Red Skys and Royal Cards“Xiuminie?” I sang as I plopped down beside him. Everyone is still gathered around Tao, all except Chanyeol that is. Its clear Tao is going to say nothing and Chanyeol is enjoying watching the boy squirm.
“Tao can you get me some water?” I asked him.
“Yes!” He exclaimed and practically ran from the room. Seems he has been looking for an escape for a while now, and his brothers weren’t going to let him go anywhere anytime soon if they had a say in it.
I looked around at the rest of the boys in the room. “Don’t be to hard on him guys. He didn’t do anything.”
“Then would you mind giving us an explanation?” Kai shot back.
“He helped me out last night when I needed it.” I answered. “I don’t know what you all are thinking but forget it. Just go easy on him, he didn’t do anything wrong.”
Chanyeol laughed lowly and we all turned to look at him. “What is it?” Suho shot at him. Suho was still pacing around and if I looked at the others they were all fidgeting in some way.
“Tao should run, and run far.” He commented as he looked around at the others.
“Why?” I questioned.
Tao had yet to come back into the room, and I am starting to suspect he was doing that on purpose. I knew he was a little reserved and he did mention that the others weren’t pleased when he did this. So maybe that was what was wrong. With Chanyeol and Baekhyun they also mentioned that Tao was going to be in trouble, so this must be why.
“Tao should know better than to mess with time without telling one of the Hyungs about it first.” Chanyeol stated as if it was something they all should know.
Kris didn’t waist a second to growl, “He did what?”
“Calm down Kris.” Luhan scolded him. “Hear everything out before reacting so harshly.”
Well at least Luhan is somewhat levelheaded, the others, not so much. Then again, I can’t say he is being completely calm about this, I can tell he’s just as pissed. Exactly why I can’t say, but something about it is bothering them immensely. It takes a lot to get Suho to pace, and close to nothing will get Kris to become this fidgety thus clearly something is up.
“Seriously, what’s got you all in a knot?” I asked them as I settled in my seat.
Xiumin chuckled from beside me, “Tao already knows that he shouldn’t just play with time, and messing with it without telling us is a rather stupid idea.” He motioned around the room, “As you can see it has some rather nasty side effects.”
D.O cut in, “There is only one thing with time that drives us all insane without our say in the matter. One thing that makes our bodies reacts without or control, and Tao is the only person capable of doing it.”
Kai laughed just as darkly. He looked like he was restraining himself from bouncing around the room. “Hyung really shouldn’t have done what he did.” Kai as well pointed around the room, “So obviously put, our bodies don’t react well to time being slowed down. Stopped or reversed isn’t an issue since we never react like this to it.” He stopped seeming lost for words to describe it.
Lay shook his head and his right leg taped to an inaudible fast beat, “Tao’s Specialty, it’s unique and very strange. While we all have some pretty different powers, Tao’s is by far the strongest and dangerous. And we don’t react well to time when it’s manipulated in ways it shouldn’t be; one clear example, when time is slowed to alarming rates. Unlike Tao, you, humans and Dealers all Warriors will react the same under these conditions. When Tao slows down time, his body will match the speed and so will ever one else’s, all except Warriors. Our bodies will adjust to the time, but the affects of it adjusting last for a few hours after.”
“And that’s a bad thing how?” I questioned not fully understanding this still.
“Time shock.” Tao spoke from the entrance to the living room. A glass of water in his hand as he walked over to me, “My body is never affected since I defy all time already, but Warriors also defy time. Warrior’s don’t die easily and usually, if not destroyed, live for eternity; they defy the course of time. So when I change the speed of time their bodies adjust to it instead of matching the speed like the rest of us do. The slowed time barely affects them at all, it’s actually quite beneficial, but the moment time goes back at running at normal speed their bodies have to readjust. It’s easier to adjust to a slower time than to a faster one.”
“Keep going.” I sighed still trying to wrap my head around this.
“Hyung’s are internally speeding up their bodies to adjust to the proper flowing of time.” Tai told me, “I’ll get into greater specifics when I teach you to control this. For now all we can do is wait for them to catch up to the current time speed.”
“I was pretty sure I banned you from doing this Tao.” Kris hissed at him, “Any Warrior that gets caught up in this will be affected, just how far did this spread?”
“About two blocks.” Tao muttered.
“You’ve gone and messed up big time Tao Hyung.” Sehun growled as he kept playing with his hands.
I sighed, “Stop blaming him guys, he didn’t do it because he wanted to alright. I made him, it’s my fault so if you are going to blame anyone, blame me.” Really this isn’t Tao fault and no matter how much they want to place the blame on him they really can’t. I asked him to help me, well I kind of m
