Taeyeon swore to herself on her way to Tiffany’s place that no matter what would happen, she would do her best not to enjoy the girl’s company. But as their date went on, she couldn’t help but get too immersed in their conversation. . This girl really knows how to keep a conversation going. They had talked about anything under the sun and she wondered how far Tiffany would go just so they won’t stop talking. And as the girl kept on talking about the latest book that she had finished reading, she couldn’t help but stare as Tiffany made those animated gestures and thought how cute she looked. . No, no, no. Don’t go there. Stay where you are. You’re safer here. Taeyeon absently nodded as she let the girl finish her story.
“So how about you?”
“What?” Taeyeon was clearly not listening and she tried her best to act as if she was.
“You weren’t even listening…” Tiffany gave her that sad pout as she leaned to her chair. “Am I boring you out?”
Of course!! “No.” . You stupid! Why the hell are you encouraging her?!
That single word turned Tiffany’s frown upside down in an instant. “How about we…”
“No. I know what you’re thinking. The answer is no.” Taeyeon quickly interrupted her. “No asking questions.”
“But how am I supposed to know you better if you won’t let me ask questions?”
“Why do you even want to date me?” Taeyeon whimpered and she inwardly scolded herself for sounding like her stupid twin brother.
“Because you’re really nice.”
“I’m not nice. Stay away from me.”
“But you are.”
“Hey, no touching!” Taeyeon retracted her hand when Tiffany attempted to reach for it.
“Question number one.”
“Wha… I said…”
“What’s your favorite color?” Tiffany completely ignored her and just went with her plan. “Come on, please answer me.”
. I hate that look. . “Blue.” Taeyeon answered monotonously.
“I like pink.” She smiled a little and continued. “What’s your favorite pastime?”
“Doing nothing.”
Tiffany thought the girl was testing her patience so she tried to remain calm and gave it her all. “I like listening to music. Hmmm… What else…” She tapped her chin in thought.
“Can I get to ask a few questions?”
“Okay.”
Taeyeon grimaced at the twinkle in Tiffany’s eyes. “Can I go home now?” She saw the girl exhale through her nose in annoyance and couldn’t help but laugh lightly at the sight.
“You’re mean.”
“I told you I’m not nice.” She went on laughing and only stopped when Tiffany started to gather her things. “Wait. What are you doing?” She stood up as well and placed a few bills on the table before grabbing her things to follow the girl outside the restaurant. “Hey.”
“What?” Tiffany turned to face her and pulled her arm out harshly.
“What?! You’re mad at me?” . She’s mad for real. . “Why are you mad at me?”
“Because I’m being nice to you and you’re just…” Tiffany narrowed her eyes and shook her head in disapproval. “You’re so mean.”
Taeyeon was utterly surprised when the girl shoved her away before crossing the street. “What the hell?” She asked no one, completely confused on what just happened.
