Dinner was fine, Taeyeon thought, except for the occasional knowing glances and snickers from the blonde girl. It also didn’t help that Tiffany seemed to like joining in teasing her and that’s when she felt like her head was about to explode in annoyance. She knew she had quite a temper and she could handle it quite well but right now, the level of annoyance was way above her head and she just wanted to finish this meal as fast as she could.
“Hey, slow down.” Tiffany placed her hand on Taeyeon’s and instantly regretted it when the girl snapped her head up to glare at her.
Taeyeon exhaled through her nose and put down the cutlery. “No more teasing.” She pointed at her dangerously.
“But that’s how I flirt.”
She narrowed her eyes and just stared at her for 10 seconds. “No flirting.”
“Then what’s the point of having this dinner?”
. She has a point. Wait. What? I didn’t come here to flirt with you! “No.”
“No?”
“Just eat.” Taeyeon said sternly and went back to eat the remaining vegetables on her plate.
“Taeyeon.”
“What?”
“Don’t you find me attractive?”
Taeyeon exhaled through her nose once again, a little louder this time, before looking up to Tiffany’s expecting eyes. . Don’t fall for that. You know she’s just using that stupid pretty eyes of hers to guilt trip you. “What the hell?” She had a lot of things in her head but strangely, that was the only thing that she was able to say out loud.
“Am I not attractive for you?” Tiffany knew it was a desperate move but she just had to do it. Not when Taeyeon was too stubborn like this.
“You are very attractive.” . Did I say that out loud?! . OH . And I just had to emphasize that she is very attractive. . You… .
“Really?”
“Okay, that came out wrong. Never mind.” She waved her hand dismissively but Tiffany didn’t budge.
“So does this mean I have a chance with you?”
“No.”
“But your pinkish face says otherwise.” Tiffany giggled when Taeyeon frantically covered her cheeks.
“I don’t blush! Stop saying stupid things!” Taeyeon pointed at her accusingly and got a light kiss on the lips instead. “How dare you kiss me like that?!” She wiped her lips desperately with the napkin and glared at Tiffany.
“Because you’re really cute and really, really stubborn.”
“Okay, now you stop right there.” Taeyeon finally had had enough of the girl’s annoying antics. “I’m not cute. I’m not stubborn. Okay, fine. Maybe just a little stubborn. And yes, you’re very attractive but damn you’re so clingy. So just shut up and eat so I can send you home early.” She pointed at her with the fork to stop Tiffany from talking. “You’re really pissing me off right now and if you want another date with me, just do as I say and I might consider going out with you again. Got it?” Her eyes narrowed for the umpteenth time tonight when Tiffany chuckled.
“Okay.” Tiffany gave her that beautiful smile again and patted her hand before resuming to eat whatever’s left on her plate.
She knew by then that Tiffany got her, somehow, she wasn’t even sure how, and she got even more pissed. Because… . NO. . I can’t... UGH. DAMN IT. WHY ARE YOU SO PERFECT?! . Okay. No. She’s not. . BUT SHE IS. . AH, DAMN IT.
