DING-DONG!

Grandma Jung was preparing breakfast for her granddaughter when the bell rang. When she opened the door she gasped “KIM HYUN JOONG!”

“Anneoyong haseyo” Hyunjoong bowed shyly “I’m looking for Somin”

“Who is it granny?” Somin came out of her room yawning and rubbing her eyes,again in her ‘Hello Kitty’ pajamas

Granny moved aside to reveal Hyunjoong “Hello Kitty” he waved at her teasingly

Somin eyes grew big in shock and then she rushed inside.

“C-Come inside son!” granny invited him in. “I’m Somin’s grandmother”

“Oh anneoyong haseyo haraomoni”

“I’m preparing breakfast. Would you like to have some?”

“Ummm would have loved to granny but Somin has to report at 7.I came to pick her up”

“Oh ok then I’ll pack you some too along with Somin’s.  Okay?”

“Mmm” Hyunjoong nodded

Grandma Jung smilingly went away in the kitchen and soon Somin came out—all dressed up

“What you doing here?”

“I came to pick you up” Hyunjoong said in a matter-of-fact tone

“Why? I didn’t drink—“ Somin stopped remembering her granny was in the kitchen. “I didn’t drink last night” she said in a low tone

“So am I not allowed to pick you up if you were sober the previous night” Hyunjoong whispered back,teasing her.

Somin hit his arm lightly while Hyunjoong chuckled.

“Here you go kids. Eat it in the car while its hot” granny came in with the lunchboxes and handed them Hyunjoong and Somin

“Kamsamhida” they cried in unison and left bidding farewell to granny.

In the car Somin started to open her lunchbox to eat.

“yaah! You’re just going to eat while I drive? I’m not your chauffeur madam!” Hyunjoong complained

“But I’m hungry!”  somin pouted

“I’m hungry too!”

“So what do you want me to do?”

“Feed me”

“What?” Somin’s eyes grew big

“Feed me….aaaaah” Hyunjoong opened his mouth wide

Somin gulped

“Palli! I’m starving!”

Somin opened Hyunjoong lunchbox nervously. Granny packed packed egg rice for both of them.She took a spoonful  and just kept staring at it as she was unsure what to do next

“Yaah AD! Do you want me to starve? Palli! Aaah” Hyunjoong opened his mouth again.

Somin’s shaking hand approached Hyunjoong’s mouth slowly. Hyunjoong leaned forward and took the spoonful.Abit of rice stuck near his mouth.

“Cute AD could you please get it?” Hyunjoong raised his face showing her the stuck on rice.

“Clean it yourself” somin said nervously

“How can I? I’m driving!”

“Aiiish!” Somin pulled out a tissue and started cleaning it. As she did she couldn’t help but notice his lips—Somin blushed and quickly leaned back to her seat.She continued to feed him,but this time she tried to keep her hands steady while she did so.

“Your granny’s cooking is mindblowing!” Hyunjoong exclaimed when they were done. “So delicious!”

“She’s great at everything! She can make makchang,bossam,gobchang,jupchae…”

Hyunjoong looked at her intently as she narrated the list.

“Aaaah AD you’re making me hungry again!” Hyunjoong pouted

Somin giggled. “She can sew well too and sing as well! Her voice is so soothing and sweet!”

“You really love her don’t you?”

“Yes…after mom and dad died she and grandpa have been taking care of me.”

“I’m sorry” Hyunjoong apologized

“Don’t be. It’s fate and to be honest I never really miss them….Haraomoni and harabeoji never made me feel like an orphan. They call me their angel!” Somin beamed,a huge smile spread across her face.

“You truly are an angel!” Hyunjoong said

“Hmm?”

“Not only for your grandparents you are my angel too.”

Somin smiled as her cheeks turned crimson. They finally arrived at the studio and both of them got out

“Somin-sshi ?” Hyunjoong called her as she was about to enter the studio

“De?”

“Are you free tonight?”

“Yes why?”

“Let’s go out.”

Somin’s inside burst into a dance of ecstacy. Hyunjoong-her dreamman- has asked her out!

“OMO! This is so great!!!!!” she thought

“Somin-sshi?” Hyunjoong was still waiting for her response

“ok yes!” Somin nodded
