Red Skys and Royal CardsRushing into the kitchen I looked around for who was in there. But there was no one. The room was empty and the only thing different was the broken glass on the ground. I looked over at Chanyeol beside me, scared at what might have caused that or where the glass came from.
None of the windows were broken, so the glass wasn’t from one of those. “I’ll go look.” Chanyeol whispered to me, motioning me to wait while he went around the island to see what had caused the broken glass.
I actually felt a little safer knowing Chanyeol was here, even though he acted like an over grown child, he had his moments. Like earlier when he defended me and now. But I still find it a little hard to look past his fun and overly happy personality.
Chanyeol flashed me his large, bright smile and waved me over. Trusting him that everything was all right, I made my over beside him, taking care to avoid stepping on the glass and hurting myself.
Chanyeol smiled and pointed at the center of the broken glass to a Card shining with a soft green glow. Picking it up the light faded. The Card was similar to Chanyeol’s, the back was the silver and gold diamond shaped swirling, but the picture on the front was different. It was a picture of a figure with vines surrounding him and wrapping around his body.
“Is this another Card?” I asked myself out loud.
“Yes. Now Claim him so I can watch as he goes crazy over your insanity like I did.” Chanyeol laughed.
I smirked, “So you admit you were crazy?”
His eyes widened before smirking himself, “Are you admitting you are insane?”
I huffed a breath, “I can never win with you, Chanyeol.”
His bright smile came back, “Nope!”
Shacking my head, I raised the Card to my lips and kissed it. The feeling of being surrounded by a forest and the calming feeling of nature rushed through me. Removing the Card from my lips the sensation faded and right in front of me materialized a boy around my height, maybe an inch shorter. His eyes were large, as if he was surprised all the time. I found it rather cute. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a forest green pullover sweater with a pair of beige leather sandals.
“Master.” The new nameless warrior said. His voice was sweet to the ears and I spaced out for a moment listening to it.
Chanyeol, oh-so-rudely, elbowed me gained my attention and bringing me back to reality. I shook my head, “You don’t have to call me Master.”
The Warrior looked at me curiously, before his gaze swung over to Chanyeol and he nodded his head as if they knew each other. I looked over at Chanyeol and he did the same. “Do you know each other?” I asked to either of them who would answer.
My new Warrior replied first, “
