“Taeyeon?”
“What?” Taeyeon asked without looking away from her phone.
“I have a question.”
“What is it?” She quickly glanced at her girlfriend before turning back to the news article she’s been reading.
“I hope it’s not weird if I’m asking this all of a sudden.”
“Just ask already. No need for these stupid introductions.” Taeyeon asked exasperatedly as she shifted in her seat.
“Um… How’s your brother?”
“Ah. That stupid little brat…” Tiffany looked at her intently, heartbeat racing at each passing second, but Taeyeon was too oblivious with all these things. “I don’t know. I haven’t talked to him in almost a year now. Last time I heard, he was in Maldives? Or somewhere. I don’t actually care.” Taeyeon finally turned her gaze to the other girl who was looking a little bit tensed. “Why did you ask?”
“Oh. Nothing.” Tiffany shook her head and snuggled closer.
“What’s wrong?”
“I told you. It’s nothing.”
“Hey, you can tell me, you know. I don’t really mind.” Taeyeon pried the arms around her waist to take a better look of Tiffany. “What is it?”
“It’s just that…” Tiffany sighed before meeting the girl’s eyes. “I haven’t talked to him too. Since you know… the breakup…” She raised her brows in confusion when Taeyeon looked at her with genuine surprise. “What’s wrong…? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You what?!”
“I… I haven’t talked to him since then…”
“WHAT?!”
“H-hey… Calm down…” Tiffany rubbed her arms to calm her down.
“THAT STUPID LITTLE !” Taeyeon grabbed her phone from the nightstand and immediately dialed her brother’s number.
“W-what are you doing?”
“I’m calling my stupid little brother!” She ruffled her hair in annoyance.
“What?! Why?” Tiffany tried to snatch away the phone but Taeyeon was able to keep it out of her reach.
“He promised me that he will apologize to you! ! I should’ve known better than to believe that stupid…! Ugh!” A few more rings later and her call was finally answered.
“Hi Nooooonnaaaaa!” Taehyung’s annoyingly too enthusiastic voice came out from her phone.
“DON’T NOONA ME! YOU LITTLE BRAT!”
“Huh? Why are you angry?”
“YOU STUPID LITTLE BRAT! YOU PROMISED!”
“Promised what?”
“THAT YOU’LL TALK TO HER AFTER I LEAVE!” Taeyeon was screaming in anger, completely forgetting that Tiffany was just right beside her, who can obviously hear the ongoing conversation.
“OOOOoHHHHHhhhh...” Taehyung’s teasing tone almost set her off. “Yeah. About that.” He cleared his throat dramatically. “I haven’t talked to her since then.”
“WHY?!”
“Because…” There was a short pause and Taeyeon thought the call was ended until she heard some shuffling noise. “Noona…” Her twin brother whispered.
“What now?!”
“Are you with her right now…?”
“What?!”
“Umma told me…” He giggled, confusing his sister. “She said you’re dating a pretty young lady.”
“So?!” Taeyeon wasn’t sure where this conversation was even going.
“She told me you’re dating Fany? Is that true?” At the mention of Tiffany, she inadvertently gasped too loud and turned to her girlfriend with wide eyes.
“What?” Tiffany mouthed to which Taeyeon shook her head vigorously in return.
“I’ll take that as a yes!” Taehyung cheered from the other line. “I knew that plan was brilliant!” He cheered some more and Taeyeon’s irritation came back with a force.
“What the hell are you talking about?!”
“OH.” He laughed awkwardly. “Um. Hey, I have to go now! Bye bye! Say hi to Fany for me! And tell her I’ll talk to her soon!”
“Wha…” Taeyeon looked at her phone in disbelief when the call was ended. “What the hell?!”
“What did he say?” Tiffany asked, looking curious.
“.” She spat angrily. “That stupid little brat!”
