"You need to grab this chance, Wes. You're a smart guy. I know you have big plans, and this is a start to make it all come true." Chun told him. Wes nodded his head. "You can stay with me and Ella. You get a monthly allowance too with your scholarship. All you have to do is say yes to this scholarship. Not everyone gets the chance to study here." Chun convinced him.

"Chun ge... I understand that. But... but my sister needs me. And Fei Fei..." Wes said. He was hesitant about accepting the scholarship, because it means he'll be away from his family and friends. "I know Fei Fei will understand. Please, accept this scholarship, all right?" Chun pleaded him. "I... I'll think about it, Chun ge..." Wes told him. 

"Well, you have more time to think about it. But once you received the letter of acceptance, then you should have made you decision by that time." Chun said. Wes nodded his head.

Graduation day. 

"Congratulations, new graduates!"

The students cheered after their principal said that. Finally, they're all free from high school, and it's time to move on to college. "I'm a grown up now!" Wes heard Evan say. "Time to chase cute girls in college!" Win said. The two gave each other a high five. "Hey, you two are not even sure if you'll pass the exams, right?" he told them. Evan and Win just rolled their eyes at him. 

"Congratulations!"

Wes heard Wayne and Diana greet him. "Congratulations to the two of you too! Finally, we're out of high school." Wes told them. Then, Wayne let out a pout. "But we don't know if we're all going to the same university, right? I don't even know if I'm going to pass the exams, or if there is any school that will accept me." Wayne said worriedly. Wes smiled at him. "It doesn't matter which university we are all going. As long as we are still friends, and we all support each other's dream, that's all that matters." he said. 

"Then, Wes, you have decided on a school right? Are you ready for the upcoming exams?" Diana asked. Wes paused for a while. He let out a faint smile, and nodded his head. "Well, I'm glad to hear that. Wayne still haven't decided which school to go to." Diana said. "But that would depend on my grades. I really wanted to get in Bai He University. I hope I can make it." Wayne told her. Wes just smiled at him. "I know you can do it, Wayne." he said. 

"Wait, I heard Ya Lun is also planning on going to Bai He. He's going to take Architecture there..." Diana said. "Well, at least when I go to that school, I have someone I know from our school." Wayne said. "Well, I hope you and Ya Lun would get along well." Wes told him. Wayne nodded his head. 

"Guys, congratulations!" Sylvia said as she joined them. Wes smiled at her, and gave her a hug. "Congratulations, baby girl. You survived high school." he said as he pinched her nose. Sylvia just smiled at him. "Are you talking about school?" she asked. Wes nodded his head. "Wayne started it. He's getting worried about us not going into the same school. And also worrying about not being able to get in to the school he wants to go." Wes said. "Worrywart." Sylvia teased Wayne. 

"Congratulations!"

They heard Sunnee and Dylan shout to them as they approached them. "Hey, Sunnee and Dylan! Are you ready for your trip tomorrow?" Wes asked. Dylan nodded his head. "We're going to Kinmen Island tomorrow." Dylan told him. "Then, you two should take care, all right? And send us post cards." Sylvia said. Sunnee smiled, and nodded her head. "We will! I can't wait to travel the whole Taiwan with my Raccoon." Sunnee said. She looked at Dylan, and smiled at him. 

"By the way, let's take a group picture, so that we can have a memory of this day, all right?" Diana suggested. "Right! Let's take a picture!" Wayne said. Diana took out a picture, and took a lot of pictures of them six.

For the last time, Sylvia and Wes went to the school garden before they  go home. "I can't believe we're not coming back here next school year." she said. Wes smiled at her. As he held her hand, Sylvia looked at him. "Are you scared?" he asked. Sylvia smiled, and shook her head. "As long as I have you by my side, I will never be scared." she told him. 

"There's something I want to give you." Wes told her. Sylvia looked at him, and waited for what he was about to give him. Then, he pulled out the second button from his uniform. He took Sylvia's hand, and put it on her palm. Sylvia was surprised at what he did. "If a guy gives you his second button on graduation day, it means that he loves me, and I'm precious to him..." she thought. She smiled at that realization. She couldn't help but smile as she stared at the button on her hand. 

"This will be my most precious treasure..." she said as she held it up high. Wes smiled at her. "And you are my most precious treasure." Wes told her. Sylvia looked at him, and saw him gazing at her. Then, he leaned down to her. As the breeze blew away the petals from the cherry blossom tree at the garden, Wes kissed her lips.

Diana walked inside their classroom. She looked at her desk and friends' desks. She let out a sad smile as she remembers the happy times she had with her friends, especially Wayne.

Wayne became her friend when he started hanging out with Wes. Eventually, they became classmates. Since then, the four of them were inseparable. She couldn't imagine her life without her three childhood friends. And now that they all graduated from high school, she's starting to get scared. She doesn't know if she'll be able to get it through college without her friends beside her, or if she will be able to find friends like them. 

She ran her hand through her desk. She let out a smile as she remembers her happy times with Sylvia. Ever since they became classmates, she had been her perennial seatmate.  She loved sitting right next to her. She liked sharing stories with her, sharing different stories and gossips, and share secrets that not even Wes and Wayne ever known, (except her feelings for Wayne, because she thought Sylvia would find it weird that she fell in love with a friend). 

She also love the feeling secured knowing Wes and Wayne is just behind them. She could bug Wayne to teach her in Math, or even ask Wes about the guy who is asking her out for a date.  She love having lunch with them, doing her cleaning duties with them, and going home together with them. 

As she felt a little nostalgic, a tear fell  from her eyes. "I'm going to miss this..." she said to herself. "Diana?" she heard someone call. She looked back, and by the door, she saw Wayne standing. She immediately turned around, and wiped her tear. "I'll be out in a while." she said. 

Wayne could feel her sadness. And even if she hides it, she knows she's crying. "Why are you crying?" he asked as he approached her. "Nothing..." Diana lied. He turned her to face him, and this time, she could no longer hide her tears. "I know something's wrong with you..." he told her. Diana let out a sigh, and decided to tell her what she feels. 

"It's just that, I'm going to miss the things we used to do. I'm going to miss school days seeing you and Fei Fei and Zheng, and being together. And I'm scared... I'm scared of what will happen after this day. What if we don't get in the same university? What if we did, but because of our different majors, we have to go on separate ways? What if you guys find another group of friends, and I don't... What if..." 

She lowered her head, and let a tear fell from her eyes. "What if one day, you find another girl and you realize you don't love me anymore?" she said as she cried. Wayne looked at her. He could understand all her fears and sadness, because he also feels the same way. He lifted her chin, and smiled at her. Then, he hugged her tight. 

"Changes are scary at first, right? For the past ten years, the four of us had always been together. But Wes is right, no matter what happens in the future, the four of us will always be friends. And I... I will always love you and support you no matter what." he told her. 

Wayne held her cheeks, and gazed at her. "And I don't think I could find another girl as cute as you. And it's not like we're going to study at both ends of the world, right? We can go out on a date every weekend. I'll come and visit you at your house, and at your school. I'll do everything to make this relationship last, I promise." he assured her. "But... but what if there's a cute girl that would flirt with you?" Diana asked. Wayne let out a laugh as he shook his head. "Then, I'll act as if I don't see her! But you have to promise me too, if there are guys in your new school that would ask you out,  you'll turn them down." he said. 

Diana nodded her head. "I promise." she said. Wayne let out a smile. Then, he wiped the tears from her cheeks. "Don't cry now, all right?" he said. Diana let out a smile as she nodded her head. Wayne leaned down to her, and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

A week after the national exams. 

Melody sorted through the letters that came into the mailbox that day, when an envelope caught her attention. "Red Sun Scholarship?" she read. Then, she remembered it as the one Chun was talking to her about before she sent to him Wes' school documents. "Did Zheng got in?" she thought. 

"Zheng, you have a letter!" she shouted as she got in. Wes went down from the stairs, and Melody handed her the letter. Wes could feel his heart beating fast upon seeing the letter. He immediately opened it, and there were two letters. The first one is the acceptance letter from the university in Australia, and the other one is the confirmation of his scholarship. 

"Then... I should make my decision now..." he thought. "So how was it? Did you pass?" Melody asked. He looked at the letters he was holding, and she smiled seeing he got the scholarship, and he passed the university. "Oh my God, Zheng! You passed! I'm so happy!" Wes could hear her aunt say. 

As Melody looked at him, he saw that he didn't look happy at all. "Zheng? What's wrong?" she asked. "I... I don't know what to do..." he said as he sat on the couch. Melody sat beside him to talk to him. "What do you mean? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, Zheng! You should take this. Not everyone is given the chance to study abroad on a scholarship." Melody convinced her. 

"But, dad... he came home. I know he's been wanting to settle here for a while.  And Allie, what about her? Who will help take care of her? And..."

"And Fei Fei, right?"

Melody looked at Wes as he lowered his head. "You don't want to leave Fei Fei?" she asked. Wes nodded her head. "Think of it this way, Zheng. This opportunity is for your future. Yours and Fei Fei's future. I'm pretty sure you're going to be a good doctor when you study in Australia. And don't worry about Allie, I know your dad would be able to take care of her. And your dad, well he should get used to this." Melody said. 

Wes let out another sigh. "I don't know..." he said. "Hong Zheng, this is your future we're talking about. We don't know if this will come your way again." Melody said firmly. Wes looked at his aunt, and let out a smile. "Tomorrow, I will also receive the letter of acceptance in my choice of school here in Taipei. Whatever the result is, I'll make my decision tomorrow." he told her. Melody simply smiled at him. "And I hope that you will consider this chance, all right?" she said. Wes nodded his head.

"Here's Zheng's letters!"

Qin Yang said as he got inside the house. "Taipei Medical University, Bai He University and National Taiwan University." Qin Yang said as he read the enveloped. 

As he handed the letters to his son, Wes's hand was shaking. "Then, let's see the result?" Melody said. Wes nodded his head. They opened the letters, and he read it. Based on the letters, he passed Taipei Medical University and Bai He University, but he didn't make the cut for NTU. "It's all right, son. Bai He and Taipei Medical University is a good school too." Qin Yang told him. 

"But there's one more school that he passed. Right, Zheng?" Melody said. Qin Yang gave them a confused look. "Which school?" Qin Yang asked. "University of Sydney!" Melody said. Qin Yang sweat dropped at his sister. "But that school is in Australia, not in Taipei... unless..."

Qin Yang looked at his son, who looked sadly at him. "Son?" he asked. "I... I passed the test for University of Sydney... and... and I also got a scholarship through Chun ge..." Wes said. With that, Qin Yang broke into a smile. "Then, go for it! I can't believe I have a really smart son. Eh, Zheng, you don't have to worry about a thing, all right? You should go for that school!" Qin Yang said. 

Wes looked at his aunt, and he saw her smiling. "I told you, your father will agree to this." Melody said. "This chance is rare. Zheng, you are a smart boy, and you deserve this." Qin Yang said. "But... Allie? What will happen to her if I'm gone?" he asked. "Allie and I can visit you from time to time. Or, if Allie wants, she can study there too. Specially now, since I'm considering going back to London as my ex-boss wants me." Qin Yang explained. 

"See, you have one problem solved. You and Allie can go to  Australia to study. Me and your dad will support the two  of you." Melody told him. Wes nodded his head. "Then... I'll pick Austalia then." Wes said. Melody clapped excitedly. "Finally! I'm so happy for you, my dear nephew!" Melody said as he hugged him tight.

That afternoon, the four of them agreed to meet at the park to announce where they passed and which school they would go. "I got my letter!" Wayne said happily the moment he saw Diana. "Me too!" Diana said excitedly. "By the way, have you seen Sunnee and Dylan's IG post? Makes me want to go to Kinmen island too..." Diana said dreamily. Wayne smiled at her. "One day, we'll visit that place, all right?" Wayne told her. Diana nodded her head. 

Then, Sylvia came, and tailing behind her is Wes. "Oh, there they are!" Diana said as she pointed at the two. "I got my letter! Are we ready for the announcement?" Sylvia asked excitedly. Diana nodded her head. "I'll go first." Wayne said. He lifted his envelope, and smiled triumphantly. "I'm going to Bai He University!" Wayne said. The two girls shrieked in happiness at his announcement, while Wes just smiled. 

"See, I told you. You'll get in Bai He." Wes. "As for me, I'm going to St. Cecilia's College." Diana said. Wayne's eyes widened in surprise at what she said. "No way! That school is just near Bai He! Then, we can get to see each other more!" Wayne said. Diana nodded her head. "I'm going to St. Cecilia's too!" Sylvia announce. Diana was surprised and happy at what she said, so happy that she hugged her. "Oh my God, and I thought the two of us will be separated!" Diana told her. "I'm so happy we'll be at the same school!" Sylvia said. 

Wayne looked at Wes, and saw him looking sadly at Sylvia. "Wes, how about you? Which school accepted you, and which school will you go? I'm pretty sure you had a lot of options." Wayne said. "Ah, I know, he got in to Taipei Medical University, am I right?" Diana asked. "Or NTU?" Sylvia asked. "Maybe he'll go to the same school as me!" Wayne guessed too.

Wes took a deep breath. He still doesn't know how he will announce the news to his friends, especially to Sylvia. "Well, I got in Taipei Medical University and Bai He..." Wes said. "And... you're going to TMU, right?" Sylvia asked. 

Wes looked at her for a long time, then, he shook his head. "I knew it! Bai He!" Wayne said. Wes stared at them for a long time before speaking again. "I... I'm going to University of Sydney." Wes announced. The three fell silent upon hearing that. "I... I'm going to Australia to study..."
