Red Skys and Royal CardsKai’s POV
The market was so different from everything I have ever experience before. And Sky letting us go off on our own was so exhilarating. I haven’t had this much freedom in a long time, and I was going to enjoy it. I saw Luhan and Sehun go off on their own a little while back, I wasn’t worried or anything. Both of them could handle themselves.
I looked at many booths, but one caught my eye. D.O Hyung had just looked at it quickly before moving on, but I wanted to take a better look. There was something off about this one.
Walking up to the table that had may pieces of jewelry set out I looked at all of them closely. “Is there something in particular you are looking for, young man?” Asked the elderly lady sitting behind the table.
“I want to get my girlfriend something special for our anniversary, but I don’t know what yet.” I answered. I need to come up with something that would allow me to stay here and look at the items a little more closely, and that was all that came to mind.
“She must be very special for you to come looking for something so special. Tell me what she likes and I might be able to find something that would be perfect.” The lady said as she leaned forward.
How the heck am I supposed to describe Sky to this lady? I don’t know her as well as some of the others do. I looked the lady over again and that’s when I spotted it. A case. Just like the one Sky carries. A case that carries Cards.
Oh, crap, this lady was a Dealer. If she ever found out I was a Warrior, I was screwed. Why did this have to happen to me of all people! Now I see why D.O just walked away.
But other than that, there was something about this that I had to take a closer look at. I was going to do something risky and stupid, I just hoped it worked. “My girlfriend is a collector you could say. She collects cards.”
I hinted that Sky was a Dealer, to anyone other than another Dealer I knew it would sound so much different. But a Dealer would understand what I was referring to. “Ah, well then, young man, you have come to the right place. I think I have the perfect gift for your girlfriend.” The lady said, a smile tugging at her lips.
I watched her carefully as she looked around in a small cabinet next to her. Her eyes lit up as she pulled a bag out and placed in on her lap. She put a small black raised platform on the table in front of me. Pulling a silver chain out she placed it on the black velvet.
“I’ve had this for a while now, and I wanted to find it a proper owner. No human has a right to own this little treasure.” She said. “Would you like a little history of this treasure of mine?”
What was it she was trying to show me? “Sure, my girlfriend would love it if I knew the history of something.”
“A bright girl you have there, Dealer.” Oh thank goodness she thinks I’m a Dealer! “This necklace is said to have belonged to some of the first Dealers ever written about. This is supposedly a possession of the Royal Family. Now, this is only what I have heard about this little treasure of mine.”
Beside the necklace she placed twelve charms, each of a silver card. Each with intricate detail on the face. My eyes widened when I saw this piece of art. “It’s perfect.” I breathed.
“If you like it that much, then if you promise to give this to your girlfriend I will give you my extra Card that I have no need for. I have a full Deck and no use for another Card.” She said, placing a Card beside the necklace.
The Card had the photo of a bright ring of fire surrounding a shadowed figure. “I promise.” I whispered in awe. “Guys!” I called.
The others came over and all stopped as they looked at the piece I found. “How much?” I asked.
“It’s hard to part with, but I know your girlfriend will adore this. So, I’ll give you everything you see here to you for thirty dollars. Is that fair?” The lady said and looked over at my other brothers.
I nodded and nudged Suho. Handing the
