“What?” Tiffany finally had had enough and shifted to her side, brows furrowed as she looked at Taeyeon with a frown. “And please stop kicking me.”
Taeyeon just rolled her eyes at the slightly snappy remark before beckoning the girl to move closer and Tiffany did just that, not bothering to ask why. “You know…” She gently grabbed the girl’s shoulders and pulled her even closer.
“What is it?” The close proximity between them made Tiffany’s heart beat faster and it didn’t help that Taeyeon was looking right into her eyes. Her eyes fluttered close as the girl slowly leaned forward, expecting one of those rare affectionate kisses from her girlfriend but got furiously shook instead. “Wha… H-hey! Stop it!” The shaking went on and she would’ve thought the girl was just messing around but the frown on her face clearly said otherwise.
“I hate you.” Taeyeon spat angrily, for no reason really, and thought she shook her enough before releasing her hold.
“Why is it always my fault?”
“You’re the reason why I’m sick.” She grabbed a handful of tissues from the side before sneezing three consecutive times. “. I hate this.” The used tissues were then thrown to the small trashcan Tiffany had prepared for her.
“Why are you always blaming me? It’s totally your fault.” Tiffany furrowed her brows, now mimicking Taeyeon’s facial expression.
“And how is it my fault, huh?” Taeyeon sniffed deeply, getting annoyed by the sound of it at each passing second.
“You kissed me. Your fault. As easy as that.”
“Well, you asked for it!”
“Maybe I did but nobody asked you to shove your tongue into my throat.” Taeyeon could only narrow her eyes at what Tiffany said. “Huh. Now you’re quiet because I’m right.”
“Shut up.”
“Oh, you know I’m right.” Tiffany just watched the girl roll to her side, facing the couch, mumbling some incoherent words that sounded like swear words. “Oh please.” She sighed and tugged at her arm but Taeyeon merely swatted her hand away. “Now you’re sulking like a sore loser?”
“You shouldn't be scolding a sick person, you know.”
“And now you’re stealing my words too?”
“And now you’re stealing my words too?” Taeyeon repeated like the child that she was and continued to grumble about annoying smartass people. “Go home.”
“Why would I do that?”
“Just go home. You don’t have to take care of me.”
“Why?” Tiffany forced, in a gentle way, the girl to face her and the moment she saw Taeyeon’s pink cheeks, running nose, and watery eyes, she had completely forgiven the girl for being too stubborn.
“I believe you have important things to do so just leave.” Taeyeon remained sulking and didn’t bother to look at her, opting to focus her attention to the ceiling.
“I do.”
“See? Then just go home before it gets too late.”
“Taking care of you is the most important thing to do right now.” Tiffany climbed onto the couch and squeezed herself in whatever space was left. She giggled when the girl huffed as she shifted, providing more space for her to get comfortable. “Taeyeon-ah…” She gently grabbed her hand and entwined it with her own.
“What?”
“I was wondering what I should do to make you say that you love me too.”
“Ha ha. That’s never gonna happen.” Taeyeon said sarcastically.
“It’s going to happen alright.”
“Never.”
“It will. Just wait and see.” Tiffany stuck her tongue out playfully and the girl rolled her eyes in return.
