Living together with Taeyeon might not have been the wisest decision so far. Not when Taeyeon was creating a mess out of her used clothes around the apartment. Not when Taeyeon would squeeze the toothpaste from the middle. Not when Taeyeon would ignore all the coasters on the coffee table and just directly place the mug on top of it. Not when Taeyeon would randomly kick off her shoes, scattering them everywhere. And especially not when Taeyeon would lock herself into her room. For hours. Or days. Even as long as two weeks.
So maybe Tiffany was a bit too excited when she said yes. Maybe Tiffany was too excited that she had conveniently forgotten how Taeyeon works. How her messy, borderline crazy, mind works. How Taeyeon’s extreme mood swings work. How Taeyeon’s uncharacteristically sweet and clingy nature works. And most especially, how weird Taeyeon was. Sure, she was more tolerable than her ex slash future brother-in-law, but still. Taeyeon was undoubtedly weird. But Tiffany never told her about it. Because what’s there to talk about?
“TAEYEON, OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR!” Tiffany’s incessant banging on the door was quite hopeless. Okay, so maybe she was wrong. They definitely have something to talk about. Especially now that her patience was running out.
“NO! GO AWAY!” Taeyeon yelled almost instantly.
“COME OUT OR I’LL BREAK THIS ING DOOR!”
There was complete silence. Tiffany’s heaving breath. Then the door creaked open and out came a terrified Taeyeon. “Please don’t break the door…” The girl slowly stepped out of her room and carefully looked up at Tiffany.
“What’s wrong with you?!”
“I told you, nothing!”
“It’s not nothing if you refuse to show yourself for a week!” Tiffany let out a frustrated sigh.
“I just wanted to be alone, okay?!”
“Then why the hell did you ask me to move in with you?!”
“Why are you raising your voice?!”
“Because you’re being unreasonable and so ing hard to deal with?!” Tiffany raised her voice even more.
“Why are you cursing at me?!” Taeyeon raised her voice just as high.
“Oh, so you can curse all you want at me but I can’t do the same?!”
Taeyeon instinctively backed away when the girl took a step forward. “I-I never curse at you!” Her eyes widen the moment she saw Tiffany’s heavy breathing. Out of anger, of course.
“You know what I hate the most?”
“U-um…” She swallowed the lump in nervously. “I-I know…?”
“What is it?”
“People lying…” Taeyeon made another desperate move to put a distance between them.
“That’s right.” Tiffany narrowed her eyes as she stared at her fidgeting girlfriend. “So tell me what you did this time or else…”
“Or else what…?” Taeyeon flinched at the ready-to-kill look on Tiffany’s face.
“You know what’s gonna happen to your sorry .” Tiffany saw her swallow hard before nodding obediently. “So tell me.”
“I-I…” Taeyeon clutched her head dreadfully. “I-I may or may not have threw a few samples away… BY ACCIDENT OF COURSE!” She added the last part in a hurry when Tiffany groaned and massaged her temples.
“What the actual ?! I told you to stay away from that pile! Why are you so hard headed?!”
“B-but I was trying to help out with the cleaning and… .” She smacked her forehead not once but nine times. “! I’m sorry, okay?!”
Okay, so this was one of the things that Tiffany had completely missed. Taeyeon’s sudden breakdowns. And cursing, a lot of cursing.
“. I messed up, okay?! Not once but actually thrice!” Taeyeon ruffled her hair in frustration. “ing ! I’m so sorry!” Tiffany remained quiet and that was never a good sign. So with a hesitant step forward, she wrapped her shaky arms around her girlfriend and hoped it would do the trick.
“Taeyeon.” Tiffany called out, her body stiff in Taeyeon’s hold. “Get off me.”
“I’m not doing that until you forgive me.”
“Okay, fine. I’ll let you be.” She let out another deep sigh. “Can I tell you something?”
“What is it?” Taeyeon made an attempt to glance up but failed miserably. “Are you going to break up with me now? For real?”
“You’re a ing idiot who’s so ing hard to deal with.” Tiffany heard a disgruntled noise but decided to ignore it. “Yeah. That’s what you are. A ingmess of a big baby.”
“But you still love me right?” Taeyeon hesitantly loosen her hold to meet the girl’s eyes.
“Don’t pull that on me. I really hate you right now.”
“Okay, I understand. But not hate hate, right?”
“Stop acting cute and innocent. You knew I’ve been looking for those since last week and you never told me about it?!”
“But I was scared… baby…?” Taeyeon was in such desperate need of forgiveness that she unleashed the cuteness in her.
“What the ?! I’m not talking to you anymore!” Tiffany finally detached herself from Taeyeon’s tight hold and stomped her way into her room.
“B-but…! Hey! I said I'm sorry!” The door slammed right in front of her. “. I ed up.”
