    Nari spinned around her apartment.  Her frilly dress danced in the air, her hair flowed behind her, and her smile lit up the room.  The only thing that stopped her from being in her fantasy land, where she was dancing in a gorgeous ballroom with her prince, was being held by the shoulders.  She snapped out and locked eyes with her prince: Yoo Kihyun.  The way his eyes sparkled, his nose scrunched in his smile, his teeth showing with his lips curved up, and his puffy cheeks made Nari's chest feel light and fluffy.  The ribbon that she held in her as she was dancing fell beside them.

"You're home early."  Nari commented.

Kihyun shrugged.  "I wanted to surprise you."  He replied.  "Is this what you do while I'm gone?  Dance?"  He asked.

"Well.."

"I would like to dance with you if that's the case."  He said with a chuckle.

Nari blushed and put the ribbon around his neck.  "Let's dance then."  She said.

She guided him into the dance, following the soft rhythm of the music playing in the room.  They glided across the room together.  Kihyun held her sides and brought them closer.  The dance stopped as they put their lips together.  Nari giggled and kissed the man back.  Kihyun's hold on her was gentle; however, he wanted to be closer.  "Cuddle time."  He said.

"What about dinner?"  Nari asked.

"Cuddle first."  He answered in a pout.

Nari laughed at the man's cuteness.  And how was she supposed to say no to him when he's being this adorable?  She nodded and sat on the couch with him.  They were practically laying down together with her back being against the man's chest.  Kihyun closed his eyes as they stayed like that.  Nari's heart was racing.  Yes, she was deeply in love with Kihyun, and any loving thing he did made her heart flutter.

But the biggest thing was that she's been decorating the apartment for Kihyun's birthday.  She was about to take the ribbon to another room.  Thankfully, Kihyun hasn't gone into the room to see the decorations.  She wants to make a memorable birthday.  His first present to her was being her friend; her first present to him was confessing her feelings to him.  And most recently, Kihyun's present was that they moved into an apartment together.  Well this year, Nari wanted to gift Kihyun with a present like no other: she wants to propose.  Nari knows that he's the one.

"What are your plans for tomorrow?"  Kihyun asked.  "I know that you're up to something."

Nari smirked.  "I don't know yet."  She lied.  "What do you want to do?"  She asked.

"Cuddle."  He replied.  "That's the best thing in the world."  He continued.

"I'll see what I can do."  She said.  "Maybe I'll hang out with Hyungwon tomorrow."

Kihyun held her closer.  "Better not, it's my birthday, not his."  He complained.

Nari laughed and sat up.  "Of course, Dummy."  She teased.  "I'm hungry."  She left for the kitchen.

Kihyun followed her to the kitchen.  "Minhyuk said that he would cover half of my shift tomorrow."  He started.  "So I'll be home after 1pm." 

Nari put a plate of food on the table for him.  "I'll be here."  She said.

"I know, you took the whole week of vacation time."  He said with a laugh.  "Why?"

"To prepare."  She answered simply.

Kihyun raised his eyebrow as she sat down in front of him.  "I thought you said that you had no plans."  He commented.

Nari scratched her head.  "You know that I can't keep my lies straight."  She said with a shrug.

Kihyun had an amused smile.  After eating, he showered up before cuddling next to her.  She dug her face into his chest and smiled to sleep.

Kihyun waited for his elevator to reach his floor.  He had a cup of coffee in one hand and his briefcase in the other.  His heart skipped a beat as right once he walked out, a loud pop went off.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!"  The office shouted.

Kihyun had the widest eyes as he saw streamers and confetti, which he knows that he will have to clean tomorrow.  He bowed and looked at the decorations.  "Congrats for being half of fifty."  Hyungwon said.

Kihyun rolled his eyes and accepted the bag that Hyungwon held toward him.  He put it with the collection of bags that were littered all over his desk.  He was never excited for Hyungwon's gifts.  He always re-gifts things the office has gotten for his birthday. 

The manager came by.  "Present time.  Stop working and come over here."  He ordered.

The manager was similar to Michael from The Office.  He celebrated everything and forced the entire office to celebrate everything with him.  For almost an hour, Kihyun opened presents and spoke to coworkers about the gifts.  Of course, Kihyun's thankful for all of the gifts; however, his attention was on the fact that he knew Nari was up to something.  He watched the clock strike one o'clock.  He stood up and went to Minhyuk's cubicle.  The male had just arrived.

"Thanks for covering my shift."  Kihyun said.

"Of course,"  Minhyuk smiled, "you covered for my birthday."

"Have fun with the guys."  Kihyun waved.

Kihyun left the office and drove back to their shared apartment.  He breathed in and out in anticipation.  He walked up the stairs and right away, he saw a balloon beside the door and a letter on the door.  He took the card and traced the heart that was on the outside.  He then opened the card:

"Happy birthday, Mr. Yoo.

I hope you'll enjoy the party~ 😊💖"

Kihyun unlocked the door with a big smile.  He saw hearts leading through to the kitchen.  There, a set of candles were placed around.  A glass of wine stood in the center of petals on the table.  He picked up the glass and took a sip as he followed the row of hearts littered on the floor.  It was another mess he would have to clean up tomorrow.  However, his attention was set on the door the hearts ended at.  It was the spare room. He turned the knob.  The instant the door was opened, Kihyun was caressed by the beautiful aroma of food.

He first saw ribbons lining the walls, showing off the sign that wished him a happy birthday.  His eyes then fixed on the table of food prepared for two.  He saw an empty spot on the table, a space large enough for the glass he was holding.  He put the glass in its place.  He then heard the door close.  He turned around to see an angel he calls Nari.  Her gorgeous lavender dress flowed around her; the bottoms had sparkles and the sleeves were translucent.  Her hair was in a wrapped bun with hair glitter sparkling from each way. 

The most beautiful part about her, in Kihyun's opinion, was her smile.  He couldn't help but copy the smile.  "Happy birthday, Lovely."  She spoke softly.

Kihyun walked up to her, putting his hands gently on her hips.  He couldn't help but kiss Nari.  "I love you."  He whispered after their sweet kiss.

Nari giggled and guided him to the table.  "Let's eat."  She insisted.

Kihyun obeyed her.  He noticed a little red box in the center of the table.  His eyes lingered there for only five seconds, but Nari noticed.  "You'll get that after we eat."  She said simply.

Kihyun nodded.  "You really didn't have to do all of this."  He said.

"I know,"  Nari agreed, "but I did it.  I think that I'm allowed to spoil my boyfriend."  She said proudly.

"You are,"  KIhyun confirmed, "just know that my love for you goes way beyond material things."  He said.

Nari's smile grew as she ate.  While they ate together, Kihyun updated her about the drama at work and how the office will be when she returns.  Once they were finished eating, Kihyun sat back in his seat and held his tummy with a satisfied smile.  Meanwhile, Nari was hyping herself up for this moment.  You can do this!  She stood up and organized the plates and bowls, leaving the red box at the center.

Kihyun just looked into the eyes of the woman before him, her eyes sparkled against the flickering flames of the candles.  "Go ahead."  She allowed.

Kihyun curiously picked up the box.  Opening it, he sees a gorgeous set of diamonds shaped into two small hearts on a gold band.  He widened his eyes and looked up from the rings.  He then noticed that Nari moved to his side of the table.  "Yoo Kihyun, for your twenty-fifth birthday, will you be my one and only?"  She asked.  "Will you marry me?"

Tears were starting in Kihyun's eyes as he searched Nari's orbs.  "Y-yes, yes!"  He replied.  "Nari, of course!"  He half-shouted before putting his arms around her.  "I love you so much."  He said through tears.

"Why are you crying, Babe?"  Nari asked in a chuckle.

"I just.."  KIhyun pulled back.  "I wanted to ask the same thing last year, but I thought you wouldn't be ready."  He admitted.

Nari smiled.  "I understand.. I wasn't ready yet last year, but I am now."  She replied.  "Are you ready?"

"I'm beyond ready."  Kihyun answered.  "Instead of proposing, I got us an apartment with two bedrooms: one for us and this one for our child, when we're ready." He explained.

Nari blushed.  "I.. I think that I'm ready."  She said.  "What do you think about a honeymoon baby?"  She asked.

Kihyun's cheeks were burning.  "Hehe.. Sounds romantic."  He answered.

Nari picked up the bigger ring and put it on Kihyun's finger.  He then picked up the other ring, gently sliding it down her finger.  "I love you."  He whispered against her lips.

"I love you too."  Nari returned, kissing him passionately.
