Hyunjoong looked down at Somin. She was breathing heavily,her hands still clutching the edge of his jacket,her eyes burning into his. He could hear her thumping heart and he was sure she definitively could hear his as well. For a moment he was lost—lost in the musical thumping of her heart,in those beautiful brown sleepy eyes of hers. But then flashes of their past hurled into his mind breaking the trance

“What the hell are you doing?” Hyunjoong yelled as he pushed himself up.

Somin got up clumsily after him “Hyunjoong I just—“

“I just what?! Don’t try to act innocent with me! I’ve known you enough to know that you’re anything but that!”Hyunjoong said,glaring at her “I have seen your true colors! I know—“

“Hyunjoong! My boy!” Brian came running. Hyunjoong looked up in irritation and shock. “Are you okay?” Brian cried,urgency evident from his body language.

“Yes I am.” Hyunjoong looked at him in confusion

“Talking on the phone while walking on the road is dangerous habit! Don’t you know that?!” Brian said in disapproval. As Hyunjoong continued to stare at him in confusion Brian exhaled in irritation and cried “ Why didn’t you see the car speeding towards you?”

“Car? What car?” Hyunjoong cried in horror and confusion

“Shincha Hyunjoong! A white sedan came speeding towards you.But you were saved thanks to this young lady here” Brian turned to Somin “who pulled you at just the nick of time.” Brian exhaled and pressed his temples. Hyunjoong looked at him in disbelief and then his gaze shifted to Somin who was now looking at the ground timidly

“Thank you so much for saving him” Brian bowed and thanked her with folded hands “if you weren’t there I dunno what would have happened”

Somin shook her head and smiled hesitantly and stealthily glanced at Hyunjoong who was still staring at her.

“Get in now you two. Drive carefully” Brian motioned them and they got in to the car.
