Taeyeon had a few guidelines in choosing the right person to date. Pretty long hair, pretty smile, pretty eyes, and pretty face, smart, caring, sweet, and nice. Those were at the top of the list and she wanted to scream in frustration that Tiffany had passed with flying colors based on the said guidelines. She tried to think of any, any flaw that she could use against the girl. . Think. THINK. . She almost pulled her hair out when something came into mind. RIGHT. CLINGY. SHE’S CLINGY. OH GOD. YES! THAT’S IT! She closed her eyes and took in a few deep breaths to calm her racing heartbeat.
“Have you came up with a lame excuse now?” Tiffany looked at her in confusion upon seeing the girl’s calm expression.
“It’s not lame, okay?” She rolled her eyes in annoyance before clearing dramatically. “Reason why I can’t date you.” She pointed at Tiffany’s nose. “You’re a clingy girlfriend. I don’t do clingy.”
“That’s a very lame excuse.” Tiffany wasn’t pleased with her argument so she crossed her arms and gave her a stern look.
“What? That’s very plausible! What are you even talking about?” Taeyeon jumped out of the couch when Tiffany reached out for her and internally asked herself why she let the girl in to her apartment in the first place. “You’re too touchy feely, I don’t like it!” She pointed at her accusingly and got confused when Tiffany laughed at her seriousness. “Don’t laugh at me! That’s rude!”
“Okay, okay. No excessive touching. And clinging. I can do that.”
“No, you can’t.” Taeyeon narrowed her eyes at the girl’s wide grin. “Clinginess is in your nature. You can’t just take it off… like…” Her hands frantically made some weird gestures on top of Tiffany’s head. “Like that!”
“You’re being silly.” Tiffany got off the couch to grab her hands and pulled her closer. “At least give me a chance?” She clasped their hands together and offered an irresistible cute pout.
“NO.”
“Please…”
“Hell no!”
“But Taeyeonnnn…”
“Oh god, you’re starting to sound like Taehyung!” Taeyeon said out of annoyance which made the girl shut up in an instant. OH .
“Fine, I won’t bother you anymore.” Tiffany released her hold and quietly took her bag. She didn’t spare a single glance at Taeyeon as she put on her shoes, ready to leave. Her hand was a mere inch away from the doorknob when she felt the hand grasping her arm gently. The gesture put a small grin on her face but she quickly wiped it off as she turned around. “What?”
“I’m sorry, okay?” It came out quite forced but Tiffany remained silent to hear her out. “Fine. One date. Just one date. Happy now?” Taeyeon crinkled her nose in displeasure when slender arms went around her waist to pull her in a tight hug.
“Okay.” Tiffany let out a giggle when she kissed the girl’s cheek to which Taeyeon shamelessly wiped away with the back of her hand.
