Plot
The event takes place in high school. Anne has been Yesung's seemingly "best friend" for a long time and loves him but he doesn't really care about her and he likes another girl, or so he thought. Y/n felt rejected and even more so when Yesung finds uses in her to only help him get the girl he likes. One of the members (Ryeowook maybe?) found out about her situation wanted to tease Yesung and decided to ask y/n out, helping Yesung realise that it is not the other girl that he likes but Anne. Yesung who initially didn't know what was going on then, gets jealous.

     "Anne! Anne!" Yesung was calling out. "Why are you being like this?" He asked, catching up to her and holding her hand.

"Well maybe you should have thought about me before you went after some.. Woman!" Anne bit back, taking her hand back. "Leave me alone!" She stomped her foot.

Yesung sighed and put a hand through his thick bangs. How did he make Anne upset? How did he do it? My best friend, my sister, my.. He widened his eyes. The love of my life. He realized. The events that led up to this day have been things he couldn't forget.

It started ten years ago when Anne and Yesung met. They were only seven and six then, she being older than he was. They were only a few months apart, but it made a difference to them. Anne would always , as if he was her little brother. Truthfully, Anne doesn't have any siblings. She grew up with her foster parents. Yesung was the only boy she hung out with, and the only person she ever hung out with.

Some girls would ridicule her for having only a boy friend, and oftentimes accused them of doing things together. One thing that always was true, was that Anne had a crush on Yesung. The cute little boy that stumbled up to the playground with his chubby cheeks introduced himself.

"Hi~ I'm Yesung~" He waved.

Anne patted his head. "You're cute." She said. "Let's go on the swingset." She pointed.

The two would always find each other in the evenings at the playground. Anne never saw his parents coming by to pick him up when it got dark. After a couple years of noticing this, Anne had to ask. He literally knew everything about her, she needed to find out one mystery he has.

"Where are your parents?" She asked, walking beside the boy.

Yesung looked down at the road. "I.. Don't really have any.." He answered, running a branch along the fence.

She tilted her head. "Who do you go home to then?" She asked.

Yesung looked at the girl. "Oftentimes, I like to pretend that I go home to you." He said, watching her kick a pebble. "I like to think about your smile and you holding up a pan of cookies for me to have." He looked at Anne with a smile. He smiled too. "But I go home to my drunk uncle, most of the time." He continued.

She nodded and kept her eyes on the bridge. "Maybe you can come over from time to time then." She said. "You're my best friend, after all." She smiled.

He looked at the girl and smiled in return. "As long as it's okay, I don't want to annoy your parents." He said.

She shook her head. "They love you to pieces, they wouldn't get annoyed of you." She assured.

And after that, Yesung would find himself staying over with Anne's parents often. He took the couch in the family room whenever he came over. Anne would often wander during the night, and end up laying down on the other couch and talking the night away with the boy.

She would hold his hand as they fell asleep by one o'clock in the morning. Anne's parent's saw it. She always smiled so sweetly at the boy and did everything for him. She would make him breakfast whenever he didn't stay over; she would wash his track clothes and hang them to dry on the roof; she would even walk him home whenever they couldn't spend the night together.

They saw how in-love the girl was. And they supported her all the way. When she came to them and told them, they were excited, trying to hint to Yesung that she liked him.

However, everyone's smiles went down the day Yesung said something else.

"Anne," Yesung walked up to the girl and put his arm around her, "you see that girl over there?" He pointed.

Anne looked across the field to see a girl she recognized. "Oh, Mina?" She said.

He hummed. "I like her." Yesung said. "I'm going to ask her out on a date, wish me luck, okay?" He smiled.

Anne faked a smile and nodded. "Yeah.. Sure, have fun." She cheered him on.

She watched him walk across the field. She sighed as he saw them smiling and laughing together. She also watched Mina nod her head. It took a lot out of her not to cry her eyes out as she watched them hold hands and walk away together.

Anne was taken out of her daze when someone put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey," The male said, "what are you doing on the field?" He asked.

Anne smiled and waved at the younger. "I was just seeing Yesung." She answered. "But he left, Ryeowook." She sighed.

Ryeowook raised his eyebrows. "What happened?" He asked.

"This guy is seriously an idiot." Anne huffed. "He doesn't realize how much I love him, does he? He's going out with Mina." She threw her arms up as she walked with the male in his track uniform.

Ryeowook hummed and folded his arms. "He is a really dense hyung." He chuckled. "Hey, I see his eyes whenever he sees you. He doesn't realize he likes you too." He said.

Anne huffed. "It wouldn't surprise me that he doesn't know his own feelings." She shook her head.

Ryeowook stopped walking and nodded. "Alright, let's mess with him." He said. "You're going to be my girlfriend until he realizes his feelings." He continued.

The girl looked up at him with raised eyebrows. "Seriously? You watch too many dramas, you know that?" She giggled.

He chuckled. "Well if he's going to be as dumb as a drama character, you have to go down to his level." Ryeowook put a finger up. "And I won't take it too far, just side-hugs and sweet words." He promised.

She smiled and nodded. "I know, you're a good friend." She hugged him. "Thank you for helping me with this." Anne thanked.

"Anything for my noona." Ryeowook shook her hand. "Now I need to start practice, see you at the cafe tomorrow." He waved.

"Hey," Yesung walked up to Anne, "what was that about? Seeing you at the cafe?" He asked.

Anne looked up at the boy and chuckled. "He asked me out on a date." She said. "We're both kinda lucky, aren't we? Did Mina say yes?" She asked.

Yesung hummed and looked down. "Yeah, I'm excited.." He trailed off.

She reached to pat his head. "Congrats, go be with another girl." She said.

Yesung tilted his head. "Huh?" He asked.

"You've been with me for years, I'm happy that you're hanging out with someone else too." Anne lied. "I'm going to watch Ryeowook practice for a minute, you go on ahead." She waved her hand.

Yesung narrowed his eyes on the track player. He tapped his foot silently as he watched Ryeowook run around. "Whatever.." He muttered, walking away from Anne.

Yesung closed his eyes as he sat with Mina. It would have been a good date; however, Reywook and Anne happened to pick the same cafe. They just happened to pick a table that Yesung could see them smiling back and forth.

Yesung hated it; It's not fair that another person gets to see Anne smile, to make her smile, to have her smile. He thought. He tried to distract himself with looking at Mina and the little art projects she did outside of school. They were really cool crafts that he would like to have on his person too.

But then he saw Ryeowook cup Anne's cheek. Her eyes became big and her cheeks turned pink.

That's when time started playing again. He stomped over to her table and threw Ryeowook's hand away. "Woman? What are you talking about?" He asked.

"I've been seeing you look at that girl for weeks now, not even considering your best friend until today." Anne said, pointing at a shocked Mina. "Oh no, don't even talk to the friend you've had for literally a decade.

"I've told you about all the boys I've had a crush on." Anne held her chest.

Yesung huffed. "I could have cared less about any of those guys!" Yesung shouted. "I'm the only boy in your life that you need, none of those idiot guys!" He continued.

"Then why don't you just date me then!" Anne shouted back.

Yesung took her by the forearm. "Well maybe I will." He gritted his teeth.

Ryeowook smirked and nodded, looking at Mina. "You wanna have this cupcake with me?" He asked, sitting in front of her.

Mina blushed and nodded. "Who would have known that trying to get them closer would get me closer to you." She commented. "I think this was perfect." She said, watching the best friends hug into lovers.

Ryeowook watched the viewers in the cafe clap as the new lovers kissed each other followed by another hug. "Perfect." He smiled.
