The next day was a school day, like always since the incident with Jackson, Sowon and Yerin arrived to pick SinB up and walk her to the school.

At the gate they saw Yuju, Jackson and Eunha but ignored them, the three other did the same. SinB swallowed hard but gripped both her friends feeling safe with them.

During class there was some improvement, SinB was less jumpy and scared all the time, she was breathing to calm herself and remembered she was in school with the same people she was seeing since months now. Nothing to worry about that, they were just classmates.

SinB was now able to walk alone in the hallway to go meet Sowon or Yerin after her class and didn’t have to wait for them all the time anymore.

There was still moments that were making SInB scared or uncomfortable, especially when she saw a shadow over her or felt someone too close to her but now she would react less strongly than weeks ago. Tall guys were still kinda scary for her but she managed to keep her emotions in control, thanks to her friends always reassuring her and protecting her if needed.

This day passed quickly, SinB had hard time following her classes as she wasn’t really focus this days, she had spend many classes worrying about people around her and missed important lessons, she had tried to study at home but she was so exhausted most of the time that to be honest she fallen behind a little in some classes…

Sowon left early today and went to work so it was Yerin that would walk SinB home, but Yerin was in lab tonight and would finish a little later than SinB, so the girl decided to go in the science building and wait for Yerin.

SinB was now less lost in this building, she would come here often with Yerin and was knowing in which part and which floor the labs where. Yerin’s class was often in the lab 5 so SinB walked up the stairs and waited in front of the door, she could heard the teacher talk and students answer. Then there were some laughs and lots of noises.

SinB understood they were about to come out so she stood up and waited but Yerin wasn’t here. She frowned and stopped a short girl.

“Hello excuse me.” said SinB and the girl looked up at her.

“Yes?” she asked looking around, probably wondering why SinB was talking to her.

“Isn’t Yerin in your class?” asked SinB before realising they were probably a lot of Yerin in this university. But SinB frowned she didn’t even know Yerin’s full name. “This girl.” added SinB taking out her phone to show a picture at the confused short girl.

“Oh, yeah she is but not in lab, she’s in group A and here we’re group B.” said the girl nicely.

“Oh Okay…” said SinB a little disappointed because this wasn’t helping to know where Yerin was.

The girl smiled at SinB. “Group A was in lab 3 but they finished earlier, I have a friend there that messaged me.”

“Ah thank you.” smiled SinB. Now she knew Yerin finished earlier so maybe she was waiting and looking for SinB on the other side of the school.

SinB took her phone out if Yerin wasn’t in class she could call her. It was weird that Yerin didn’t message her if she was looking for her thought SinB as she dialed Yerin’s number. It rang but no one picked it up.

SinB went downstairs and walked in the hallway to get out of the science building but stopped as she heard a familiar voice. She got closer and heard Yerin talking.

“No I can’t tonight, but I will come later.” she said and SinB hesitated to interrupt.

“Come on Yerin, you never hang out with us these days.” said a male voice that SinB recognized, it was the guy that’s always with Yerin.

“Oppa I’m sorry but SinB needs me, she’s going through a difficult time so I really want to be there for her.” explained Yerin as her voice softened while talking about SinB.

The guy sighed. “I know but think about yourself too, you look so tired, last time I saw you like that was when she left.” he said clearly worried.

Yerin didn’t answer and it was silent. SinB hesitated, should she let them know she was here… she felt bad to listen to them, it was clearly a private conversation.

“It’s not the same.” said suddenly Yerin. “I will try to come after, I promise but first I will walk her home okay?” said Yerin and SinB felt guilty.

She felt like she was stealing Yerin away from her friends, from her boyfriend? SinB didn’t know, she didn’t know much to be honest.

She walked away quickly and went into a bathroom she took her phone out and typed a message for Yerin.

“Hey Yerin, don’t look for me tonight, I already have someone to walk me home. Have a nice evening! :)” SinB send it and stayed some minutes in the bathroom.

She regretted this move as soon as she send the message but it was for Yerin own good. SinB wanted Yerin to enjoy some times with her friends and not have to babysit her like always.

Her phone vibrated. “Oh okay… Who’s walking you? I could still have come with you guys you know... be careful and have a nice evening too.”  

SinB didn’t answer, and waited. She wasn’t sure she would be able to walk out of the school and to her house alone but she had to.

When she got out of the bathroom, it was calm. how many time did she stay in there, SinB didn’t know, twenty minutes? maybe more…

The main entrance wasn’t an option. SinB knew Yuju and Jackson could be there anytime, she walked to the parking lot and took the other way out, she walked to the bus stop and waited. As the bus arrived, there was two girls waiting with her.

SinB looked up as the bus stopped in front of them and frowned. It was packed, so many people. SinB had difficulty to breath as she saw this. If Yerin was here she would have take SinB against her and protect her from everyone in this bus but Yerin wasn’t here, she wasn’t here because SinB decided to let her enjoy her time with her other friends.

The girls got into the bus but SinB made sign to the driver that she wasn’t coming in, she walked away as the bus left. She walked looking down, staring at the cracked lines of the sidewalk, focusing on nothing but the floor.

SinB was so focused on the floor that she didn’t see the person getting out of the little shop and bumped into them.

The other person hissed and SinB looked down. “Eunha?” she asked as she saw the short girl her on the floor.

“Oh…” just said Eunha looking at her paper bag probably hoping she didn’t drop anything as she fall.

SinB offered her hand to Eunha who hesitated but took it to stand. The short girl brushed her skirt that got a little dirty.

“You okay? I’m sorry I wasn’t looking.” said SinB sincerely.

“It’s okay, I’m fine.” just answered Eunha looking around. “You alone?” she asked and SinB looked down before nodding. “I’m so used to see you hanging around Sowon’s arm that it weird to see you without her…” said Eunha trying to make a joke but clearly jealous.

SinB swallowed hard and didn’t know what to answer. “Wanna walk together a little?” asked Eunha shyly and SinB immediately nodded.

At least she wouldn’t be alone, it was reassuring her to have Eunha with her even if it would be awkward and tense between them.

They stayed silent then Eunha handed a bottle of pineapple juice to SinB who took it while Eunha took an apple juice from her paper bag.

“Hmm thank you?” said SinB confused. “I like pineapple.” she said hoping it would relax the atmosphere.

“It’s Sowon’s favorite.” just answered Eunha looking in front of her as they kept walking in SinB’s house direction.

SinB looked at the bottle she just opened, maybe it wasn’t for her in first place and Eunha saw the hesitation. “I always come here to buy some snacks and drinks for Sowon and I. The guy keep giving me pineapple juice out of habit and I don’t have the heart to tell him not to.”

SinB nodded understanding better and taking a sip out of the bottle. SinB turned to look at Eunha who was staring at her apple juice, more like the girl was spacing out, probably thinking about Sowon thought SinB as she saw the pain in Eunha’s eyes.

“How’s Yuju?” asked SinB not really knowing why she was asking that, Yuju was so bad with her and she wasn’t sure she was missing her that much but she was kinda worried about the girl. SinB shivered as she thought about Jackson. This guy was around her all the time, lying and manipulating her. It break SinB’s heart to imagine what it could do to Yuju if she wasn’t going his way.

Yuju was a strong, stubborn and determined girl, but Jackson was so dangerous…

“She’s okay I guess… What happened really hurt her, she told me about Yerin stealing her boyfriend in high school and now this thing with you put her in a really difficult situation.” explained Eunha. “She keep saying that she trusted you blindly and regret it.” explained the short girl and SinB looked down.

“Eunha I did nothing, it’s Jackson, he’s manipulating her, he’s dangerous.” said SinB to Eunha hoping she would listen to her and believe her.

Eunha didn’t answer and just looked down.

“Just be careful around him.” just added SinB her voice a little more high pitched as she was scared and worried just thinking about him.

They finally arrived almost in front of SinB’s house and Eunha stopped. Umji was at the door looking at them. And waved at the two girls.

Eunha waved back at Umji and looked at SinB. “I will go home now, have fun with Umji.” she said as she turned around but SinB caught her arm and Eunha turned back to look at her surprised.

“Thank you… thank you for staying with me and for the drink Eunha.” said SinB nicely and Eunha smiled a bit.

“You’re welcome.” she said sincerely. “See you around.” she said and finally walked away.

SinB walked to her house and looked at Umji who had a raised eyebrow at her. “So it was Eunha? I’m surprised.” said SinB’s best friend as they entered the house and closed the door.

“What?” asked SinB confused.

“Yerin called me, she was worried, you told her someone else was walking you home and she didn’t know who it could be since well... all your friends were busy.” explained Umji.

“Oh yeah I was with Eunha.” answered SinB shortly and Umji hesitated.

“Are you two friends again?” asked Umji a little confused.

SinB shook her shoulders. “I don’t really know…” she said honestly. “I think she was feeling lonely and I needed someone too.” explained SinB and Umji nodded.

“I see.” said Umji not pushing more, it was nice to see these two at least talk, Eunha was a nice girl and Umji missed the shorty. “Sowon will join us in two hours and will eat dinner with us, wanna help me prepare something nice?” asked Umji and SinB nodded following Umji in the kitchen.

Sowon arrived later and they all ate together before going in the dancing room. They danced a little. SinB was stressed, she would have to go to the dancing school to meet Jiyoon soon, They needed to talk about the showcase, and what Jiyoon was expecting from her. By now they must have planned everything and it was time SinB started to prepare for it…

Hello! Sooooo SinB is less scare of stranger now and is able to walk around a bit more freely. As she went to see Yerin, she heard the conversation with Yerin and the boy. Would you do the same thing as SinB if it was you? Would you rather walk yourself home and tell Yerin to enjoy herself? What did you think of her decision? A little Eunbi moment here, luckily Eunha was around and even walked SinB home.
