Taeyeon had been banging the door for the past 10 minutes. “Tiffany, open up!” She called out and was about to knock again when the door suddenly opened so she stumbled forward, falling on Tiffany. “What the hell, that hurts.” She pushed herself up with a grunt.
“Why are you here?”
“Do you really need to ask?” She looked at her in disbelief. “Who in their right mind would not worry if you suddenly disappear like that?”
The question rendered Tiffany speechless for a moment and her annoyance towards Taeyeon had completely ceased in an instant. “You’re worried about me?”
“Anyone would, duh.” Taeyeon said matter-of-factly. “It’s late and you’re alone. What were you even thinking?” Her brows lifted comically when the girl leaned up to kiss her on the lips. “Gah! What are you doing?!” She quickly got off and pointed at Tiffany accusingly. “Don’t you dare come near me!” She stepped backwards in fear as Tiffany moved closer. “Nooooo...” Her shoulders slumped as soon as unwelcomed slender arms were wrapped around her body.
“Thank you.” Tiffany whispered as she tighten her hold.
“What the hell are you even thanking me for?” She tried to squirm out of her hold but failed miserably.
“For worrying about me. You’re the sweetest, Taeyeon-ah.” Tiffany held her in arm’s length and smiled.
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever.” Taeyeon flailed her hands to swat away the girl’s arms. “Since you’re obviously looking alive and well, I’m going now. Bye.” She grabbed her discarded bag on the floor before leaving Tiffany without a single glance.
Tiffany sighed in defeat as she followed Taeyeon with her eyes to the end of the hallway and down the stairs. She couldn’t help but feel sad at how their date ended but a tiny little voice in her head was telling her to cheer up because despite the disastrous turn of events, Taeyeon did go after her and checked if she was alright. With that in mind, she closed the door with a soft thud and waited for some sort of miracle to happen.
