After her hangout with Sowon and Yerin, SinB went back home, she walked straight to her room and closed the door, she let herself fall in her bed and sighed loudly. She kept thinking about Yuju and how close she was to spend time with her again.

She turned around and faced the ceiling, she had to admit that Jackson was a good help today, if he hadn’t insisted, Yuju would have probably ignored her again. But since he was here, Yuju talked to her, maybe he was serious when he told SinB he wanted to help them. SinB wasn’t a big fan of him, he could be rude sometimes, he acted like everyone liked him and SinB really didn’t liked his attitude most of the time but he wasn’t a bad guy.

He was just too confident and selfish. SinB was lost, why would he help her and Yuju be friends again? Would he benefit him? does he really care about their friendship? maybe Yuju is really sad because of SinB and that why he seems so concerned with all this…

SinB sighed again. She was asking herself too much questions, she was unsure about everything except that he definitely tried to help her today.

Was it enough to trust him? wondered SinB as she turned around and took her phone. Maybe... not trusting him for now but accepting his help? SinB was dying to see Yuju again, to talk to her and to spend time with her like before.

If Jackson could help, SinB had to give it a try. She sat on her bed and opened Jackson previous message to type an answer.

“Hi Jackson, this is SinB, I wanted to thank you for your help today, at least Yuju talked a little to me and it’s because of you. It’s nice of you to want to help us, Yuju is a very important friend to me and I don’t want to lose her… Have a nice evening, thanks again:)”  

SinB re-read her message and wondered if she did the right thing, it was so weird to talk with Jackson like that. They really were not that close, she got cut in her thought as she got an answer.

“Hey! No problem beautiful, I hate seeing my girl and her friends sad, if I can help I will do it! We are all friends after all!;)”

SinB took her phone and typed another message.

“Do you know if she’s even more mad at me now...?” asked SinB to the boy, she felt like Jackson was a spy, because of him she could know at least how was Yuju and that was already a lot for her.

“She kept mumbling about how she hates Yerin, but she’s okay now.”

SinB read the message and sighed she was about to answer him when he send another message.

“She hates Yerin but she really likes you, don’t worry she will get back to you and I will help! We will find a way SinB!:)”

SinB smiled, for once it felt good to have an ally right now, someone close to Yuju. Someone Yuju trusted and would listen to.

“Thank you Jackson that means a lot to me, I’m not sure I could thank you enough for your help…” shyly replied SinB.

“No need to thank me, that’s what friends are for right?;) I’m happy, I hope that you will finally see that I’m not here to take your friend away and finally be more comfortable around me! Yuju told me you were scared she would neglect you for me and I just want everyone to be happy together:)”

SinB was surprised by Jackson words, was he really caring about Yuju’s friends, about her and Yuju’s relationship. SinB hesitated, was he just nice so she would accept him and be comfortable with him? SinB looked at her phone, what could she answer to that…Her phone vibrated before she thought of an answer. Jackson was fast at texting.

“I’m not helping to look nice in your eyes, it’s just that you’re Yuju’s best friend and I’m her boyfriend, we should definitely get close and help each other when it comes to Yuju:)”

SinB nodded at herself before answering him.

“Yeah, you’re right, we need to team up and do everything to make Yuju happy.” replied SinB and just after some second her phone vibrated again with a message from Jackson.

“Great! I’m very happy we think the same about all this!:) Don’t hesitate to come talk to me if you need anything, I’m here for you SinB;)”

SinB smiled, maybe Jackson was right, maybe together they would make Yuju stop being mad. Maybe with his help SinB could be friend with Yuju again. SinB was happy, she even started to think about Jackson and how nice he was actually, Yuju was right about him. He was a nice guy, SinB just needed to open up to him and try to know him better… SinB was sure they could be good friends, Jackson and her wanted Yuju happy, they both wanted the same thing, they both cared about the same person that was at least one important thing they had in common.

SinB let herself fall back again her mattress and she sighed again but with relief this time. She sat back again when the door opened slowly. Her mother poked her head around the door and smiled as she saw SinB there.

“Though you were resting or studying, didn’t want to bother you.” said her mother as she entered and sat on the bed beside SinB.

SinB smiled at her and hugged her. “How was your day omma?” asked SinB missing her parents, they were away often theses days and with school and drama she wasn’t much at home either.

“Stressing honey like always.” answered the woman with a smile. “What about yours?” she asked back.

“Was good.” just said SinB, not wanting to elaborate more.

“You’re not going at Umji’s house this weekend right?” asked SinB’s mom curious. SinB looked at her confused, would her mother forbid her to go there now, Umji was her only escape… “You’ve been there so much these days.”

SinB swallowed hard. “Yeah you know we’re not in the same school so it’s nice to spend as much time as we can together…We study together too.” said SinB and it was true, Umji was her rock, the person that was always holding her in bad moments.

Sowon and Yerin were good but Umji was special, she knew her by heart and knew exactly how to deal with SinB. “Please omma don’t forbid me to go there…”  begged SinB slowly as she looked down.

Her mother chuckled. “No no honey, it’s just that we asked you to come to the company many times now and you always have plans but it’s important for us that you come with us this sunday.” explained her mother and SinB nodded.

“Oh…” said SinB surprised, she was worried for nothing. “Right, I will come sunday, I’m sorry I was busy these past few weeks…” said SinB sincerely.

Her mother smiled at her and hugged her. “We were busy too.” she said before sighing.

“That’s now that I start to realise you’re not a baby anymore, I always tried to protect you but now you’re flying on your own. Your dad asked me to let you live your life, he told me you would make good decisions since we gave you a good education.”

Sinb looked down. “What if I can’t make the good decisions?” asked SinB worried. “What if I don’t make the good choice?”

Her mother stared at her. “Then you will have to be strong and work hard to succeed anyway.” she told her and SinB looked up at her.

“Is everything okay?” she suddenly asked seeing her daughter’s confused face. SinB nodded with a smile to reassure her mother.

“Plus, I’m sure your dad will say, since you are our daughter, you will succeed anyways.” smiled SinB’s mom warmly which made SinB giggle and nod, she could totally picture how her dad would say it.

“Well wanna help with dinner? I left your dad alone in the kitchen so we should go check if he didn’t burn everything.” laughed the woman making SinB laugh too.

“I’m coming in a minute.” said SinB and her mother nodded before walking away. SinB got into more comfortable clothes and smiled. Seemed like his dad finally convinced her mother to be less strict with her. SinB loved seeing her mother like that, those moment were very precious for her and she would do everything to prove her mother that her dad was right. That SinB was able to take care of herself and make her own choice without being overprotected all the time.

SinB walked down and joined her parents to make diner.

“So, did appa burn the kitchen?” teased SinB as she saw her dad behind her mom.

“What do you mean burn the kitchen?!” asked her dad pretending to be insulted. “I would never burn the kitchen. Only your omma…” then he shut up as SinB’s mom turned around sending him a deadly glare.

SinB giggled and went to take the plates to set the table.

“Honey, go cut some vegetable, you forgot to do that.” said her mom.

“Oh, true. Wait I’m looking after the soup!” answered her dad.

SinB smiled and went to get the vegetable from the fridge and started to cut them.

“Oh my, our princess is cooking with us!” said her dad happily, surprised to see SinB in the kitchen.

SinB’s mom was surprised too. “Oh, seems like she knows how to hold the knife correctly and stuff too.”

SinB grinned. “One of my new friend can cook very well. I learned it from her!” she informed her parents proudly.

“New friend? Who is it?” asked her mom suddenly coldly in which her dad quickly patted her shoulder.

“Oh, nevermind.” suddenly said her mom.

SinB smiled, her mom was worry like always. “Don’t worry amma, Yerin is a very nice girl. She study in chemistry and she’s the best of her class! Oh she’s also the niece of the director in my dance school!” explained SinB really excited to talk about Yerin to her parents.

“Oh really? That’s cool!” said her dad happily as they continued to prep. Then SinB started to talk about her class and the quiz coming up. To her surprise, her mom just sit there and listened without cutting her off or question her like she used to do.

At the end of the supper, SinB volunteered to wash the dishes in which her dad suggested to wash it with her while her mom went shower. As her mom went up, SinB got closer to her dad.

“Appa, what did you do to amma?! She didn’t lecture me at all tonight!” whispered SinB happily as she took the plate that her dad washed, to rinse it over.

Her dad laughed and simply answered her “Love” which made SinB stun and looking at her dad confused.

“Hahaha, I mean her love for you ar SinB.” he explained laughing. “She missed you so much, she always wanted to come back from the business trip to check on you. But a few times when we came back for a bit, you were at Umji’s house. You didn’t see the disappointed look on your mom! I think she really wanted to hear your voice.” he winked at SinB.

SinB smiled and back hugged her dad. “I miss you two too appa…” she said sweetly as she lay her head on her dad’s back.

Her dad turned around and pulled SinB into his embrace. “Remember SinB, you are growing up, we will try our best not to interfere with your decisions and life, but do remember, we always have your back and we are here for you if you ever need anything ok?” he told her seriously.

SinB nodded, holding herself not to shed a tear as she hugged her dad tighter enjoying the warm and protective arms of her beloved dad.
