Goodbye, Hello

Me And The Girl Next Door

"Thank you for letting me stay here. I will never forget your kindness."

Ella told Pauline and Sylvia. It was the day of their departure going back to Australia. Pauline smiled at the younger lady, and gave her a hug. "Thank you for taking care of our Yu Fei. If in the future, you and your family decides to come back here in Taiwan, and you need a place to stay, you are always welcome here in our home." Pauline told her. Sylvia walked up to Ella and hugged her tight. "Ella jie, I will miss you!" she cried.

Ella smiled and patted her head. "Hey, we can always chat. And if you have love problems, you know I can always help you, all right?" she said. Sylvia smiled and nodded her head. "And I will also miss Stephy!" Syvia said as she leaned down to pinch Stephy's cheek. "Be a good girl always, OK?" she told her. Stephy smiled and nodded her head.

Meanwhile, Chun was also getting ready to leave. "Are you sure you're going to be fine being alone here?" Chun asked Wes worriedly. The younger man smiled at him and nodded his head. "Don't worry, I'm used to it. Besides, Auntie Pauline is back. I have adult supervision around." Wes told him. Chun smiled at him. "Then, don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything, all right? Thank you for letting me stay here, and helping me with Ella, I'm going to miss you." Chun told him.

Wes sure know he's going to miss Chun as well. After all, he had seen him as his big brother. "I'll miss you too, Chun ge. Thank you for staying with me." he said. The two hugged for a while until Chun let him go. "Give me a chat from time to time. I want to be sure you're all right on your own, OK?" he said. Wes nodded his head. "Let me know once you, Ella jie and Stephy lands in Australia, OK?" Wes said. "I sure will." Chun told him.

Chun took his luggage, and went out of the house. At the same time, Ella and Stephy got out of the other house. He smiled at his wife and his daughter. "Are you guys ready?" he asked. Ella smiled, and nodded her head. "I can't wait to go home..." she said. "But I'm scared..." Stephy told them. Chun and Ella looked at each other. He let out a sigh, and then knelt before his daughter. "What are you scared of, baby?" he asked. "Everything seems new to me. What if nobody from your family accepts me? What if I won't fit in?" Stephy said worriedly.

Ella played Stephy's hair, and knelt to her as well. "Stephy, I know this change will be scary for you. But we want you to know that mommy and daddy will always be with you to face your fears." she said. Chun nodded his head. "And think of this change  as a big adventure for you, all right? If you feel scared, just hold on to our hands, and we'll face it with you." Chun said. Stephy looked at her parents, and she finally smiled. "Then, will you hold my hand?" she asked. The two of them let out a laugh. "Of course we will! Let's go?" Chun said. Stephy nodded her head.

As the leave their old home, the held on to Stephy's hand. Chun and Ella looked at each other, and smiled. Going back to Australia is anew start for them, and they look forward to spending each day together as one big happy family.

Pei Ci went back to the classroom after buying her lunch. As she opened the door, she was startled by the confetti poppers that was set off the moment she got inside the room. "Surprise!" all of her classmates shouted. Her jaw dropped upon seeing the banner on the wall which says 'Bon Voyage and Thank You!', and the cake on the table. "Guys...." she managed to say. She was speechless. She never expected to get a surprise party from her classmates.

Wes walked towards her. "We can't let you go without sending you off." he told her. He stared at Wes for a long time, and then she let out a loud cry. "Zheng ge!" she cried as he hugged the taller guy. Everyone laughed at her. Wes ruffled her hair. "Crybaby." he . She stopped crying, and pouted at him. "I'm no crybaby. Hey, what's the flavor of that cake?" she asked as she let him go, and walked towards the table. "Of course, it's our favorite. Chocolate!" Sylvia told her.

"Hey, Sam isn't back?" she heard Evan said. Pei Ci looked back at him, and gave him a confused look. "Aiyo, haven't you heard what he said a while a go? He have nothing to do with Pei Ci. Besides, they might fight again." Win told him. "It's all right, I don't want him to spoil the mood anyway." she told them. As she was about to slice the cake, there was a knock on the door.

"Pei Ci?"

She looked at the door, and saw Ya Lun by the door. "Ya Lun! Hey, why don't you come in?" Wes told him. Ya Lun smiled at him, and shook his head. "It's all right, Wes. Is it OK if I borrow Pei Ci for a few minutes?" Ya Lun asked him. Wes looked at Pei Ci, and gave her a goofy smile. He noticed the two had became closer since the wedding. "Of course, you can!" Wayne said as he pushed Pei Ci towards Ya Lun. Then, Wayne leaned to Ya Lun. "Don't come back till you made her a girl." Wayne said with a wink.

"Hey!" Pei Ci protested, but before she knew it, Wayne closed the door in her face. "You're going to be dead, nerdy boy!" she shouted at him. She took a deep breath, and faced Ya Lun. "What do you want?" she asked in an annoyed tone. Ya Lun smiled at her. "I know you're leaving tomorrow, so I want to say goodbye. Also, I want to give you something." Ya Lun told her. He took a small box from his pocket, and handed it to her. She took the gift, and stared at it. "You don't have to give me something, Ya Lun..."

"But I want to. I want to give you something that will remind you of me."

"You're a weird guy, you know..."

Pei Ci opened the box, and saw a key chain with a musical note as a design.  "Whoa, this is so cute!" Pei Ci said as she lifted her up. Then, he noticed Ya Lun is staring at her while smiling. "Ya Lun... you're not in love with me, are you?" she asked. Ya Lun just smiled at her. "Hey, I hope one day we'll see each other again." he told her. "Well, if there's a chance I can go back here in Taipei, we'll definitely see each other." she said as she put the key chain. "And when we meet again, I'll court you." he told her. He winked at her, before running from her.

Pei Ci was surprised at what he said. "Hey, you..." she shouted at him. She could only see him wave back at her. She took the key chain, and stared at it. "You're one weird guy, Yan Ya Lun..." she said as she smiled to herself.

Sam rushed to the music room after classes, hoping to hear his favorite voice. He stayed there for a while, only to realize that it has become silent. "Is Angel here? Why am I not hearing her sing?"  he thought. He tried to peek from the window, but he can't see anything.

Just then, he heard the door slowly open. "Angel... am I going to see her?" he thought. He felt his heart began to beat fast. He slowly turned his head to see a short haired girl entering the room. "Angel..." he called faintly. The short haired girl looked at him.

"P'Sam?" Sunnee called. "Sunnee?" Sam called as he approached her. "What are you doing here?" he asked. "I usually come here after class to sing. Why?" she asked. Sam just stared at her. "Then, the voice I love... my angel, is Sunnee?" he thought sadly. "Oh..." he managed to say. "What's wrong, P'Sam?" she asked. Sam managed to smile. "N-nothing. So, you mean to say, last week at this time, you're the one who sings inside the music room?" Sam asked. Sunnee nodded her head.

Sam was disappointed, not because he wasn't expecting it was Sunnee, but because the girl he fell in love already has a boyfriend. "Oh... OK. Thanks, Sunnee..." he told her. He left, feeling dejected with what he found out. "Why did I fell in love with the wrong person?" he thought as he walked away.

Wes rushed to the door as soon as he heard the knock. "Coming!" he shouted. As he opened the door, he was surprised to see his father before him. "Dad?" he said in a surprised tone. "Surprise!" Qin Yang said. Wes was so excited to see his father. After all, it has been years since he last saw him. "Dad! You're home!" he said as he hugged his father. "Aiyo, seems like you did miss me." Qin Yang told his son. "I'm just so happy you're home." Wes told him.

He helped his father with the luggage, and both of them went inside the house. "So, dad, are you here for a quick vacation?" he asked as they both sat on the couch. "I might be staying here for good." Qin Yang told his son. Wes gave him a confused look. "Really? But I thought you love your job in London?" Wes asked. Qin Yang let out a sigh. "I do, but I realized that you're growing up without me beside you. I'm you're only family, and I should be there for you. Besides, I can't let you be alone here, right?" Qin Yang told him.

Wes let out a smile. "Dad, I'm fine being alone. Have you heard of me making trouble since Aunt Melody left me?" he asked. "I heard about what happened between you and that Tia girl." Qin Yang said. Wes let out a laugh. "And besides, I accepted a job in a hospital here in Taipei. It's better that way, since I can work here and look after you. I know, son, I've been neglecting you for the past years, so let me make it up for you, all right?" Qin Yang told him.

"Dad, don't be too dramatic... hey, I think you're tired from your flight. Why don't you go upstairs for to rest. I'll prepare our dinner, all right? Your room is the one on the right." Wes told him. Qin Yang nodded his head, and the went up to his room. As soon as he is alone in his room, he took out his phone, and made an important call.

"'Dr. Guo..." he said as soon as the person on the other line picked up his call. "Yes, I'm already here in Taipei. I will be going there at the hospital. I want to know Mrs. Wang's condition." he said. He listened closely to what Dr. Guo is saying. He nodded his head as he listened closely. "Well, for now, make sure that she takes her medicine. I can't say we need to up her dosage until I see her myself." he told the doctor. After that, he ended the call. He went out of his room, and down to the kitchen, where he watched his son preparing their dinner.

All he could think of as he looked at Wes, is how he took after his mother. That was the reason why he left him before - he can't bear to see his son because he resembles Jane so much. And he regrets making that decision, leaving his son all alone. But despite the fact that he gre up without him or his mother, his sister had raised him well. He grew up to be a smart, independent and kindhearted man he had always hoped him to be.

"Jane, you need to be well..." he thought as he stared at Wes. "You have to see how wonderful Zheng had grown in to.And I know... I know our son needs to see you too..." He said as he sighed sadly.
