"Really you're so thick headed" Kyu said looking intensely into SeJung's eyes "Why would you think I hate you?" he shook his head in disbelief "infact I have so many questions." he creased his eyebrows. It messed up his  head trying to understand this girl before him. "why would you hide from me?" he got up in angst "why would you wear a mask? Girls do that when they are bunking classes to go for our concerts but you don't do that sort of things...you'd never miss your duty...then why? Why did you pretend not to know us? not to know ME?" Kyu sighed as he ran his hand through his hair in frustration

Sejung pursed her lips as she studied Kyu's expression.

"Because I understood it's a waste to think rather to even dream of a future together with you" she finally said

Kyu's eyes flew open

"I am doctor and you are a popstar...I never thought our paths would cross and even if they did you would ever notice me....and why would you? You have so many beautiful hot females around you what is their in me that would catch your eyes even for a second" Sejung said as she spoke of her insecurities "That day when I saw all of you...saw you... you have no idea how much I wanted to scream and hug you...tell you who I was...but I knew it wouldnt matter...I would just be another doctor treating your friend...at max you'd be grateful to me for saving Somin but nothing beyond that...all this..." she touched her lips which Kyu had kissed a few moments ago "seems like a dream"

Kyu rushed to her side and kissed her again quickly. "This isnt a dream,stupid" he said leaning back asSeJung looked at in surprise "You dont see yourself clearly...you're amazing and I'd be honoured to have you!" he said truthfully. " 'My girl saves lives' how cool that sounds! How many guys get to say that?" he said smiling brilliantly

"But can she really be your girlfriend when she cant even have time for you?" Sejung said, still uncertain and Kyu's face became grim as well

"I know it's gonna be tricky with both our busy schedules...but I know we can make it" Kyu said after a pause

"You dont know..You dont know me, my life,my work--" Sejung shook her head but Kyu pressed his hand over before she can speak further

"I may not know much about you and that is all thanks to you" he said sarcastically "But I identify your passion for your work cause I have that too. I know we wouldnt neglect that...ever. And I also know our love is true and we would never let anything take it away from us"

SeJung searched his eyes for any hesitation but their was only confidence shinning through them. She removed his hand from only to hold it in hers and smile

"So do you wanna officially meet all SS501 members?" Kyujong smiled "We planned to meet at Hyunjoong hyung's apartment"

"I have an appendectomy scheduled in 15 minutes" Sejung said with remorse.

"How long will it take?" Kyujong asked

"one hour minimum" Sejung looked at Kyujong waiting for the disappointment to descend

"Cool. I will be waiting downstairs. Text me when you're done" Kyujong smiled, quite contrary to what SeJung expected

"What? You'll wait the whole time? No!" she shrieked in disbelief

"Not the whole time...I need a change of clothes so i'll go home, freshen up and then come and get you"

"It may take longer than an hour...sometimes there are complications--"

Kyujong held her hands firmly. "You cant push me away." he said "I'll hang onto you with everything I have got. You may not believe we can work but I do and oneday I promise I will make you believe too. So hurry up and get that appendix out of that patient and join me" he smiled

"You know what an appendectomy is?" Sejung said in surprise

"I just dont sing well. I know stuff too" Kyu tried looking like suave player. Sejung saw through that easily as she waited  for the truth with one brow raised. "Fine.."he sighed giving up. "I know cause I had one a year ago. Now hurry up and ease that patient of his pain"He said raising Sejung along with himself. He kissed her on the cheek and left

Hyungjun picked up the remote and muted the TV. But it seemed he had muted the room along with the television set as everyone sat in silence. Relief didnt have anytime to descend as concern flooded through them with the last lines of the reporter and their eyes focused on Jungmin

"Minnie, I dont think Seungyeon was involved." Hwangbo finally broke the silence "I am sorry to have accused her"

Jungmin sighed "It's not your fault unnie...I thought so too"

"Minnie" Hwangbo went across and sat infront of him "She loves you truly..even when I was suspecting her I could see her love for you in her eyes"

"Yes Jungmin...she loves you truly" Somin pressed Jungmin's hand.

"I dunno...I dunno how...I dunno how to approach her" Jungmin said, breathing ruggedly. "I am sorry I can't do this" he got up suddenly and walked out of the door.

Hwangbo buried her face in her hands. "This is all because of me" she said

"Unnie no" Somin rushed to her side to console her and everyone followed...everyone except Youngsaeng. Hwangbo peeked to find him standing at a distance looking fixedly at her. When their eyes met he sighed and peeked out of the window. Youngsaeng saw Jungmin get into his car and leave and turned to look back at Hwangbo. He could understand she wanted some kind of assurance--assurance that everything is going to be fine--but at this point he couldnt give her any. Hwangbo understood and felt miserable

Jungmin didnt know how but somehow he found himself parked outside Seungyeon's apartment. 'Will she be willing to see me?' 'What will I say?''What will she say?' 'Have we reached the end?' 'Is there any chance for recovery for us?' Jungmin thought as he looked at the window on the tenth floor--the apartment in which Seungyeon stayed.

He finally gathered the courage and decided to proceed. He knew there was high chance Seungyeon wouldnt let him in so he took his spare key to her  apartment. Standing infront of her apartment, he took a deep breath and inserted the key into the lock to let himself in. As he walked in, he expected Seungyeon to come rushing out wearing an extra long Tee that came to her knees,her hair tied up in a messy bun--her attire whenever she was at home away from the media's radar; an attire which Jungmin found more attractive than all of her performance costumes and party gowns. But nothing like that happened,only silence welcomed him as he entered her aprtment.

"Where was she?" Jungmin thought "Is she in the bathroom?" he crossed the living area  and entered her room to check the bathroom. She wasnt there. Her scent had hit him from the time he stepped into the  apartment but in this room her scent was the strongest--it overwhelmed him. Jungmin sat on her bed and inhaled. He closed his eyes and ran his hands over the bed to feel her prescence,her warmth. When he opened his eyes they were filled with tears; the answer was clear to him finally--he couldnt be without her. He needs her. He got up and frantically took out his phone to call her manager when a yellow note on her fridge grabbed his attention. He got closer and read

'Dance Rehersal at 6-K1studios'

"Dance rehersal?' Jungmin creased his eyebrows. He knew Seungyeon was planning to go solo for a while but she hasnt finalized any productions or composed any song and with DSP crumbling to ashes there would be no KARA activity for a while so what dance rehersal? Jungmin decided he need to find out, rather more importantly he needed to find her. He ran and got into his car as fast as he could. His car engines roared as he drove to K1studio

"Hey guys" Youngsaeng cleared his throat. Everyone turned to face him. "This came in the mail today" he took out an envelope and waved it in the air. He looked sneakily at Hyunjoong briefly

"Oh what is it" Hyunjoong quickly got up and snatched the envelope before anyone could.

"What is it?" Somin said as Hyunjoong simply stared at the letter in the envelope

After a considerable pause, Hyunjoong looked up "It's his army enlistment letter."

The room fell silent

"But it's not just that. " Hyunjoong continued. "He has been asked to enroll in a special army officer program who'll be trained for a month and then sent to Afghanistan for.....war" he finished

"WHAT?!" everyone cried

"They cant do that!" Hwangbo shrieked

"They can. Army enlistment is mandatory and once we do, our assignments are decided not by us but by the armed forces" Youngsaeng explained

"And they choose to send him to the Afghanistan war" Hyunjoong added with a sigh

"But hyung that's dangerous!" the maknae got up "I hear that the ongoing war in Afghanistan is inhuman and brutal. It's unbearable even for experienced soldiers! Hyung! You have to say no" Hyungjun was horrified

"I can't"

"But you can delay the assignment right?" Hyunjoong said "I have postponed mine for a year. Postpone it. I have friends in the army they'll let me know when recruitment for this assignment is done and then you can take up the enlistment"

"My agency wanted me to join early so that when I came out I'll still have some of my baby face that I can cash. That's why they declared me eligible. If I refuse now they can sue me and my agency. I have to take this up" Youngsaeng said helplessly

"Ottoke oppa!" Somin cried

Hwangbo had gone totally silent. Youngsaeng going to Afghanistan, her Youngsaeng....she knew what happens in Afghanistan, how they torture the captured soldiers, behead innocent people---it was brutal, unbearable. "Isnt there any way out?" she finally asked in hushed voice

"Unless I have a strong reason to stay...I have to go" Youngsaeng said locking her eyes in his as he said each word. "Don't worry guys..." he said looking away to others "I have wrapped up all my activities. The only thing left is the SS501 comeback album. I'll be there till the launch I think. After that you all have to do things without me and I'm sure you can."

The room was struck with grief. Hyung jun hugged Youngsaeng while Hyunjoong patted Youngsaeng

"Oh why won't our problems just end!" Somin held Youngsaeng's hand

"c'mon Hyeongsu why are you thinking the worst? and even if I die...you'll miss me for a month or so then you'll forget...I am not that significant" Youngsaeng mocked. Hyung Jun started crying burying his face in his shoulder.

"Oppa dont say that!" Somin cried, she too on the brim of tears

Youngsaeng watched Hwangbo standing a bit away. She hadnt moved much since he broke the news of his enlistment. She seemed to be rooted to the spot and tears pooled in her eyes sparkled before they dropped to her cheeks to slide down further

"So she cares" Youngsaeng said in relief to himself

"Its late. I need to go home. Jins... is probably..probably...starving..." Hwangbo quickly wiped the tears from her cheeks and eyes. She got up and started to gather her things but just then the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it" Hwangbo said and walked to the door

She opened the door to find Kyu and Sejung standing outside

"HELLO! We're here!" Kyu declared cheerfully not detecting the mood of the room. He soon noticed Hwangbo's teary eyes

"Unnie what's wrong?" Kyu asked worried, he looked around to find Maknae and Somin crying too.

"I am sorry Kyu..." Hwangbo said hiding her tears "I have to leave now."

Kyu!" Somin sniffed "Youngsaeng is getting enlisted in army and posted to Afghanistan" she said crying 

Hyunjoong and Youngsaeng quickly looked at each other and Hyunjoong hurriedly said "Wait Hwangbo! Youngsaeng will drop you" he hit Youngsaeng who rushed to Hwangbo's side and walked out with her.

"What's going on?" Kyu hurriedly entered the room to inquire the others "What's all this about Youngsaeng getting posted to Afghanistan?"

"Hyung got his enlistment letter today and he has been assigned to be in this special army officer program which will fight war in Afghanistan" Hyung jun narrated wiping his tears

"What? That's rubbish! They cant do that!" Kyu shrieked in disbelief "An offficer can only get assigned after he completes his 6 months of training. They assess you and according to that assign you. There are chances you might as well get kicked out from the regime if your assessment comes out bad. But nothing before that let alone Afghanistan!"

"But-but it's states clearly in his enlistment letter that he'll go on war in Afghanistan!" Hyungjun grabbed the letter from Hyunjoong's hand and gave it to Kyu

Kyu read the letter and looked at it suspiciously. He turned it around twice and then looked up saying "This is a very bad fake enlistment letter"

"Fake?!" Somin looked at Kyu in disbelief "How so?"

"All official army letter have the army symbol printed on the paper and a hologram" Kyu explained "this has none of that" he pointed out

"It's a joke! It's a joke!" Hyungjun said laughing in relief "I have to tell Hyung...maybe they havent left"

Hyung jun started to walk toward the door when Hyunjoong pulled him back by his collar

"Wait" Hyunjoong said closing his eyes

"B-But-but hyung he needs to know there--"

"He knows" Hyunjoong sighed

"He knows?" Somin looked at him in confusion

"He knows that it's fake cause we are the ones who came up with this whole idea of faking his enlistment and posting to Afghanistan" Hyunjoong explained

"But why would you---"Somin realized midway through her question what the whole plot was and so did the rest of them

"So are you really gonna go?" Hwangbo asked, not making eye conact

"Hmm...I dont really have any strong reason to deny" Youngsaeng replied as he took a sharp right turn

"What counts as a strong reason to deny?" Hwangbo asked

"You are exceptionally curios today..why?" Youngsaeng said "Why do you wanna know?"

"Can you just answer my question!" Hwangbo yelled

They both exchanged angry glares

"Well..." Youngsaeng sighed "Crucial life incidents count"

"Like?"

"Like...death in the family, baby marriage" Youngsaeng emphasized on the last one "My parents are pretty healthy and since I had been and still am hopelessly in love with someone who doesnt love me back, babies and marriage automatically gets cancelled from the list"

Hwangbo looked away from him

"Well if you're worrying, don't" Youngsaeng said finally "You've made me quite strong...the pain of your rejection has made me alot stronger, getting beheaded I dont think would even come close"

Jungmin entered the studio and followed the sound of music to one of the rehersal halls. He stood outside the door and immediately identified KARA's Damaged Girl playing inside the hall. He peeked stealthily and saw the 5 girls practise their dance routine.

"Jungmin oppa!" Nicole cried. The girls stopped and turned around. Gyuri rushed and stopped the music. "Oppa come in"

"I-I'm sorry to intrude...I-I was loo-looking for.."Jungmin stopped as his eyes met with Seungyeon's.

Seungyeon timidly met his eyes for a brief minute before hiding behind Gyuri

"Oppa how's Somin-sshi?" Gyuri asked, asking the question Seungyeon wanted to but wasnt able to in fear

"She's fine now" Jungmin said with a little smile. Even though she was hiding Jungmin could see Seungyeon breathe a sigh of relief

"Oppa...I swear Seungyeon didnt know...none of did" Gyuri said

"I know...now" Jungmin assured, his eyes fixed on the part of Seungyeon's face peeking from behind Gyuri's hair

Gyuri followed his gaze and smiled softly "I think we're done for the day girls. Let's change" she called out and the girls walked out of the hall leaving Jungmin and Seungyeon behind.

Seungyeon stared at her feet as she nervously fidgetted with her fingers.

"I'm sorry" Jungmin finally said. Looking at her standing infront of him so scared awaiting her punishment which she didnt deserve in the first place, Jungmin finally gave up his ego and apologised

Seungyeon looked up in surprise "I dont blame you...I probably would have done the sa--" but she couldntcomplete her sentence as Jungmin closed the space between them and claimed her lips

"I love you" Jungmin breathed pressing their temples together

"Me too" she whispered

With that, they finally voiced their surpressed confessions. They noth being extremely egoistic, thought of this as an act of losing but now that it was finally out it didnt feel anything like losing. Infact their heart swelled with the greatest happiness. It was amazing for both of them

"Where are we going?" Youngsaeng said

"Shut up and just drive" Hwangbo said looking fixedly at the little lanes through which she was ordering Youngsaeng to drive

Youngsaeng had never seen Hwangbo like this. He remembered discussing the plan of fake enlistment with Hyunjoong. He was the one to propose this.

"You have to push her to the edge to get the confession out of her!" Hyunjoong had said

Youngsaeng hadnt ever been very comfortable with lying and that's why they had practised how he would react to Hwangbo's reaction after the news was declared. But this was something they had never imagined. Youngsaeng was getting more panic striken with every passing second.

"Did she figure out the lie? Is she gonna kidnap me and keep me away so that I cannot go into the army?" Youngsaeng thought "Calm down Youngsaeng...." he told himself "she cannot possibly figure out...or can she? ! Rain recently returned from army and they are close. What if she knows the procedures and understood I was lying?! Oh GOD why didnt I think this through?! I shouldnt have ever agreed to Hyunjoong's stupid plan"

"Stop" Hwangbo suddenly cried and Youngsaeng hit the break roughly "Come out" Hwangbo said as she hastily unbuckled herself. Youngsaeng followed suit robotically.

Hwangbo got down from the car and entered the building they parked infront of. Youngsaeng blindly followed her.She stopped in her tracks after a while and turned around. She took Youngsaeng's hand in hers and knelt down

"Heo Youngsaeng will you marry me?" Hwangbo said
