Dong Sun released Jessica from the kiss and they both looked at each other. They were locked in each other’s eyes until Dong Sun blinked and looked away. When he turned back to Jessica his face turned totally impassive.

“So you got everything?” he asked, his voice sounded totally professional,totally devoid of intimacy and care

“Mmm” Jessica nodded

“You flight’s in 3 hours.  We can dine at Nick’s Dinner and then we’ll go to the airport. Okay?”

“Okay” Jessica was totally taken aback by this mercurial behavior. How can he be so cold to me after such a passionate kiss?

Dong Sun carried her suitcase and went down to take his car out while Jessica picked up her handbag and locked her apartment. After safely locking everything she went down too and joined him in the car. When she arrived Dong Sun opened the door without a word or smile—he was totally expressionless

Though Jessica was totally pissed she slowly started to understand what was up with Dong Sun. This was how he behaved when he’s too overwhelmed by emotions. Dong Sun never wanted anyone to be aware of his emotions.He worked like a closed system—none effects him. So whenever he goes through a emotional turmoil he turns himself into a lifeless rock.

DING DONG

Granny opened the door and Somin entered.

“You wanted to talk?” Somin asked

“Hmm but first go get changed.”

Somin showered and changed into her Hello Kitty pajamas. As she rinsed her hair looking at the mirror she looked at the pajamas and remembered the time when Hyunjoong saw her in them. An innocent smile formed on her face. Then she remembered Hyunjoong’s face after her Love Game revelation and smile faded. The past soo sweet and simple.

She finally went out into the dinning room where Granny was setting up the table for dinner. After they finished dinner and Somin’s Grandpa went to sleep granny asked Somin to sit down with her.

“Somin tell me whatever happened. I need to know”

Somin sighed and narrated everything that happened.

“But why did you tell him about the Love Game??” Granny cried in exasperation

“It felt like cheating granny! I want his true love granny. I wanted him to respond to me love from him not the rules!”

“Oh my dear! You just don’t get it do you?” Granny shook her head and Somin looked at her in confusion

“I told you beforehand,at the very beginning, that you had to follow the rules diligently till the end. But now…aissh” Granny closed her eyes and pressed her temples

“But granny that would be just attraction not love! I wanted him to LOVE me!”

Granny sighed heavily and looked up at her “Its my fault….I should have told you earlier. Somin-ah love game is just the basic step. It just get’s the relationship started. Whether it lasts or not that’s determined by love. Sometimes we’re so preoccupied by the shiny things in life we tend to overlook the important ones. Hyunjoong didn’t look at you in that light because he was dazzled by Haera’s beauty. I told you this Love Game so that you could get his attention so that he considers you which he had. After all the rules were exhausted I would have told you to observe and watch how things worked out”

Somin looked at her Granny,dazed

“Love Game will get you attention after that it was all you and your love. It’d have brought him to you but making him to stay was your work totally. No game,no trick could have helped you.” Granny sighed “Things were going smooth Somin….abit fast I have to admit. I didn’t expect he’ll break up with Haera and confess to you just after 2^nd rule but still it was okay. But now……even if he loved you he wouldn’t…” Granny’s voice trailed off and Somin heart sank

DING DONG

Hyunjoong’s doorbell rang

“Who could it be?” Siwon said as he got up .Hyunjoong  didn’t move he just kept on surfing the TV channels sitting on his couch. He had been very quiet all evening

Siwon looked back just before he opened the door and found Hyunjoong staring blankly at the TV “Something must be really wrong” he thought. He sighed and opened the door to find a panting Youngsaeng standing outside

“Hyung! what’s wrong?” Siwon cried in alarm as he saw him

Youngsaeng entered hurriedly “Hyunjoong! Where is he” he shouted

The commotion finally reached Hyunjoong and he rose up from his couch and turned. When he found a desperate Youngsaeng he threw the remote and rushed to his side

“Youngsaeng what happened? Why are you looking so pale—“ he asked in exasperation

“Hyung! Jungmin is going to propose Somin tomorrow!”
