“Hello, Miss Tiffany.” The young man greeted.

 

“How’s everything going?” Tiffany looked around the house. 

 

“We might get behind schedule.”

 

“Why?” 

 

“Uh...”

 

“What is it?”

 

“Miss Taeyeon requested to add more rooms.”

 

“Add more rooms?”

 

“Yes...” The young man looked at Tiffany nervously. “She said they’re for the babies.”

 

“Babies?” Tiffany asked in confusion.

 

“Yes... well, we converted one of the guest rooms into one of the babies’ bedroom then we’re going to add 2 more upstairs.”

 

Tiffany breathed deeply, now fully understanding the situation. “We haven’t really talked about it but thank you for informing me.” She smiled politely. 

 

“If you have any more concerns, I will be outside.” The young man bowed politely before taking his leave.

 

Tiffany nodded politely and waited until the young man was out of sight. Taking a few more deep breaths, she took out her phone and dialled her wife’s number.

 

“Hello?”

 

“Taeyeon.”

 

“I’m in the middle of work.” Taeyeon quickly replied.

 

“It’s lunch break.”

 

“I’m a workaholic.”

 

Tiffany rolled her eyes at the curt tone. “Maybe you want to tell me something?”

 

“Like what?”

 

“Oh, I don’t know? Maybe some revisions that I didn’t know about?”

 

“What revisions?”

 

Tiffany heard some keyboard smashing and she knew Taeyeon was just pretending to be busy. “Our house?”

 

“What about it?”

 

“Why do we need more rooms?”

 

“What.”

 

“Are we really doing this now?”

 

“I’m... working. Busy.”

 

“At least let me know about it first.”

 

“Are you mad?”

 

“I want to strangle you right now.”

 

“So I’m sleeping at my parents’ house tonight?”

 

“No.” The keyboard smashing immediately stopped.

 

“I’m sorry... Tiffany.”

 

“Just come home early. I’ll be waiting.” Tiffany waited for a response but heard some shuffling noise instead. “Hello?”

 

“On my way home now.” Taeyeon grumbled. “I’m sorry again. I should’ve known better. See you at home.”

 

The call was ended and Tiffany just stared at her phone. “Okay, that was weird.” She mumbled to herself and proceeded to go upstairs. 

 

Walking further, Tiffany reached the newly added rooms. One was painted in mint green while the other was in lilac. The color choices put a smile on her face because as far as she could remember, those were the favorite colors of Kang Joon and Soojung, Taeyeon’s babies. Her eyes took in the view, imagining how would it be like once these rooms were occupied by the children. The thought made her chuckle. Kim Taeyeon tending to 3 children at once? It was quite unimaginable.

 

“That cute bundle of grumpiness...” Tiffany shook her head. She looked at the rooms once more before deciding to go home. On her way back to her car, she received an email from her assistant. 

 

Hello, Miss Tiffany.

 

I got the papers from Miss Lee earlier today. The files are already on your desk. Miss Taeyeon was at the orphanage as well. Don’t worry, she didn’t see me.

At the end of the email, there was an attached photo of Taeyeon standing at the side of the playground with Miss Lee, smiling.
