"4years ago when we went on a hiatus it was not intentional, it was forced. Today we are going to finally unveil all the dirty works of DSP" Hyunjoong announced

The audience gasped.

"What are you trying to say?" one reporter stood up

"You're contract expired and you went onto different companies...you are trying to say that's not what happened?" another yelled from the back

"You're the first one to change companies! You did that at your own will! What was forced in all this?" another reporter cried

"SETTLE DOWN!"  Dong Sun cried "All of your questions will be answered one by one."

"Thank you" Hyunjoong nodded as the reporters took their seats. "Its true June 2010 marked the expiry of our contracts with DSP. Expiry of contract isnt that big of a deal, we could always renew it couldnt we? But we didnt. Have you ever dug down to find why?"

There were murmurs in the audience.

"You wanted to go solo and hence you switched companies and without their extravagant leader there would be no SS501 hence the rest were forced to move out too" the tall reporter from before accused Hyunjoong

"DONT GO ABOUT TELLING STORIES WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH!" Jungmin stood up yelling

"I am not making stories that's what was told in DSP's official media statement and all of yours too" The shrewd reporter pushed up his spectacle and narrowed his eyes

"We could have done that under DSP too! DSP got hyung into BOF and me into Grease....that was individual activity!" Jungmin cried "use your brains and stop blaming hyung for evrything!"

"What's the truth then?!" one reporter shrieked

"Truth is SS501 had to stop because of me" Kyujong gasped

The reporters were in awe

"No Kyu! You're not the reason!" Hyunjoong held Kyu. "The reason for SS501's hiatus is DSP's greed...DSP is greedy! They have never understood anything beyond profit and loss!" Hyunjoong stood up. He exhaled before continuing "When our contract expired, the contract was renewed but we soon realised there was a major change in it. They had dropped Kyu from SS501"

The audience fell silent.

"We protested but they didnt budge and so I left thinking they will be forced to give in" Hyunjoong recalled

"But DSP was stubborn...cunning and much more shrewd than we imagined." Jungmin said "They  started all these 'disband' rumours to tamper our image especially hyung's so that we would be forced to come back"

The room was silent. Too many revelations were done and the herd of reporters were totally in shock. DSP was a powerful name of the industry--they had hunch quite often that there were misdoings happening there but were never able to unveil any of them. And now, today it was finally revealed that too by the legendary SS501, the most successful band DSP ever produced. It was big news...bigger than any of them imagined when they first entered this hallroom today morning

"Why now?" one of the reporters stood up finally breaking the silence. Everyone looked up at him. "You could have spoken about this 4 years back...why now?"

"Do you think DSP would have allowed it then, considering the extent they went to tamper our image so that we couldnt go solo?" Jungmin said "Moreover we were kinda freshman in the industry. We were nothing without DSP, whatever we knew of the industry was because of DSP--we hadnt stood on our own"

"We still arent independant enough but this time we had enough.." Hyunjoong said "cause this time DSP had stooped way too low"

"What do you mean?" the reporters asked

"Are you aware of  Hyunjoong's drama rating?" Dong Sun took over. "It's 30% on an average! and if you're aware of the original storyline you'll know it's just halfway through"

"Yes you just wrapped up season 1 " one of the reporters pointed out

"Correct but didnt it strike you? If I had intended it to be composed of two seasons wouldnt I have discussed it with the channel and wouldnt you have known about it? But did you?"

 The reporters gasped. Dong Sun was right they had no information like that.

"That's because I had no plans like that. I was forced to stop the show inspite of the high ratings. You guys can go and interview the station people after the conference and we are certain DSP would have a hand in it" Dong Sun concluded confidently

"You mean to say DSP force stopped the airing of the drama!" one of the reporters cried

"That's a big accusation! Are you sure about this!?" chimed in another

"Why would DSP do that? They have never intervened into your solo activities!" The tall glass eyed reporter stood up saying

"Because this time they found out our comeback plan" Hyunjoong explained "When the 5 of us performed at the premiere of my drama...they realized we are planning to bring back SS501.It scared them"

"They wanted to render us helpless...that's why they forcestopped Hyunjoong's drama, that's why Kyu's military enrolment came in early...Jungmin suddenly got a lucrative contract from Japan" Youngsaeng pointed out.

"So what you're trying to say is, DSP wanted to erase SS501 from the fans' minds.."The tall glass-eyed reporter spoke " If that was so, why would they introduce their new boy group as 'the successor of SS501' ?" he asked pushing the nosebridge of his moon shaped spectacles "Why would DSP try to continue SS501's legacy if they wanted the world to forget them"

The reporters nodded in agreement and looked suspiciously at SS501

"YAH! Who are you??? You are one of Lee's pets arent you?!" Jungmin yelled standing up

"Minnie stop!" Youngsaeng said with a heavy voice. Jungmin glared at the reporter for a few seconds before taking his seat."Now..." Youngsaeng looked directly at the reporter--an eerie calmness prevailed in his eyes."wise man...answer me this...in a kingdom what happens when the king goes missing?"

"Ah.."the tall reporter fumbled "the king's successor ascends the throne and becomes the new king"

"Good." Youngsaeng smirked "What happens to the original king then?"

The tall reporter's eyes grew big in horror

"He becomes powerless and slowly people forget him" Youngsaeng narrowed his eyes

The reporters gasped as the meaning of Youngsaeng's analogy sunk in.

"DSP Boyz just appear to be continuing our legacy..but in reality DSP is introducing them as our successors for the exact contrary reason" Youngsaeng finished

"We don't have anything against DSP Boyz..."Hyunjoong said "They are a rookie group and as their seniors we wish them all the best. I would request you all to be kind to them and don't involve them in this. They probably had no idea about Lee's plan--they were just pawns"

"DSP has played it really dirty...they even attacked hyung twice" Hyungjun said "But fortunately hyung survived"

"Yes I had an angel watching over me" Hyunjoong said thoughtfully as he remembered. He looked up at the confused crowd of reporters infornt of him and smiled. He stood up and crossed the length of the podium and disappeared behind a door. After a while the door opened and Hyunjoong came out. He smiled and turned around holding out his hand. Curious eyes of reporters followed his every move. Their eyes grew big as a female hand grasped Hyunjoong's hand.

Camera flashes flooded as Somin came out of the door. Hyunjoong wrapped one hand around her shoulder and held her other hand in his other, steadying her. Somin tried to look at the line of reporters beyond the line of bodyguards but the camera flashes made her dizzy. She looked up at Hyunjoong who smiled at her assuringly. Hyunjoong carefully walked her to the podium and placed her at the seat next to him

"I want you all to meet the angel of my life, my fiance, Jung Somin" Hyunjoong announced proudly
