After that outing, SinB got scolded by her parents since she got home late. It was past 10pm when she got home. As SinB slowly get into the house, she was praying that her parents were asleep. But who was she kidding with. It’s her own parents, of course her mom would still be awake waiting for her delinquent daughter to be home before she could go to bed.

As she slowly closed the door and walked in, she saw a silhouette on the sofa waiting for her.

“SinB.” she heard someone calling her with a cold angry voice. Her whole body spine was freezing from that icy sound. Of course, it was her mother...who else could make her freeze like that.

She tries to pretend that nothing happened. “Oh! Umma, you scared me! What are doing up at this hour?! Aren’t you tired?” said SinB.

“Ah, at this hour? So you do know what time it is! Why are you home so late?!” asked her mother with an icy tone.

“Mianhe Umma, I went out with some friends and didn’t realize the time...I will be more careful next time” confessed SinB.

“Next time?! There’s no more next time! Who was it that you hang out with?! It wasn’t your group of friend isn’t it! You would all have been home by 8 if it was them!” said her mom raising her voice once again.

“No mommy, it wasn’t them...It was just some friends that I met at school..” says SinB with a lower voice.

“Is it that Yuju girl that you met during summer?! She’s a bad influence, you should stop hanging with her!” her mom says that as she stand up.

“But mommy!! I’m in university now… it’s hard to keep that curfew!!!” SinB try to argue with her mom.

“Since when do you talk back to me?! ARG!! Did I make a bad decision for sending you to this public school!? You listen to me SinB, it better not happened again or I will have you transfer school! Araso?! You need to focus in your study, that’s the most important thing in your life. Later on in the future, you will have as much time as you want to play around! Now, I don’t want to hear anything more, go shower and go to bed, you have tutoring class in a few hours!” then her mom walked away leaving SinB in the living room.

The next morning, SinB woke up and went down to the kitchen. As usual, the food was already in the kitchen. Her parents went to work already. She sighed, she ate her breakfast and went out to her tutoring class.

After class, she got a message from Yuju asking her to hang out in the evening. She sighed, not wanting to get in trouble with her mother. Therefore, she responded that she couldn’t come and that she will make it up to her another day.

When she got home, she opened her school bag and start working on her homework that was due in a few week. She always prefered to finish her work beforehand so that she won’t be last minute. This is something that was taught by her mother when she was small. There was once, when she was still in grade school, there was a homework that she put it off to do and only realize the night before it was due. She got into a one hell of beating by her mom. After that night, SinB never did any work on last minute.

It was around 7pm when she finally closed her book to take a rest. She heard her tummy grumble and she grinned, “Ah..it’s already 7pm...I should go cook something…” She went down to the kitchen and open the fridge, but to her disappointment there was nothing interesting in there for her to make. She sighed, and went to open a drawer and get a pack of instant noodle. As she went to boil some water, her doorbell was ringing. “Hm..did mommy forget her key?” then she quickly ran to open the door. To her surprise, it was Yuju.

“Hi SinB!” said Yuju smiling at her.

SinB was so surprised to see her in front of her house. “Yuju?! What are you doing here? Didn’t you have an event tonight?” responded SinB.

“Yeahhh, but it’s not as fun if you are not there! So I decided to pass by to see you. Did you eat yet? I hope not because I brought a lot of snack! “ exclaimed Yuju showing a bag full of food to SinB.

“Food?! Oh my god! I am dying of hunger, come in come in!!” said SinB as she dragged Yuju into her house.

They walked to the kitchen and set the table. Yuju brought McDonald. SinB couldn’t stop herself from opening the bag and start to munch on the french fries which earned a laugh from Yuju.

“Yah! You pig! What is this?! I got you food and you start to eat without me?!” Yuju scolded SinB while pouting.

“Ehh! Mi..a..nhe, I’m ju..st so hung..a..ry” responded SinB with full of fries.

“Yah!!! Don’t talk with your mouth full!” Yuju smacked SinB which earned a pout from SinB.

Then they laughed at each other and devoured their supper.

Yuju looked around her house. “You know it’s the first time that I’ve been inside your house! It’s very big and nice in here! Where’s your family?” she asked inspecting around, looking at the furnitures and decorations.

“They went to work..usually I’m just home alone” said SinB with a sad smile.

Yuju patted her head. “You must have been lonely! Don’t worry I will always be here for you! I promise!” said Yuju sincerely.

SinB smiled at the latter comment. “Jinja?! Promise?!” she put her finger out “Pinky promise?!”

Yuju giggle at SinB cute act. “Yes, pinky promise” said Yuju sealed their promise with their pinky.
