The little girl cried as she looked back at the taller boy standing by the gate. Behind him was the nun, who was trying to console him. "Xiao Xiong..." she called. She let go the hand of the man holding her, and ran back to him. 

"Xing Xing..." the boy called. Soon, his eyes were flooded with his own tears. "Xiao Xiong I don't want to leave..." she said. "But you have to go. You have a new family..." he said. Then, the little girl cried harder. He put his hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. 

"I won't forget you..." he said. "Promise?" she asked as she held out her pinky finger. He looped his finger with hers and nodded his head. "I promised. I promise, once someone adopts me, I will do my best to find you and visit you. So, you also have to promise not to forget me, OK?" he said. The little girl nodded her head. 

"Little girl, let's go..." the man said in a soft voice as he held her hand. Then, the man smiled at her. "Don't worry, we'll come back here soon, OK?" he said. She just nodded her head. He waved goodbye to her friend before being led to the car. As she got in the backseat, she looked outside the window, and waved again. 

"I will never forget you, Xing Xing! I promise! So you should not forget about me too OK!" the little boy said as he ran towards the car. "I will always, always remember you, Xiao Xiong!"
