The house was suddenly very calm. SinB went to her room and Umji followed her. SinB cleaned around and found Yuju y dress on the corner of the bed, she smiled. Umji looked at her as she folded it with a smile on her lips.

“So?” asked Umji tilting her head still looking at SinB who put the dress on her desk. “I’m waiting for some explanations…” insisted Umji.

SinB shook her shoulders. “What do you mean?” she asked not really understanding what her best friend wanted to know.

“About Yuju of course.” said Umji sitting on the bed.

SinB frowned at her best friend. “What about Yuju?” she asked. “She’s fun and pretty, don’t tell me you don’t like her!” said SinB laughing before sitting beside Umji.

“You’re pretty close to her right?” she asked with hesitation in her voice.

SinB nodded. “Yeah, she make me feel less lonely, she give me a feeling that she’s protecting me, you know when I arrived in this school I only knew her so I kind of got closer to her without thinking but I don’t regret it, she’s awesome!” explained SinB, she could talk about Yuju all night if Umji wanted to hear more about the girl.

But Umji just nodded. “I see.” she said looking down before looking at SinB’s eyes.

SinB smiled. “Oh, I know why you ask about Yuju and I!” said SinB standing up on the bed.

“Oh really?” asked Umji smiling because SinB started jumping on the bed like a kid.

SinB nodded and took Umji hands in hers, making the girl stood up and jump with her. “You’re jealous!!” said Sinb laughing. “But don’t worry, you will always be my best friend!!!” said SinB excitedly as they jumped even more.

SinB finally felt on the bed taking Umji with her in her fall. The two girls laughed even more. SinB turned her head to Umji and hugged her before sitting back on the bed. “Really, nobody will replace you Umji-ya.” said SinB sincerely. “You’re like the sister I never had.” she explained. “You have a special place in my heart and you will always be here.” she said her hand on her chest.

Umji smiled, she knew SinB was saying the truth, they knew each other since so long now, that nothing could separate them, but it wasn’t what Umji was worried about.

“I know you won’t replace me, you pabo!” said Umji hitting SinB’s head playfully. Sinb pouted and Umji kept making fun of her. “No seriously, what’s up with this girl?” asked again Umji. “You two seem too close to just be friends.” added Umji looking at SinB with a smile.

But SinB frowned. “What are you talking about?” she asked a little upset. “Why is everybody thinking that?” asked SinB crossing her arms on her chest rethinking what Yerin said about Yuju and her the other day. “Can’t two girl be close friend without any weird thoughts behind?” she asked and Umji swallowed hard, knowing that she stepped on a mine.

“Okay… mianhe SinB…” she said feeling guilty, she didn’t wanted to upset the girl.

SinB sighed. “No, sorry, it’s not your fault.” said SinB realizing she was stupid to be mean to her best friend. “I just don’t want people to judge me, Yuju is my friend, we’re pretty close, yes, we like to be around each other, what’s wrong?” she asked. “I don’t want people to imagine false stuff about our friendship.” she added and Umji nodded. “She’s there for me when I need her, I don’t want to lose her because of what people may think…It’s already hard for me to believe a girl like her is friend with me, I don’t want to think too much about it.”

“I get it, I’m sorry SinB.” repeated Umji. “You’re right, maybe I think too much!” she said smiling. “I was just happy that you would date someone!” joked Umji and pushed SinB on the bed before hitting her with the pillow. “I thought miss studies would finally let a door open for love!” she said teasing her friend. SinB laughed, it was true that SinB was never in love before. She never was interested in anyone, she was just focusing on studies, that was something she was good at.

“Are you kidding me?” she asked to Umji before rolling her best friend in the blanket and laughing at her best friend looking like a cute caterpillar. “Love make people do crazy stuff!” she added as Umji freed herself for the rolled blanket to attack SinB again with the pillow.  

“But, seriously, Umji-ah, don’t think too much. We are just friend, close friend or maybe even BEST FRIEND!!” teased SinB while throwing the pillow into Umji face.

Umji stood up and started to attack SinB like no tomorrow. “You better let me know, if you ever have a crush on someone, SinB!” said Umji in which SinB nodded.

“Same goes to you, buddy!”

“Anyways, other than Yuju, did you meet any other people?” asked Umji in which SinB think a bit and nodded happily. “Oh yeah! I met a biochem girl! She’s super nice and pretty!!! She even bought me a set of clothing because she thought she dirtied mime….OH MY GOD!!!!” suddenly screamed SinB which shocked Umji.

“Wae?! Why are you screaming like this?!” asked Umji.

“Yerin!!! She saved me at the club and we just left without saying anything to her!!Oh my god!! I am such a terrible person!!” said SinB panicking.

“Wait what? Save you from what?” asked Umji trying to calm SinB down to get the full story.

“We went clubbing and there was a guy that kept going behind me trying to dance with me and obviously I wasn’t comfortable so Yerin saved me from him! She was so cool!!! She’s like my savior!” said SinB all happily in which Umji smiled, she was glad that SinB met all kind of good people that protect her. SinB always looked tough on the outside but inside, she was a crybaby who needed people to protect her.

Umji slowly caressed SinB arm. “Okay, okay, little baby girl, calm down. Monday, you will go meet that Yerin-si, and say thank you and apologize for leaving without notice. I’m sure she will be fine with it, ok? Calm down my baby girl.” teased Umji in which SinB pouted but just nodded.

They ended up eating pizzas and watching movies a good part of the night before finally falling asleep. The next day, Umji waited for SinB’s parents to come back, she greeted them, they hadn’t see the girl since a long time and were happy to see SinB had still good frequentations. Especially SinB’s mother who liked Umji a lot and was reassured to know her daughter was with this girl than with other people that make them go out at night.
