SinB woken up in the middle of the night and find Umji sleeping beside her. She turned around and got closer to her best friend, hugging her, feeling her. It was good and warm against Umji.

SinB closed her eyes again and slept some more.

When she woke up again SinB was alone in the bed and the food smell was all around her. She stood up and got ready before going down. In her kitchen she found Umji, Sowon and Eunha. 

“Morning!” said Eunha happily before giving SinB a hug. “How are you?” she asked her looking closely at her. “Did you cry?” she asked and all faces turned to her.

SinB shook her head. “No I didn’t.” she lied and rushed to her plate to eat before someone else ask her any more questions.

They walked to school in silence, SinB didn’t said a word, she looked at her phone and saw that Yerin send her messages the day before, asking where she went, if she was okay or if anything happened. SinB ignored them and put back her phone in her pocket.

SinB focused on her classes and avoided Yerin at all cost, she rushed home quickly after her last class and did her homework in silence.

During the rest of the week SinB focused on her studies, she kept avoiding Yerin, it was too hard to think about her or to see her now, her heart couldn't handle it. It was easier to forget about Yerin for now, and focus on lessons, homework and exams.

Because it would soon be time for her exams and if SinB wanted to pass her year she had to do well, very well, she couldn’t fail, she couldn’t disappoint her parents.

So SinB busied herself in her study avoiding Yerin completely. Thinking about it, it wasn’t like yerin was insisting much to see her or talk to her. She probably understood SinB didn’t want to see her so she didn’t try to contact her, not even a message. SinB was glad that she didn’t have to face her but a little disappointed too… She was hoping Yerin would insist, she was hoping she was important enough for Yerin to want to know what was happening, but it seemed Yerin didn’t care that much.

On friday SinB entered her last class before the end of the day and was surprised to see Yuju sitting at her usual seat. SinB walked to her and sat beside the girl.

“Hello.” shyly said SinB as she took out her pens and notebooks.

“Hi.” answered Yuju as shy as her.

SinB gave a side look at Yuju and saw the girl opening her notebook, SinB gave a look at her note and realiser they were well organised and very complete. it was surprising knowing Yuju didn’t come often and missed so many classes this past few months. Plus even in the beginning of the year, Yuju wasn’t very attentive and didn’t know how to take notes.

SinB relaxed a little and looked again at Yuju. “Thanks for the flowers last time.” she said in a whisper.

“You’re welcome.” said Yuju looking at her notes and reading them carefully.

“It was my favorite.”

“I know…” said Yuju finally looking up and meeting eyes with SinB. “How are you? ready for exams?” asked Yuju changing subject.

SinB nodded. “I think I am even if I had a hard time I tried to not stay too much behind,Umji helped a lot.”

Yuju nodded too.

“What about you?” asked SinB pointing to Yuju’s notebook. “Seems like a new Yuju.” she said smiling. “Your notes seems great to study.”

Yuju nodded again. “I pay for some tutoring, I really don’t want to fail so I started taking this more seriously.” she confessed.

SinB nodded at her. she wanted to ask about Jackson, last time she saw the boy he was laying on a hospital bed, since that day SinB never saw him again, he probably understood he had to leave her alone, maybe because the dance school reported him it helped too.

SinB wanted to ask so badly she wanted to know, it would explain why Yuju came back to her after the showcase, why she tried to be nice, to be friendly with her nice bouquet of flowers. 

“I’m not seeing him anymore you know.” said Yuju and SinB looked at her unsure. “Jackson.” she specified and SinB didn’t answer.

“I realised he was full of bull, I ended everything between us while he was still at the hospital... I think it helped that he couldn’t try to hold me back or hurt me for leaving him...” explained Yuju and SinB listened carefully. “To be honest I thought many time about breaking up with him before, especially when he would hurt me but I was so scared he would hurt me even more and he kept telling me he was the only one that would love me, I guess I started to believe it.” she said and SinB bit her lips, she wished she could have been there for her but Yuju didn’t let anyone help her at that time, she was so stubborn and full of anger…

“It’s good if you could get away from him, and I’m glad you are okay now, be careful that he doesn’t come back for you when he gets better… he’s very dangerous…” said SinB and Yuju nodded.

“I know but he went back to his parents house, out of the country so he’s very far away now.” she said and SinB felt immediately relieved. He was gone and Yuju was free from him now, everyone was safe.

They stayed silent a moment then Yuju put her hand on SinB’s arm. “I’m so sorry you know… It won’t fix all the pain you went through because of me but I’m sorry, sincerely.”

“I know.” said SinB putting her hand on Yuju’s and squeezing it gently.

Yuju sighed in relief and SinB smiled. Yuju looked so calm and relaxed now, she had missed seeing her like that.

“I don’t expect us to be friends again but I would love hanging out from time to time, maybe for a movie or just going out for an ice cream? with the girls? If you are okay…or if they are ok...” asked Yuju shyly.

SinB smiled. “I would love that, I will let the girls know and get back to you okay?” asked SinB and Yuju nodded happily.

After this little talk they both focused on class. SinB knew it would never be like before but at least Yuju wasn’t an enemy anymore, she was just a broken girl, just like her, used and betrayed by Jackson…

After her class SinB went home directly, she would usually spend hours at the library after class to study some more but today she wanted to go home and tell Umji about her talk with Yuju.

As she entered her house she heard some voices in the living room, SinB recognized Sowon and Eunha. She walked to them.

“I’m home.” she said as she threw her bag on the floor beside the couch before sitting beside Umji.

They all looked at her surprised. “How come you’re here so early?” asked Umji confused. “I thought you would stay at the library to study like everyday this week.”

SinB rolled her eyes. “I’m happy to see you too Umji.” she said sarcastically before looking at Sowon and Eunha. “It’s nice that you are here too.” she said to the girls who looked at her wondering why she was saying this.

“What is it?” asked Umji curious now.

“I saw Yuju today.” said SinB.

“Oh… and?” asked Eunha.

“We talked, sincerely. She broke up with Jackson and she said he left the country now, she regretted what happened and asked me to hang out.” explained SinB.

“No way!” said Eunha. “Not after everything she did to us! And to you SinB.” she said a little mad. “You shouldn’t forgive her, not that soon, we never know…”

Sowon stayed silent and Umji hesitated.

“Are you sure she was sincere?” asked Umji and SinB nodded.

“Yes.”

“How can you be so sure?” asked Eunha frowning. “Don’t you remember what happened last time we trusted her?”

Sowon put her hand on Eunha’s thigh, gaining the short girl attention. “I think everyone deserves a second chance Eunha. It’s probably hard for her to take a step back to us, I think we should take a step too and see. It will be long but maybe we can all be friends again.” explained the tall girl and SinB nodded.

“Yeah, it would be nice, I miss her, she was cool and funny.”

“Yeah she was…” said Sowon smiling at SinB. “I would be happy to hang out with Yuju and you if you decide to do something soon.” she added before looking ta Eunha who was shocked, mouth half open at Sowon decision. “You don’t have to come if you don’t feel like it Eunha.” continued Sowon sincerely and Eunah crossed her arms on her chest pouting.

“No I… It’s not that… I…” she sighed. “I’m coming too.” she finally said and Sowon smiled at her.

Umji nodded at them all. “Me too, it could be fun.” she said and SinB looked at her friends happy, she was glad they would give Yuju a second chance.
