Red Skys and Royal CardsI opened my eyes to look at the new Warrior who remained in the doorway. He had short, light brown hair and round, squishable cheeks. He was just as handsome as the others, and he had this adorable aura around him. But his expression was so cold and unfeeling that it hurt.
“Come sit.” I called over to him. He shook him head and stayed where he was. “I’m not mad. Please join the rest of us.”
I didn’t want him to feel left out. If he was the one that caused this to happen then all I can do is forgive him, he doesn’t know me, so I can’t fault him for doing this. What I was a little upset about was how worried I had the others. I was grateful to them for helping me, but I wished that they wouldn’t have had to suffer because of this.
I know what I did back in the forest was stupid, but I somehow knew I had to have that Card, even if this happened because of it. The new Warrior reminded me a lot of Suho and Luhan when they first came, cold, unfeeling, hateful, and hurt. I didn’t like that all to much, it was hard to look at him like that. Just like with the two older boys I was sure I could make him relax a little and accept me. One step at a time I would help him open up to me.
I sat up so I was sitting between Chanyeol and Chen, My legs were still on Chen and I was leaning on Chanyeol, still craving his warmth. I looked over at D.O. “Would you get me some hot tea, D.O? Please.”
He got up immediately, “Of course, Sky.” He scurried off to the kitchen, bumping his shoulder into the new Warrior’s who grunted as his shoulder got pushed back. “Be nice, D.O, and apologize!” I called to him.
I didn’t hear him answer but I was going to assume he was going to ignore that remark. They can all be such children at times, but I love them for it. It makes things livelier around here.
“I’ll go get you some blankets.” Kai offered as he left the room, bumping into the Warrior the same as D.O had not moments ago. Coming back in he did it again causing him to stumble forwards a little. “Kai!” I hissed as he came over. “Apologize!”
“No.” He said as he gave me the blanket and wrapped it around me. “He deserves much worse, so no, I will not tell him I’m sorry when I’m clearly not.”
The others nodded their heads in agreement with Kai’s truthful words. D.O came back and gave me the cup of tea I gratefully sipped from. I felt the heated liquid warm my insides as it settled in my stomach. It was a nice feeling as I sat there and just enjoyed the company of everyone. All but the new Warrior who stayed in the doorway.
“Why don’t you tell me your name?” I asked as I looked over at the boy. He just looked back at me and never spoke a word, “Did I do something to upset you?” I asked not sure why he wouldn’t say anything and looked at me with hate in his eyes. I blinked before looking over at the boys to see if they knew what was going on, “Did I do something wrong again?”
“No, Sky, you didn’t do anything wrong.” Luhan answered before glancing over at the boy, “He just doesn’t like Dealers.”
“Oh.” I looked the boy up and down, maybe that was why I was in pain trying to get his Card. He doesn’t like Dealers, so he obviously doesn’t want to be with me. “Do you not want to be here?” I asked him as he stood there.
“No, I would rather not be here.” He said, his voice so easy to get caught in.
If he didn’t want to be here then just like with Baekhyun I wouldn’t force him to stay. He had the choice to go, and if he choose to do so then I can’t stop him, even if the connection I feel with him is screaming at me not to let him go, I have to.
“No. Please no.”
