“Have you heard that Ms. Kim greeted an employee with a smile today?”
“Omg I know! That was me! She greeted me!” The young lady enthusiastically pointed at herself.
“What? No way!” The other young lady slapped her coworker’s shoulder playfully. “You’re so lucky!”
“I know! It was a daily routine but today, she actually smiled!”
The ladies squealed altogether as they washed their hands.
“She must have looked so cute smiling in that cute pink shirt of hers!”
“She did! That cute dimple on her face when she smiles...” The young lady sighed dreamily as she clutched the used paper towel. “I finally got to see it and it felt so surreal!”
“Damn it, you’re so lucky! I should go to work earlier from now on.”
“Maybe you should!”
The ladies giggled to themselves as they finished fixing their shirts before leaving the restroom.
“What the hell was that?” Taeyeon emerged from the last cubicle with a frown on her face. “Cute dimple? Smiling? What?!” She mindlessly looked at the mirror, her eyes staring at the pink shirt she was wearing. “Stupid wife making me wear these stupid shirts.” She ruffled her hair in annoyance.
Taeyeon was about to curse some more when her phone vibrated.
Tiffany: Hi baby! How’s your day going?
A small smile appeared on her face as Taeyeon read the message. She didn’t even realize it was there until she saw her reflection in the mirror.
Taeyeon: It . Leave me alone.
Tiffany: Want me to make your day better?
Taeyeon: How?
Tiffany: I’ll bake your favorite cupcakes and shower you with lots of love when you get home. :)
Taeyeon grimaced at the message but she couldn’t deny the fluttering feelings she felt inside. They were right, being with Tiffany was the best decision that she had ever made.
Taeyeon: Fine. And please get me some ice cream too.
Tiffany: Sure baby. Come home soon! Love you. :)
Taeyeon rolled her eyes then read the message five more times.
Taeyeon: Go away.
Taeyeon: I love you too.
Taeyeon: Now go away and stop bothering me.
