Yuri has been stood up by her boyfriend on a date night and the waitress keeps asking if she's ready to order but she keep asking for more time hoping that he's just late. Just as she decide to just get up and leave, this boy she has never seen sits down and acting like her boyfriend who is late because of the traffic.

   Yuri looked at herself in the mirror. She has a date tonight. She had to make sure she looked perfect. First, she picked out a red gown. The thought of it being a simple coffee shop made her shake her head. "Too formal." She said aloud. She took the dress off and went back to her closet. She put a pair of shorts on followed by a shirt. She then realized that it would be cold by the time they got out.

"Too relaxed." She said before choosing a pair of navy jeans. She coupled it with a red tunic and a long sweater. "That's cute." She smiled at herself. "Wonwoo will swoon." She said

She put lipstick on that matched the tunic and then put her eyeshadow on. She nodded and picked her purse up. She put a hand through her hair. "Perfect!" She clapped.

She felt young again. Yuri is twenty-six years old. The last time she went on a date was when she was eighteen. She had to have confidence today. It was her and Wonwoo's third date. They have been dating for three months. The man is a poet. He wanted to have a date on every new moon.

Yuri found it romantic of course. She made it to the little coffee shop. She was five minutes early, so not seeing him wasn't a surprise.

"Would you like to order, Miss?" The waitress asked.

"Not yet, I'm waiting for my date." Yuri replied politely.

The lady bowed and walked away. Meanwhile, Yuri put her hands on the table, intertwining her fingers. She hummed quietly a little tune about a windy day.

Next thing she knew, thirty minutes passed by. She pouted her lips and looked at her phone. "Have you decided yet?" The waitress asked.

"I'm still waiting for him. " Yuri replied with a smile.

The lady bowed once more and left Yuri's table. Yuri inwardly sighed, tapping her fingers on the table silently. It's unlike him to be late.. I hope he's okay.. She watched the sun go down through the window. Her tongue was getting dry, but she wanted to wait. She wanted to be a good girlfriend and wait.

Another forty minutes pass, making Wonwoo a whole hour late. Yuri looked up from the table to see the waitress walking up to her for the nth time. Yuri sighed and stood up.

"I'm here!" A man said, walking up to the table. "I'm sorry, Love. Traffic wasn't on my side tonight. Please let me make it up to you?" He requested.

Yuri raised her eyebrows, she had never seen this man in her life. "What would you like to order?" The waitress asked.

"Iced coffee and cinnamon rolls for me. A decaf hot chocolate for the lady." The man answered. "It's on me." He gave the waitress some money.

The waitress bowed and walked away. The man slowly looked at Yuri. She had a look of confusion. "Let me introduce myself, I'm Kim Mingyu." He said.

"Han Yuri.. how did you know I wanted a decaf hot chocolate?" She asked.

Mingyu shrugged. "It's late but you look like you like soft chocolate. " He answered.

"Why did you come by though?" Yuri asked.

Mingyu scratched his head. "I've been sitting here for thirty minutes.  My boss was supposed to meet me here, but something came up." He started. "I noticed you were waiting for your date, but I guess he decided not to tell you that something came up." He explained.

Yuri furrowed her eyebrows. "Are you implying that he stood me up?" She asked.

"Yes." He answered simply. "He's a loser. He doesn't know how to appreciate a girl who would wait all night to even drink a glass of water." He huffed.

Yuri sighed. "I knew it was too good to be true, I guess I'm just not dating material.." she muttered.

Mingyu reached across the table to flick her forehead.  "Hey, I just said he's unappreciative. You're great girlfriend material." He scolded. "I would feel guilty for being so late. " He folded his arms.

the waitress came by, giving them their order. Yuri waited for her to leave before looking at the new male. "So what, your girlfriend would be upset that you're drinking with a lady that is newly single." She commented.

Mingyu shrugged. "I'm single, only my mom would be upset with me flirting with a single girl." He said, taking a bite of a cinnamon roll. "Have one." He offered.

Yuri looked him up and down before taking one. "You're flirting?" She asked.

Mingyu chuckled. "I guess you're not good at dating. Or I am. I haven't dated anyone since I was eighteen." He commented.

"Me either.." She muttered.

Mingyu smiled. "Day one?" He asked.

"Hm?"

"We have a lot in common." Mingyu said. "Why don't we meet back here a week from now. And if I show up on time, you get to give me your number." He offered.

Yuri smiled with a huff. "Confident. You're on." She said.

"And I don't know who that guy is, but a gentleman arrives to the date before the lady. " Mingyu inserted. "So I'll be waiting for you. Don't stand me up." He pointed.

Yuri smiled softly. "I think you're automatically better than the other one." She muttered.

Mingyu smiled. "I want to know more about you, Han Yuri. Maybe we can have weekly dates. I want mom to know I met a dedicated lady." He showed his teeth.

Yuri blushed. He looked like a cute puppy with that smile.  He’s sweet..

It took me forever, but here we are!
Mingyu stepped up to the table and made sure to make Yuri happy.
Let's hope that their future goes better~
