Jimin has something special in mind for Laura this year for her birthday.  And their friends are there to help Jimin out.

    Jimin walked into the dark room, only lit by the TV that was playing. Jimin saw the screen and recognized Slider strumming his guitar. Instantly, scenes played in his mind about how that game got into the custody of Laura: his girlfriend. Laura is a girl that he met years ago when his mom took him to the park. What turned from a little friendship of meeting every Saturday to play on the mary-go-round and the swings, turned into love.

So much in love, Jimin couldn't live without the girl. They moved in together. That was Laura's present two Christmases ago when they graduated high school. Jimin works with his father at his company and Laura is a student learning document processing. She prefers to sit down and look at a screen.

Which is exactly why Jimin bought the Nintendo Switch for her. For when she's done her assignments and wants to wind down from a stressful day. Animal Crossing had become a more popular game as of recent, so that was the game he coupled the console with. He's enjoyed watching the girl play and play. She always gets excited whenever the theme music plays; she would love to play it alongside Jimin too.

Jimin sat next to the girl on the couch, naturally putting his arm around her. He leans in to peck her neck. Laura looked at him after pausing the game. She smiled and kissed his full lips slowly. "Welcome home." She whispered.

Home. Home was a word that Jimin was attached to. Home meant that he was comfortable; home meant that he could relax; home meant he could be with his one and only: Laura Lu. "How was your day?" He asked.

She pushed her body into his side, slightly laying on him now. "I passed my exam." She answered, looking at the screen and talking to the characters.

Jimin smiled and patted Laura's head. "I told you that you would." He teased.

Laura giggled. "I know.." She said. "How about you?" She asked.

Jimin put his hand through her hair, playing with her short, soft locks. "Everything's going well." He answered. He thought about the day that was coming up. "What do you want to do for your birthday?" He asked.

Laura stopped and looked up at him. "My birthday? That's next month, you know." She poked him.

Jimin hummed. "I know, I'm just curious if you have any desires." He replied.

She shrugged and looked at the screen again. "Just you being there would be cool." Laura answered. "Oh and the guys too." She smiled as she imagined a fun night of bingo and soda with their friends.

Jimin chuckled. "I'll see what I can do then." He said. Unknown to her, he already has plans. "I love you." He kissed her head.

Laura blushed and got closer to him. "I love you too." She returned.

Next week, Jimin assembles his friends. There was Namjoon, Taehyung, Jungkook, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Seokjin. Being around a table of snacks and soda, Namjoon looked up from his phone. "So I see everyone's settled," He started, "What is it that you wanted to talk about, Min?" He asked.

Jimin looked up from his plate of food. He wiped his thumb and index finger from the cheese balls. "Okay, so I want to do something really special for Laura this year." He started. "I know last time, we went with the simple meal.'' He remembered.

Taehyung hummed. "We ordered out from different take out restaurants," He confirmed, "man, those places make some really good food." He felt his tummy.

Jungkook smirked and poked the other's shoulder. "You shouldn't go over there too often though." He teased.

Yoongi raised an interested eyebrow at the couple going back and forth with the poking. "So what do you have in mind this year?" He asked, turning his eyes back to Jimin with a smile.

Jimin put his hands together. "I know it's a little extravagant, but I was thinking we can rent out the auditorium." He looked at Namjoon. "Just for that night." He said.

Namjoon sat up straight. "I'll see what I can do." He said. "Do you want there to be a performance or something?" He asked.

Jimin shrugged. "I kinda want you all to dress up as Animal Crossing characters." He laughed.

Seokjin clapped. "I know just the thing!" He said. "My cousin has been super crazy over Animal Crossing. She makes outfits of the characters. Maybe I can ask her to tailor us a bit." He insisted.

Jimin smiled and nodded. "That sounds so cool." He clapped. "And the auditorium will be decorated like the game too. Of course we have food there." He continued. "But the most important thing.." He sighed.

Hoseok tilted his head. "Which is.." He wanted to know.

"I want to propose to Laura." Jimin said seriously. "I want us to be playing the game on the big projector. And then propose to her during the game." He continued.

Jungkook dropped his hot cheeto and Taehyung let the soda fall out of his mouth. "Seriously?" Yoongi asked. "That's just so fricken romantic." He clapped. "We have to do this." He looked at the other guys.

They all agreed. "Okay," Namjoon folded his arms, "I'll divide the tasks." He informed.

The other guys were waiting patiently for his orders. "Jin, you and I are going to decorate the auditorium; Tae and Kook will do the cooking; Yoongi and Hoseok will get the outfits and props." He dictated. "Jimin, your task is to keep Laura entertained.. And buying a ring." He winked.

Jimin blushed. "Oh yeah.. I haven't gotten a ring yet.." He chuckled.

The next week, Jungkook decided to spend time with Laura.  Sitting together at the local cafe, Laura sips on her tea.  "So how have you and the guys been?"  She asked, stirring the tea with the little spoon.

Jungkook picks up a cookie and smiles.  "Taehyung has been practicing his cooking lately."  He said, crossing his legs and dipping his cookie in the tea.

Laura looks at the boy with a questioning face.  She decides not to ask and just hums.  "I see,"  She said, "what has he been cooking lately?"  She asked, pushing a stray hair out of her eyes.

"He needs to perfect his baking so that he doesn't kill you-"  He stopped.  "Ahem, because.. You know, you like his cooking.."  Jungkook stuttered.

Laura put her tea down and is now holding her chin.  "He doesn't normally make me anything though."  She mentioned.  "But then again, we haven't seen each other since Namjoon's birthday."  She muttered.  "Why has he been taking up sweets lately then?"  She asked, looking at him in the eyes.

Jungkook always hated his eyes when it came to keeping secrets.  He looked at his tea absentmindedly.  "Oh.. Well you know, trying different things."  He said.  "So.. You've been playing Animal Crossing lately?"  He asked.

Laura clapped her hands together.  "Yes, yes!  I am so in love with that game."  She held her heart.  "It's just been so fun, and I'm so happy when Jimin plays with me.  I wish we could all play together."  She continued.

Jungkook smiled.  "Maybe sometime soon then."  He said.

"Eh?"

"I mean!"  Jungkook wiped his forehead.  "Who are your favorite characters?  I personally like the uh.. Nook dude."  He smiled.

Laura hummed.  "Tom Nook is cool.."  She muttered.  "I really like Slider.  He sings the best songs."  She closed her eyes as she imagined the songs. 

Jungkook smiled.  His heart was racing on the inside, but seeing her enjoying the topic made him relax.  Even though he was so close to spilling the beans literally twice just now.  "Why do you ask?"  She asked suddenly.

He dropped a cookie on the ground in shock.  "I was just curious!"  He answered, now flustered.  Jimin will so totally kill me if he finds out that I spoiled the surprise!!  "I've heard some students talking about the game and arguing about characters, that's all."  He lied.

Laura saw something fishy in the boy's eyes.  "Okay."  She didn't question.  "This stays between us."  She started, getting Jungkook's attention.  "I think Jimin is planning something for my birthday."  She whispered.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, trying to act surprised.  "I think everyone tries planning something special."  He chuckled.  "Like Tae got me a key chain for my birthday, and he literally bought it five months in advance."  He gave an example.  "Well what do you personally want for your birthday?"  He asked.

Laura shrugged.  "Us all to meet up and eat."  She smiled. 

"I'd like that too."  Jungkook smiled.  "I need to go to a class now.  I'll see you again soon, kay?"  He stood up.

"Okay."  She waved.

Finally, Laura's birthday came.  Jimin was having a hard time keeping it a secret too.  However, he shows up to their shared apartment, dressed in a jacket, shirt, and pants - a little bit fancy.  Laura looked up and down at the man.  Jimin could tell that the lady was already swooning.  "Hey there, birthday girl."  He greeted, walking up to her.  "Would you like to come with me to dinner?"  He asked, holding her hand while backing her up against the wall.

She blushed, looking up at him.  "Why of course."  She giggled.  "Where to?"  Laura asked.

"You'll see."  Jimin smiled, leaning down.  He kissed her lips ever so softly.  Neither of them wanted to stop the kiss as Jimin's hands found themselves on her hips.

Laura giggled when they parted.  "Do you want dinner?  Or do you want dinner?"  She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Food first, then food."  He winked.

Laura blushed as she was walked out of the apartment.  She sat down in his car and watched the road as they drove.  She noticed that they drove to the college campus not too far from the apartment.  They parked in front of the auditorium.

He held her hand as they walked in together.  Instantly, she saw the words Animal Crossing written on the inside wall with the font.  She then saw a hat on the table.  "I'll be Slider,"  Jimin put the hat on himself, "you can be.. Laura."  He put the hat of hair on her head.

She giggled and looked around, seeing apples hung up around and little money bags too.  "What is all of this..?"  Laura asked, having a bright smile on her face.

Jimin smiled and shrugged.  "Let's keep going."  He insisted.

Instantly, she saw the other guys there.  Jungkook has a Tom Nook hat on; Taehyung is Angus; Yoongi is Apollo; Seokjin is Audie; Hoseok is Bam; and Namjoon is Cesar.

There was food laid out everywhere with drinks.  "Wow.."  She was amazed.

"And while you're eating.."  Namjoon started and took out a remote, clicking a button.

Laura saw the screen coming down and the image of Animal Crossing's home screen on it.  "Wow!  C'mon guys, you gotta play with me."  She rushed to the table. with the controllers on it.

She picked one up and sat down with it.  Jimin took his place on a chair next to but a little bit behind her.  Laura's eyes were glued to the screen while eating the food prepared by Jungkook and Taehyung.

The guys watch the screen as Laura has fun with the game.  Some of them were playing along too on their devices as the screen was only casting from Laura's console.

Jimin's character met Laura's, giving a wave.  Laura giggled and waved back.  Jimin's character had a message bubble above him: "Hey there Laura, please turn around ^^"

Laura raised her eyebrows, turning her character around.  When nothing happened after, she was confused.  She turned back in her chair, now seeing Jimin on the floor kneeling.  She gasped when he opened the box in his hands.

"Laura Lu, will you marry me?"  Jimin proposed.

The other guys were watching with big smiles as the girl didn't hesitate to leap at Jimin.  "Yes, yes!"  She hugged him.

Jimin chuckled and pulled back, holding her hand.  He put the box down and took out the ring.  He then slid the ring down her finger, the little diamond resting on her knuckle.  "I love you."  Jimin said.

Laura pulled Jimin into another hug.  "I love you so much."  She returned before kissing his lips.  The guys around them clapped. 

"Happy birthday!!"  They shouted.

Jimin got in his proposal with the help of his friends.
But seriously, Kook, you were way too obvious XD
