Red Skys and Royal CardsThe rest of the first week at Red Sky Academy went blissfully well. In the mornings it was all lecture on history as well as math and language. The afternoons were all focused on using our Warriors and training, lots of fighting as well.
With Chanyeol, D.O and Luhan as my Warriors, and the time the four of us put in outside of classes, we were unbeatable. The small flaws I noticed as I watched the other students while engaged in these battles were what I targeted when I battled them, and it always left the Dealer I was fighting stumped and with no escape.
Luhan began to open up to me a little, but he still tried to keep the Dealer-Warrior relationship between us. Chanyeol and D.O had started acting like we were a family and tried to forget that I was their Dealer that had all the control over them if I gave them a single command. On the property the school had given me, we treated each other as friends and family. And I loved it.
Although when we left the iron gate, they tried to act as much like the way Warriors were supposed to around their Dealers. I was hoping to eventually get that to stop with the boys, but I was taking it step by step.
Luhan was going to take the longest to crack and it was going to take a long time to even get him to treat me like a friend and not the Dealer that Claimed his Card. But I was going to sweeten him up eventually. I wanted all my Warriors to see each other, and me, as their family.
I was glad when the two day break came around. All I did in class was practice and train with the three Cards, and put in even more practice outside of class so I was able to prove to everyone that I was not a push over. Even though our views were different and I was new to this, I was stronger than them and was not to be messed with with the Cards I held.
Even if my three Cards were of different Specialties and were not as strong as they were when they were matched with Cards of the same Specialty, they could still work together as a team that is stronger together then some of the other Cards the Dealers have.
As soon as I got home from class I plopped myself on the couch and stretch out, kissing the three Cards as I draped my arm over my eyes and groaned. I was tired and I wanted to rest for the night.
I felt when the three boys were now standing beside me. I could feel their gazes on me as I lay there. “Go do something.” I groaned peaking out at them.
“Are you feeling okay, Sky?” D.O asked concerned.
“Just tired. Go entertain yourselves, I’m sleeping, don’t bother me.” I replied before covering my eyes again and listened to hear them walk away.
I never did hear them leave, but they never bothered me. I must have fallen asleep since the next time I opened my eyes the sky was dark and I was covered with a thick blanket. Rubbing my eyes I sat up and looked around. Luhan was sitting on the opposite couch reading a book, Chanyeol was sprawled on the floor and D.O was flipping through a cookbook on the chair at my feet.
Swinging myself up so I was sitting up I gained the attention of the boys. Chanyeol and D.O smiled softly at me, while Luhan just nodded politely but didn’t seem to want to break the silence. Sighing I pushed the blanket away from me and got up.
“Did you just sit around while I was sleeping?” I asked them.
“No.” Chanyeol responded as he stretched out even more.
“We were training in the backyard before we decided to wait for you to get up to see if you wanted to join us by the pool for a little while.” Chanyeol continued.
“It’s dark out and you want to go swimming? After training for a few hours? Are you serious, Chanyeol?” I asked, taken aback that that was why they were lounging around.
“Yes.” He affirmed flashing me that smile of his. This time it was bordering on creepy.
I really did find the strangest Warriors out there. Why wouldn’t they just go poolside while I was asleep and I would join them when I woke up? Sometimes I really didn’t understand these boys.
“Fine, let’s go swimming. I’m going to go change, and the three of you better as well. Meet me outside and while you're at it deal with the lighting issue.” I told them as I went up to my room and changed into my black bikini.
Pulling a hoodie on, I made my way outside. The boys were already there standing around the pool waiting for me. I saw that Chanyeol had dealt with lighting since there were little floating flames all around the pool and even some floating above our heads and the pool to light everywhere.
It really was breathtaking looking around the yard that was now alight with the fire. “It’s very beautiful, Chanyeol, thank you. Now let’s have fun tonight.”
Jumping into the pool I let the heated water surround me before swimming back to the surface and floating around. Chanyeol didn’t come near the water though. I swam over to him and propped my hands on the sides of the pool and my chin rested on my forearms.
“Are you not coming in?” I asked him.
He shock his head, “Water and I don’t get along.”
“Ah, sorry, I forgot. Let me know if you are getting bored all right?”
“Of course, Sky, now go have fun.” He said and shooed me away.
