“I came cause something’s bothering me” he said

Instantly worry took over Somin’s expression “Bothering you? What?”

“The fact that now I need to have a reason to come and see you.”

Somin stilled. “Wha-what?”

Hyunjoong could sense her nervousness. No he doesn’t want the tension! He wants the old carefreeness of their relationship!

“Yeah.” Hyunjoong shrugged and suddenly jumped into her bed which took Somin totally by surprise—she stared at him her lips formed an ‘O’ in astonishment. “I mean why do I have to come here FOR something? Can’t I just come by my bestfriend’s house?” Hyunjoong pouted

“I dunno what kinda tricky game is playing on your mind—“

Somin tried to push him out of her bed but Hyunjoong grabbed her wrist—Somin froze. Hyunjoong held her hand and sat up.

“Somin I know things are really complicated right now. I did some stupid things you did some stupid things. But let’s just forget whatever happened”

“Forget?” Somin managed to say but she still couldn’t look into his eyes,her eyes were glued to the floor. “I am sorry but I cannot forget my feelings towards you. I can’t—”

“I am glad to hear that”

Somin turned to face Hyunjoong and found a serene smile on his face

“You-you are glad..?” Emotions choked her

“Yeah. Cause I cant forget my feelings towards you as well.Honestly…I was actually scared you’ll say yes to my ‘forget everything’ plan cause if you did I had to pretend that everything was same….when truly it is not”

Somin simply stared at him in bewilderment

“Somin..” Hyunjoong pursed her hand in between his. “Our feelings are part of who we are. I am not telling you to ignore them. But you have to accept they are the reason why we are in this messy situation. I regret many things in our past but what I regret the most is losing our friendship. I miss ‘us’!” Hyunjoongjoong looked at Somin intently as tears pooled in her eyes. “I know you like me and you know I like you too. All I’m asking is,let’s just keep it that way until we figure things out properly.  What say cute AD?” Hyunjoong looked at her in anticipation as Somin hung her head, hiding her tears

“Mmm?” Hyunjoong pouted and raised her chin to make her look at him

“Pouting doesn’t suit you” Somin sniffed

“Really?” Hyunjoong narrowed his eyes playfully “I thought I look cuter when I pout”

“Nah…you look like a baboon” and the two burst out in laughter
