As they walked to Tiffany’s apartment, Taeyeon couldn’t help but get more frustrated. Tiffany hadn’t said a single word since they left the restaurant and had been behaving really well. . She must be really serious about this. . But I don’t wanna go on another date with her! The thought made her frown and she didn’t even notice that they had arrived in front of the girl’s apartment.
“Well, I had fun tonight.” Tiffany turned around after unlocking the door.
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever.”
“Will I get to see you again?”
“No.”
“But I wanna see you again.”
“Well, I don’t. So there’s that.” Taeyeon looked at her impassively and crossed her arms in a very defensive manner.
Tiffany sighed dejectedly. “Then can I invite you over for some coffee?”
“No.”
“Then how about some ice cream?”
Taeyeon didn’t miss how Tiffany smirked at her when her eyes unconsciously lit up upon knowing that there’s an ice cream waiting for her inside. She inwardly scolded herself for being weak and groaned shamelessly as Tiffany dragged her inside. “Just one scoop and I’m out.” She grunted as she sat on the chair and waited for the said treat.
“You can have the entire pint if you want.”
She let out an embarrassing gasp when that all too familiar brand of her favorite ice cream was placed right in front of her. The whole pint, unopened, untouched. “Really?”
“Yes, you can. Here.” Tiffany gave her a spoon before going to the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee.
Taeyeon gladly took the spoon and started eating the cold treat. She unconsciously glanced at her watch and saw it was getting late so she tried to quickly finish the entire pint. . Brain freeze. . You stupid. . She desperately held onto her head as she tried to fight the terrible pain.
Tiffany came back with a cup of coffee and a glass of water as she sat across the table from Taeyeon. “What are you doing?”
“Brain freeze.”
She chuckled at the girl’s childish behavior and gave her the glass of water. “Then eat slowly.”
“It’s getting late. I need to go home soon.” Taeyeon said and gulped the whole glass of water. She went back on eating the ice cream, completely ignoring Tiffany as the other girl watched her with pure amusement. “Don’t stare at me. That’s rude.” Eat faster, you dummy. It’s gonna rain soon and you don’t wanna get stuck in traffic. And as if on cue, the rained poured out of nowhere and Taeyeon dramatically dropped the spoon on the table.
“Are you okay?”
She clutched her head dramatically, hoping the rain would stop pouring any minute now but the universe must really hate her today because not only it poured harder, the loud roar of the thunder also decided to join in, making it hard for her to go home. Because as silly as it may be, Taeyeon was afraid of lightings and thunders. “No. Definitely not.”
Tiffany glanced at the wall clock and decided it would be safer if Taeyeon stayed until the rain died down. “You can stay until the rain stops.”
“At this rate? Who knows if it's ever gonna stop?”
“Then stay the night.” She could feel her cheeks burning when she said it out loud.
