On the next day when SinB opened her eyes she was alone in her bed. She patted the mattress hoping to feel Umji around but she was definitely alone in the bed.

She turned around and grabbed her phone, it was time for her to wake up before school. She sat up and regretted it as her head was spinning. SinB barely slept this night as she kept thinking. She felt like she was broken again, like just after Jackson molested her for the first time. SinB felt like her world was falling apart, like she could never overcome this.

Jackson had the power on her, the power to break her life, and he did it again. He was always taking her happiness away and breaking her dreams. She felt like vomiting. She stood up and went the bathroom.

Her tummy hurt, she wanted to vomit but nothing was coming out and it was hurting her stomach even more. Suddenly she felt a hand on her back, a reassuring hand.

“Breath slowly.” whispered Umji as she caressed her back slowly making the nauseous feeling calm down.

SinB sighed and sat down on the floor of her bathroom.

“I can’t go back there…” she said and Umji hesitated. “I don’t think I can even go out right now…” said SinB tears in her eyes.

Umji helped her stood up and took her in the room to sat her on the bed.

“Hey... it’s okay...” said Umji. “If you don’t feel good you can stay home today.”  

“Really?” asked SinB scared her eyes full of tears.

“Yeah…” said Umji with a reassuring tone. “I will stay home and take care of you.”

SinB hesitated as she brushed some tears away from her face. “But you will miss school…”

“I don’t care as long as you need me I will stay with you…” answered Umji and SinB jumped in her best friend’s arms.

When SinB calmed down a little they went downstairs and ate breakfast. SinB was playing with her food.

“You have to eat.” said Umji like she saw talking to a kid.

SinB looked up at her. “I’m not hungry…”

“Eat.” insisted Umji and SinB sighed before starting to eat a little.

“What about tonight?” asked suddenly SinB.

“Dance school?” asked back Umji and SinB nodded. “Do you want to go? We could tell Jiyoon unnie about Jackson?” said Umji with hope. Telling an adult about all this could help them.

SinB stayed silent and forced herself to take another bit of her food. Umji hesitated but decided to insist. “If we tell her it could help… I think it would be good to have someone more mature than us to handle this situation, it lasted for so long and we couldn’t help you or protect you…” said Umji sadly as she realised SinB wasn’t safe as long as Jackson was around.

“I don’t know…” said SinB not sure. “I’m not sure I’m okay with Jiyoon unnie knowing what Jackson… did to me…” she said a little ashamed.

Umji sighed and came closer to hugger best friend. “I understand, we won’t tell her if you don’t want.” she said and SinB nodded. After a moment of silence, Umji let go of SinB and cleaned the table. SinB barely eat but at least she drank some orange juice.

“We will all come with you tonight at the dance school, it will be safer.” said Umji as she started cleaning the dishes.

“I don’t want to dance anymore…” just said SinB looking down.

Umji suddenly turned around to look at SinB. “What?”

“I don’t want to dance anymore Umji…” repeated SinB seriously.

Umji shook her head. “No no, you’re just confused about everything that happened, you love to dance, it will be okay. Dancing helped you a lot recently.” said Umji rinsing the dishes and putting them to dry beside the sink. She knew that SinB was just confused right now.

SinB shook her head. “No…”

Umji dried her hands and came back at the table to sit in front of SinB. “But are you sure? this project it good for you, we can do something to take Jackson out of it I swear.” insisted Umji but SinB stood up suddenly, having her chair falling on the floor behind her.

“I don’t want to dance anymore!” she repeated louder and Umji swallowed hard. SinB calmed down and looked down. “I can’t.” she added less loud but coldly and Umji nodded.

“Okay, I will go there and tell Jiyoon you can’t do it.” said Umji not wanting to upset SinB again. “I will let Sowon know you’re not going to school today.” she added and SinB nodded.

“Tell her not to come... I don’t feel like seeing anyone today…” answered SinB coldly before going back to her room without another word.

Umji was a little shocked, she looked at the chair that was still on the floor. SinB was so cold and closed, she wasn’t herself anymore… Umji messaged Sowon telling her to go to school without passing by and that they would go to the dance school tonight to tell Jiyoon that SinB wouldn’t do the showcase.

Sowon tried to have more informations but Umji just told her they would talk face to face after school.

SinB spend all day in the room, not even coming down to eat. Umji once again felt powerless, she didn’t know what to do to help her best friend. SinB changed, she wasn’t reacting the same way than before. Umji tried to knock at the door and asked her to come out to eat or watch tv together but SinB just shut Umji out saying she doesn’t want to do anything right now and want to be left alone.

SinB was closing up even to Umji and it was scaring her. Umji looked at the food on the table that she made for SinB hoping that she would come down. She sighed as she put the stuff into the fridge and washed up the dishes again.

Umji sighed again and went upstair once again, she knocked on the door but didn’t get any answer, she slowly opened the door and find SinB asleep with her phone lying beside her. SinB moved and the phone was about to fell so Umji walked in and took it, but as she touched it, the screen lightened and Umji saw a pic. It was a pic of Yerin.

Umji bit her lips and locked the screen before putting the phone gently on the nightstand not making any noises. After leaving the room discreetly to let SinB sleep Umji went back in the living room and sat on the couch, Sowon would arrive soon.

Umji checked her phone, seeing if her classmates send her the homework of the lessons she missed but her mailbox was empty, she sighed and let her head fell against the couch looking at the ceiling.

After a while, she heard the doorbell rang, Umji got up and went to open the door.

“Hey Umji.” said Sowon as she walked in. Umji nodded and looked confused.

“Eunha’s not with you?”

Sowon shook her head. “No, she has to do something with her dad.” explained Sowon then she put down her school bag. “What happened with SinB?”

Umji frowned. “Not good… since yesterday…” said Umji lowly but as she was going to explain, they heard someone at the stairsteps.

Sowon smiled and went toward SinB to hug her. “SinB are you okay? I’m worried about you.” said nicely the tall girl.

SinB lightly pushed Sowon away. “No I’m not okay… How can I be after everything that happened again…”

“We understand.” said Umji hoping she could talk some sense into SinB now that the girl finally left her room.

“No you don’t.” answered SinB coldly and Umji looked down.

Sowon frowned. “We try to understand SinB but we need you to talk with us…”

SinB sighed. “I’m tired of talking…”

Umji walked closer and wanted to take SinB’s hand in hers but SinB pushed her away too. “SinB…” said Umji sadly as she felt rejected by her best friend. “As you are here, come eat something. You need energy.” said Umji but SinB shook her head.

“Umji stop telling me what to do now.” said SinB determined. “I’m tired of this, of all this, just leave me alone now.” she said coldly as she was about to walk back upstair.

Umji looked down again as tears were coming to her eyes. Sowon saw that Umji was really hurt and sad because of SinB attitude and Sowon really didn’t liked how SinB was talking to Umji after everything Umji did for her till now.

Sowon couldn’t take it and stopped SinB by catching her arm. “That’s enough SinB. I know you are unhappy, I know you still didn’t recover from what happened, and that your friendship with Yerin is going nowhere right now, but you can’t just put all your frustration on Umji... She’s your best friend, she’s your sister…” said Sowon seriously but SinB sighed and freed her arm from Sowon’s grip.

“I just want you all to leave me alone, I need to breath, I need to think for myself.” answered SinB frowning.

Sowon shook her head disappointed. “After everything Umji did for you, I think you should be more appreciative of her friendship SinB.” said Sowon coldly then she took Umji’s hand in hers. “But if that’s what you really want, we will leave you alone, we are leaving now.” said Sowon then she dragged Umji and left the house by slamming the door leaving SinB standing there.

So here is the new chapter for this week!

This chapter is mostly about SinB coping with what happened to her once again and how she try to manage it all this time... Maybe not by the best way as she close up to her best friend...
