Of course Tiffany wouldn't be Tiffany if she just stayed at home, or at work. Tiffany Hwang is the epitome of stubbornness so of course she would hastily prepare herself and rush to where Taeyeon might be.

"I'm sorry Miss Hwang but Miss Kim's schedule is full today." The receptionist reasoned out apologetically.

"How about tomorrow?"

"Her schedule is full until the next month."

"What." Tiffany sighed for the hundredth time that day. "Alright. Thank you very much." She bowed politely before leaving the building.

But right before she reached the exit, she turned around after feeling the eyes on her. Tiffany tried so hard not to roll her eyes when she saw her girlfriend frantically going back to where she came from. She even almost laughed when Taeyeon tripped on her way back to the elevator.

To be honest, Tiffany should be raging by now. Who in their right mind would leave their girlfriend like that? And just a month before their wedding? And without leaving some sort of an explanation?

Being the most understanding girlfriend that she was, Tiffany decided to just let her be. But not without sending a message to her not-so-beloved, at the moment, mess of a girlfriend.

Tiffany: I saw you lurking. You looked stupid by the way.

The reply came almost instantly.

Taeyeon: How dare you.

And another.

Taeyeon: I told you not to look for me!

And then another.

Taeyeon: Please leave me alone.

And then another one.

Taeyeon: Please don't wait for me.

Tiffany stared at the messages and didn't know what to make out of those. She had never doubted her feelings towards her girlfriend but right now, Taeyeon was being all sorts of difficult. Thinking back to all the arguments that they had, and not to mention the breakdowns Taeyeon had, Tiffany never felt so lost.

Was this the life that she wanted? Of course not. Well, at least not entirely. She would be totally lying if she said that it never crossed her mind that she wished things were different, if Taeyeon was just a tiny bit different from her current state. That Taeyeon was a tiny bit less grumpy, moody, reserved, and borderline crazy.

Maybe it's the stress talking. She tried to reason out. And as she walked back to her office that day, Tiffany couldn't help but feel guilty for doubting. Because Taeyeon had been so good to her all this time. Fine, she was obnoxious, rude, and had quite a temper at times, but still. Her girlfriend was still the sweetest person ever despite her shortcomings.

Tiffany sighed deeply as she got to her office and slumped on her chair. She took out her phone and dialed her girlfriend's number. As she waited for the call to be picked up, her eyes wandered around the quiet room until her gaze moved to her hand. The sight of the engagement ring turned her frown into a small smile in an instant.

"What?" The curt tone cut her daydreaming.

"Baby?"

"Hm."

"I love you." Tiffany heard a deep sigh and couldn't help but smile. "Come home after a week?"

"Hm."

"Please?" She used every ounce of cute pleading voice that she had. "Baby?"

"Hm."

"Taeyeon-ah..."

"Will you stop bothering me if I do that?"

"Of course."

"Fine." Taeyeon grumbled and this time, Tiffany wasn't able to hold back a giggle. "I'll be home in a week."

"Will you be staying with your parents?"

"I'm not answering that."

"Please don't make me worry?"

"Fine." Another disgruntled sound was heard over the phone. "Yes, I'm planning to stay with them."

"Alright." The line went silent for a moment and Tiffany could hear some shuffling noises. "Baby?"

"Hm."

"Know that I love you and that I won't change my mind about marrying you." Tiffany waited patiently until she heard Taeyeon sighing.

"I know."

"You don't have to worry."

"I have to go now."

"Okay." There was a short pause until Taeyeon decided to speak again.

"Tiffany?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm scared." Tiffany had never heard her voice tremble this bad and it sure did scare her.

"Then come home."

"Hm."

"Taeyeon-ah..."

"I really have to go now. Bye." The call ended right before she could plead some more and it left Tiffany almost crying but she held it all in.
