They were sitting on swings in a park near Somin’s house. It was night so the park was empty—just the two of them.

They were both silent—for few minutes the only sound was the cranking of the swing as Somin swung lightly to relieve her anxiety . Finally Hyunjoong let out a sigh and began

“When we started out as a group, we signed a 5 year contract with DSP. Initially things were great—the response we got was surreal,we couldn’t believe it ourselves! Everything was great—we were all really…really happy. We also started getting offers of various dramas.When I did Boys before Flowers I never expected it this to be such a phenomenal success specially didn’t think I’ll get praised so much. I mean I was just a supporting actor there! I didn’t even get the girl!”Hyunjoong chuckled sadly “But I was thankful nevertheless. Jungmin also got popular through his gig.While me and Jungmin were busy Hyungjun Youngsaeng and Kyu brought out a new album as SS501’s sub unit. They were so nervous. I still remember the day before the album released I came back from shoot and found the trio standing at the door. As soon as they saw me they just poured out their hearts. The album was a big hit infact it sold more copies than any other album of ours. Youngsaeng emerged as the lead vocalist and he truly deserved the title. Finally when we came back with ‘Love Like This’the fandom spread further. We were all really happy.” Hyunjoong sniffed

Somin couldn’t see his face but she understood he was getting teary. She took out a tissue and passed it to him.Hyunjoong took it and swiftly ran it over his eyes.

“The five years passed by in a flash! Then one day the DSP CEO called us all for a meeting. We all thought it’d be regarding the renewal of our contract instead they proposed the concept of ‘SS501 Solo Collection’. We all thought it was a great idea and readily agreed. The album did good business again. Tours were conducted across various cities. After we wrapped up the tour we got a month holiday. But when we came back I was called in by the CEO again. When I went, he handed me the renewed contract. I was about to sign it but then something caught my eye. The place where the names of the members of SS501 were mentioned Kyujong’s name was missing”

Somin’s eyes grew big and her jaw dropped involuntarily “What? It was a mistake right?” she cried

“I thought the same atfirst! So I asked them but I was dumbstruck when they told me they didn’t want Kyujong to be part of SS501 anymore! I immediately refused and left. SS501 is complete with all of us!You cant just leave out a member!” Hyunjoong voice grew louder as he grew more angry at the memory

“The next day I asked them the reason why they want Kyujong out. They said it was because he was passive…..they said each one of us has made a mark of their own except Kyujong! I just snapped. I told them I’d leave if they excluded Kyujong.They became afraid as I had a huge fan following and said they’ll reconsider. By this time we started preparing for ‘Destination’…little did we know then that we were actually nearing our final destination” Hyunjoong sniffed. Somin noticed a teardrop escape his eyes. She held his shoulders.

“After the album released we appeared on various countdowns and received many awards.Then again one day I was called in and they told me there wont be any change in the contract and that if SS501 has to continue it’d have to be without Kyujong.”

“That’s so wrong!!! He’s the caring centre!”Somin cried in disbelief

“I gave him that name”Hyunjoong chuckled “You know why?”

Somin shook her head

“Cause he was like the centrifugal force. He held us all together.”

“What about the others?the other members? Did they know about it? Their opinions also matter doesn’t it?” Somin asked

“There lies the final twist! When I refused the CEO showed me Jung Min and Hyungjun’s signatures already on the contract”

“WHAT?! They agreed to the new contract????” Somin was shocked to the core

“I was shocked too. So I rushed to my members and informed them about the situation. I charged Jung Min and Hyungjun but they had no clue—they didn’t read the contract carefully.”

Somin was out of words as Hyunjoong narrated the controversy

“The five of us marched into the CEO’s office and charged at him. But he stuck to his decision. So I decided to leave. That night we had a concert which became our last appearance as SS501 but I didn’t want it to be that way. I thought when I moved into KeyEast, DSP will finally realize their mistake and bring us back but they didn’t. The rest four obviously didn’t want to continue work as SS501 without me so slowly they all branched out as well”

Somin kept on looking at Hyunjoong. He was truly a leader—he sacrificed himself to protect s.She couldn’t help but adore him more!

“DSP didn’t want their own reputation to get harmed so they spread various rumours. Everyday I hear new rumours, in most of them I am the culprit as I moved out first but the five of us know the truth and who the real culprit is and that’s what matters for me.I cant go about telling people and convincing them!"

"But I don’t want people who are precious to me, to get me wrong.That’s why I told you this somin cause I truly value your friendship. I don’t want you to get me wrong”  Hyunjoong looked up at Somin,sincerity evident in his teary eyes.

Okay guys i dunno whether the reason is true or not....i just read this article once and so built it up accordingly. So dont rely on it 100% after all its 'fanfiction'
