29*
Red Skys and Royal CardsAs a group, we were walking down the crowed streets of the city. Sehun, as usual, was glued to my side away from people bumping into him while the others casually walked around us. It was like they were forming a bubble or something, Chanyeol and Baekhyun were in front of me talking to each other. Kai was on my other side and Luhan and Suho where behind me talking as well. Chen and D.O were on either side of Kai and Sehun just taking in the view around them.
It was a warm day out, the sun shining down on us, letting the heat soak into our skin. There were a few fluffy white clouds floating through the red sky as the wind blew them through the air. It was nice just strolling through the streets with not a care in the world. I haven’t done something like this in a long time, and it was even better having the boys with me.
We stopped at a few stores to look at the clothing before leaving again, not finding anything of interest to us, but none of us minded. Even the boys were having fun just walking around. Baekhyun was fascinated by the small things that I normally took for granted, and that showed me just how much they never got to do or see anything. I would need to go out with them more so they could see as much as possible and enjoy as much as they could.
We found our way to a park where we sat down to eat the lunch D.O had made us earlier that morning. We sat in a circle as we ate in silence. I was finished first since the boys ate way more than I was able to in a whole day. It was fun to watch.
“Are you enjoying yourself, Baekhyun?” I asked him when he finished what he was currently eating.
“It’s a lot different then what I thought, but yes, I am enjoying this. Thank you for taking us out.” He said gratefully before going back to eating.
I leaned back on my palms and looked up at the sky again. Such a pretty view with the green leaves from the trees around the park blocking parts of my vision. It gave it a rather magical feeling as they rustled a little in the wind. If I listened close enough I could hear people walking on the path not far from where we went off trial to this clearing.
Birds were chirping in the trees and the squirrels where chasing each other though the bush and around tree trunks. The rustling of leaves as wind whipped through the tops of the trees, and the soft breeze, that made it’s way through the maze of bush and trees, swept my hair around my face.
I loved being out here, it was peaceful and relaxing. The nature was surrounding everyone and everything in it’s little blanket of leaves and branches. The forest giving shelter to all kinds of animals.
These were the times I took for granted the most. I loved being outside surrounded by nature, and every time I got to do this I would occupy myself with anything but enjoying my surroundings. This time I was going to enjoy it as much as I could.
I wanted to explore around. I wanted to see what else was around here. I had to see what was around. The more I focused on what was around me, the more I had the urge to get up and look around. Something was different about this place; it was like a chill running through my body.
Something was here, and I had to find out what it was. I’m curious by nature and this feeling made me want to look around. The others obviously didn’t notice anything different about this place. Heck, it was enough of a way off any beaten path that it was obvious that nobody came here. Never wandered over here. And I want to wander a little more.
