Hyunjoong waved at Somin’s granny as they drove away. When they were out on the street it was pin drop silence. Hyunjoong glanced stealthily at Somin who was sitting quietly,her hands laid in her lap with her fingers knotted together.Her satin dress did nothing to hide her glowing milky legs. She seemed skinnier than before but that didn’t effect her innocent beauty.She appeared equally adorable like before,infact now Hyunjoong’s urge to kiss her was accompanied by the urge to take care of her. Hyunjoong focused on the road

“I thought I’d notify you of my arrival beforehand but your line was coming busy” he said impassively

“Oh… when did you call?” Somin squeeled hearing his voice. Finally they were talking!

“Around ten minutes before I arrived”

“Oh…I was talking to Dong Sun then” Somin replied after thinking for a while “He called to say bye. Sorry I couldn’t take your call”

“Bye? Why? Where’s he going?” Hyunjoong inquired

“Australia” Somin replied smilingly

“To surprise Jessica?” Hyunjoong’s eyes grew big in surprise.

Somin nodded her head excitedly

“Woah! That’s amazing!” Hyunjoong squeeled in excitement

“I know!” Somin joined in and the two of them laughed like crazy. Hyunjoong turned abit and found Somin laughing too with her eyes closed. He looked at her caringly as she continued to giggle—she looked so lovable,innocent and sweet. Memories of their friendship days flashed across his eyes--the times were so much better and beautiful.Somin felt his gaze on her and she hesitantly looked up too. But as soon as she did Hyunjoong turned away looking straight ahead on the road. Somin felt a sting of disappointment as Hyunjoong went back to his impassive self.

“Where are we going?” Somin asked in hope of some conversation

“The Valentine bash” Hyunjoong matter-of-factly. “Where else did you think we were going?”

“No-nowhere….I di-didn’t think..” Somin trailed off

Hyunjoong chuckled sarcastically “So what you’re saying to me is you just hopped into this car without thinking?”

Somin nodded hesitantly

“What if I had kidnapped you or done something to you?”

“You wouldn’t” Somin whispered

“Really? What makes you say that?” Hyunjoong rolled his eyes

“Cause it’s you. You’d never hurt me no matter what happens between us”

Hyunjoong turned to find Somin looking at him…her big brown eyes filled with trust and sincerity. Hyunjoong closed his eyes quickly and turned back to focus on the road. Somin saw his knuckles grow more prominent as he gripped the steering wheel tightly
