have mention this already the last will and testament -- after your father's funeral.]

 

Yoona pulled a chair and take her seat before answering, "Yeah, I remember. So what is this all about?" a huge yawn appeared in her face afterwards. Her left hand rubs her knuckles momentarily.

 

[Are you available today?]

 

"Of course.... Oh, hold on. Um, the family has a plan for the day. I mean, we're going to a zoo later." Yoona hesitantly inquired the old man.

 

[You've met the current president of the company, right?]

 

"Mr. Lee Jun Ki? We had a chat during the funeral. He's friendly." Yoona smiled, recalling the last time she had a talk with the man.

 

[Well, since the current position of CEO is vacant, the other members of the board are asking him to take it. Honestly, he has a big share in the company for at least 30% - that's why it's not a surprise some are favoring him. And you know what? he bring a lot of investors to the company... This isn't good, Yoona. Because if the majority of them will voted him to the position, he can own the company... Yoona, like I've mentioned before, you're the only daughter and will take responsibly whatever is happening in your father's company. Your father have the highest share somehow, since he is the one who built this and got a lot of supporters too. But without him right now, there's no leader. His supporters would definitely change and support who is currently active. So... I'm calling because I want to express my concern over the current situation of your father's company. And also... if ever, let's meet - to talk about your father's last will and testament.]

 

Speechless - Yoona sighed and feels like the back of her head is shivering. This had been in her head for a few times, she didn't expect it would really happen. But it made sense - after what happened to her father. She blinks and bit her lower lip, trying to think to reply, but she failed miserably.

 

[I know it's surprising - But I assure you, you have me and few of the company's executive directors. We'll guide you about this matter.]

 

'I don't have any idea about business. What the heck is this.' Yoona's thoughts, as she put her left hand to her head and rub her hair - feeling in trouble.

 

[Listen, you don't have to be good at handling a business, all you have to do is understanding. You know, on how this works... with that, you can save your father's company. Oh, why not ask your brother? He knows everything about business, right?]

 

"My brother has his own work - I don't think I can bother him." Yoona's lips pouted. "Or I don't think I can let a Kwon know about the situation of my father's company."

 

[Your wife's parents. They're one of the shareholders. We can approach them in regards to this matter.]

 

"They have their own problem with their company-"

 

[Actually, shareholders can vote too. So might as well, you have their vote already. That's if, you'll act as CEO and take the company as owned by an Im still.]

 

"Lawyer Kim, you know I'm a celebrity. I have my schedules already in the line next month. Isn't that... tiring for me?" Yoona almost forgot her hectic schedule next month. And with another problem regardless to the Im Company, she couldn't seem to see herself as a CEO.

 

[As much as I want to offer this to one of your cousins, I don't think it's a good idea. It's your father's company. No one else will take the responsibility. So please... think about this.]

 

"O... Okay. I'll think about it."

 

[You have only until Friday.]

 

Yoona feels like crying now - but she shrug the thoughts and replied, "I'll make sure before Friday I have my decision already." She was a bit reluctant. But hopefully, whatever will be her decision, she will not regret it.

 

[Okay. Have a nice day Miss Im. Again, I apologize for calling so early. I'm still at home, but I don't want to go to work without telling you this yet. Otherwise, I will have the tendency to forget. hehe...]

 

Yoona smiled, somehow. "It's okay, Lawyer Kim. I understand your situation. I honestly have to thank you because it's you that is doing all the works. My father is really lucky to have you as his lawyer and the company's."

 

[No need to say. I and your father are best of friends - of course, I would protect the stuffs he left. Anyway, I'll hang up now. Have a nice day again, Miss Im.]

 

"You too, Lawyer Kim." Yoona muttered and ended the call. And with that, she got up and held her head, pacing back and forth momentarily - thinking about her father's company.

 

Seohyun who just walked out the bathroom, in a bathrobe went straight to the balcony when she realized the sliding door was open. "Hey, are you okay?" But only to wonder what's going on to her wife. "Have you check on the kids?"

 

Yoona stopped from walking and face the younger girl. "Yoonie, Paul and Daniel?"

 

"Yes. But wait, something is happening to you - tell me what is it, baby hubby." Seohyun smiled sweetly, hoping it will make her wife say whatever is in her head.

 

Yoona pulled a chair near her wife and ushered her to sit down. The latter complied, and she also does the same. "Lawyer Kim called - telling me the situation in the company. He wanted to ask for a meeting to discuss about this and to discuss my father's last will and testament." She informed without a doubt.

 

"Let me guess - It's about the CEO position?" said Seohyun softly.

 

Yoona nodded. "He wanted me to take the position rather than the company's president. But wait, How'd you know?"

 

"Father mentioned it yesterday. He actually ask me to talk about this with you because He's also concern over your father's company." 

 

"So... what shall I do? Because you know what? I'm between my work as an actress and this position. It's hard to leave my work as an actress, knowing that I've work for it, and really it's my dream... but... I can't also fail my father. He had worked to build that company. I couldn't see someone else would own it that easy."

 

Reaching for her lover's hand, Seohyun gently squeezes her hand. "Another dilemma?"

 

"It looks like, my baby wife." Yoona pout her lips, letting out her aegyo in the process.

 

Seohyun's toes literally curled, as she grimaced. "Seriously stop with the aegyo. I so want to punch you!"

 

"You can't, because I'm your baby hubby~" Yoona stuck her tongue out playfully. She eventually pushed herself away from Seohyun, before the girl would really punch her. But she was wrong, Seohyun just simply blushed and stare at her sternly. "Well, let's talk about my delimma again later. We should prepare now for the zoo trip." She got up and lowered her head to kiss her wife's cheeks. Seohyun kiss her back and also stand on her feet - taking her hand as they left to their room, and leave eventually.

 

Heck, just as they had exited, a maid approached them.

 

"Miss Im, Your new manager is in the living room." Informing them with a surprise guest.

 

Yoona and Seohyun exchange gazes. Seohyun's eyebrows raised especially - as if asking her wife 'What is your manager doing so early in the mansion?'

 

"I don't know why she's here but... let's wake up the kids first." Yoona didn't waste a single second and drag her wife to the next room, waking up the three little kiddos.

 

 

[Kitchen]

 

 

Daniel is letting out such a huge yawn as he made his way inside the kitchen. Despite being awake a couple of minutes earlier, he did not mind and went back to his sleep. Whilst, Yoo Hyun and his twin Paul have completely woke up and showered immediately.

 

He smiled so big the moment the aroma from the food greets him inside.

 

"Whoa, is that my favorite, Omma?" He grinned.

 

"Of course, baby. Good morning~ You should eat breakfast now." Seohyun greeted with such glee.

 

Paul, who is sitting on a chair across their mother, turned to face his twin. "Buddy, you haven't showered?" and realized his brother is still on his pajama. He and his sister have even change to their clothes.

 

"I just woke up. Where's Yoonie and Daddy?" Daniel noticed also the kitchen has his mother, the chef and Paul. 

 

"Daddy and Yoonie are in the living room with... " Paul did not mind finishing his words anymore, as soon as his twin brother have rushed out. He turned to face his mother, the latter has a grin creeping her face. "You have the same thing in mind with me, Omma?"

 

"Let's wait later." Seohyun giggles.

 

Meanwhile, Daniel have reached the living room's door - he didn't think twice and reach for it, open and enter the room, excitedly. "DADDY!!! HELP ME SHOWER!!!" Heck, he stopped, eyes widened and freeze in front of them when he realized there's a guest.

 

"Oh, hey Daniel. Long time no see. How are you doing?" Wendy greeted with her sweet smile.

 

Yoona was about to greet her son as well but Daniel have hurriedly run out the living room - almost like a speed of the light.

 

"What? What just happened?" Wendy confusedly looked at Yoona.

 

The doe-eyes girl raised her shoulders, doesn't have any idea. "But hold on. Can you look over Yoonie first? I'll follow him."

 

"Sure, Yoona." Wendy smiled again. But this time, to Yoo Hyun, who is apparently on the floor, playing with her figures of letters. The latter is so cute dress in a pink dress and pink socks.

 

Yoona stand on her feet and casually exited the room. She almost jump in surprise when she saw Daniel sitting on the floor, cupping his cheek.

 

"Did she just greet me and smile at me? Wae? But she is really friendly. She seems nice too." Daniel is mumbling Yoona couldn't believe it came from the kidwolf.

 

A playful smile curled into Yoona's lips as she lowered herself and sat down next to him. Daniel turned to look at her, surprised.

 

"When you first met me, You feel like skinning me alive. Now, you just met another stranger, just like before - its like you have seen the prettiest Angel alive. Kidwolf, isn't that an insult to Daddy?" 

 

Daniel stand on his knees and put his palm on top of his Daddy's forehead. "You are not having fever aren't you, Daddy?" He questioned.

 

Yoona put Daniel’s hand away. "And why would I have? I know what I am asking you." She is grinning.

 

"Because you're thinking non sense!"

 

"Eh?" 

 

Daniel sat down on the floor again, with his legs cross. "You and Wendy Noona are not the same. Wendy Noona is like Seohyun Omma. They're both beautiful, So I think I should behave. And for your information Daddy, You're just like me. So... hehe... " He sheepishly rub the back of his head, couldn't continue his words anymore when his Daddy's face turned a bit dark. Before he knows it, he was tickle. He quickly got up and run away.

 

"Yah! Go and shower yourself!" Yoona yelled, instructing her son. She also stand on her feet, and tried to catch him, but Daniel quickly run upstairs. She stopped and just let him run up there until the latter stopped just on the last step, turning to face her.

 

"But I don't like to shower alone! Please come with me, Daddy!!!" Daniel whined tremendously.

 

"I won't go with you! Manager Son is waiting! And Yoonie is there also!"

 

"So you would rather be with her? Come on, Daddy!!!" Daniel wailed.

 

"Eh? I thought you have crush with Manager Son? Do you want me to tell her you want to shower with the help of your Daddy? Eh?" Yoona teased victoriously.

 

Daniel couldn't think of anything to reply. So she end up dragging his feet forcefully back to the room. He intentionally slams the door as soon as he was inside. He has no choice but to shower alone. He can't let his Daddy tell Manager Son that he showers without his Daddy or Omma.

 

Yoona outside giggles. But quickly went back to the living room upon hearing her maknae crying.

 

"What happened?" She asked Wendy who was in a panic mood. She picked up her maknae immediately in her arms.

 

"I-i just pick up one of the letters. She suddenly cried." Informed Wendy, literally was surprised.

 

"Aigoo, what letter did you pick up?" Yoona keeps on rubbing her hand at Yoonie's back to stop her from crying. "Shshsh... stop it now baby."

 

"The pink one. Letter S." Wendy obliviously replied. "Why?"

 

Yoona mentally face-palmed. "She doesn't like anyone to touch every letter that is pink color. So yeah, she cried when you move it or pick it." 

 

"Eh?"

 

"What else did you do?" Yoona suspected it wasn't just about moving her maknae's letters.

 

Wendy looked down to the floor, where letters are scattered. "I've honestly hide one of the letters as well. She keeps on looking to it - accusing me a thief while crying... until she found it behind me in the couch. Um, it's a letter O. Its also a pink one. Thats when she started crying a lot."

 

"I... I'll just bring her out first." Yoona decided to bring Yoonie out of the living room, while Wendy was left sighing in relief. She took the opportunity and pick up the letters and gather it one place.

 

Meanwhile, outside, Yoona took her maknae to the kitchen.

 

"What on earth - Why is she crying?" Seohyun frowned. She immediately take the bottle milk in the corner of the table and give it to the latter.

 

"Wendy doesn't know about her rule. I mean, she hides her letters, that's why she's crying." Yoona informed, as she transferred their maknae to her wife's arms.

 

"Shshshs... baby stop crying. Manager Son won't take it anymore." Seohyun comforted, while she started to dance the latter. Yoo Hyun have slowly calm down, while drinking on her milk.

 

Yoona pulled a chair next to Paul, watching her wife coaxing their maknae so easily. She knows how to do it also, but things like that, it's her wife that can calm her down.

 

"Daddy, where's my buddy?" Paul asked, realizing the absence of his twin. They do heard shouts outside, but did not expect he did not come with their Daddy.

 

"Daniel?"

 

"Yes." 

 

Yoona was about to open but decided to close it again when Wendy's voice was heard.

 

"I'm sorry." The latter walked into the kitchen with a bow to Seohyun, who was still comforting the maknae. "It was my fault Yoonie is not in the mood."

 

"Um, it's okay Manager Son. We didn't tell you about her yet - So it's not surprising she'll be like this. No need to say sorry." Yoona said, as she stood up and held Wendy's shoulders.

 

"Thank You. I've learn my mistake." Wendy sheepishly replied, as she awkwardly smile. "Don't worry, I won't move any letters of Yoonie anymore." And promise at the same time.

 

"Just do your part as a manger." Yoona told her new manager instead.

 

"Oh, Before anything else. I'm going with you guys."

 

Seohyun and Paul frowned. "What?" as they reacted together.

 

"I mean, I am going to the zoo as well. Yoona is a celebrity. I couldn't let any fan approach her - right? So I have to protect her." Wendy smiled so friendly, hoping her artists' family will understand.

 

But instead of any response, Seohyun just put on a smile and left the kitchen with Yoonie already dozing off to sleep.

 

"It's okay, right Paul?"

 

Paul just flash his innocent smile, and decided to finish preparing the family's bento - he had been working with the help of the mansion's chef.

 

"It's also okay for my wife, don't worry." Yoona answered in behalf of Seohyun.

 

"I hope so. It seems that Mrs. Im is not okay, Yoona-ssi." Wendy whispers to Yoona, causing for her to giggle.
